It would be the Holy Spirit moving me to do so, not false pride. This is more a forum than a service. When I am convinced of another I share, until then, it is not up to my whim. God bless you and fill you with His light. amen.

you and I both believe Jesus Christ is Lord, and are gifted with the spirit of prophesy.

31 For you all can prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be exhorted.

I do not mind if you post what the Spirit has revealed to you, in fact please do!

more ideas for resting on Saturday

if you meet with other Christians on Saturday, look for a group that meets within walking distance of your house. That way you can avoid driving. Of course, if no group meets nearby, we can pray that God will help build one!

not true at all.

I do see that the disciples were plucking grain and rubbing it in their hands. That would be a simple task, and one which needs no cleanup afterwards.

so those seem to be good ideas if one wishes to achieve a blessing by resting on Saturday.
All is well Dan you can not take what you did not give. You are not adhering to the Teachings of the Lord regarding the Commandments which is your choice but why you spend time giving silly ideas about peanuts and bread I don't know.. what is your intent? You continue in your walk of Faith as shall I.. if you believe the Sabbath is not to be remembered then that is your belief and mine is that it is.

All the accusations about me trying to earn salvation and gonna be told to depart because of my iniquity have no bearing because no man told me I had to keep the Sabbath... it came from love and gratitude of being set free by the Messiah. I'm content and learned from my Master that it was made for me and not me made for Sabbath.. a blessing not a curse. But without the Holy Spirit Baptism I would not of known this... and been scared to pick anything up in case I broke Sabbath and needed to be put to death.

The Teaching of it is lawful to do good stands out.

Today is Labor day in Canada and in the US where we rest from our works.

So it too is a type or shadow of the Sabbath rest that is in Christ just like in was in the law of Moses in the Old Testament.

Happy Sabbath day. Happy Sabbath day is for every day for those that are in Christ and Christ is in them!

I don't see the comparison in the slightest.. but that is your belief and you know the reasons for sharing here.

Maybe God knows better than we do,
God does know better than we do....that is why He wants us to stay with what HE has established and not jiggle things araound like we do. HE does not change and even His SON is the same yesterday, today and forever. It is man who must change and be converted...not the other way round as they are trying to do.
And the slaves who had to work all Saturday and could not have time for worship? What about them?

That is WHY God said what He did through Paul in the inspired Scripture - Rom 14.6; etc.

And anyway you don't keep God's Sabbath, with the time line you don't know when it is, It is man-made

my intent is to talk about ways to rest on Saturday (possibly different from keeping the Sabbath) for those who desire to attempt to acheive a blessing from resing on Saturday.

if you honestly believe my posts to be silly, I encourage you to put me on 'ignore', then you won't have to be exposed to them.

The advice you give is of no purpose to myself with regard to walking and not driving or peanut and bread.. I won't put you on ignore but ask you to stop offering what I view silly advice to Sabbath keepers.. you know your true intent and if my perception is wrong then your heart is not convicted.

When did man start teaching the Ten Commandments are no longer? It was not in my youth. It was not the Baptists or the Methodists, the Nazarene, the full godpel the charismatics..........not even the RCC as far as I remember.

The Ten Commandments were not offensive to any denomination, yet man, today, wishes to destroy God's will for His children.

How can this be? What is flesh to thin k it may supercede the eternal, the Spirit?

Poor, deficient creatures who would bend the truth to fit the material, yes, poverty stricken they are.

God bless all of God's obedient children, and may He have mercy on those disobedient to bring them to HIs light in Jesus Christ, amen.
How do we think about that command to keep the Sabbath day? I believe that lawlessness is wrong and of the destroyer. When God obviously gave it to you and me to come together in and remember that we all where created by a loving God. Isn't it a precept of God and therefore the Messiah of God to not lean on our own understanding? Also to not forsake his ways but to do the good work of the law without forgetting the more weight of the law, faith, justice, and mercy.? We have wicked hearts that point to the error of the law as if it came from that law. No the death that is brought through way of the perfect and holy law was not its instruction it is sin that seduced us away from the perfect way to live and have life. Have life through the Messiah and know that way to live in grace keeping to the promise of a greater understanding and renewed way of life and the comforter will reveal all truth. We all need more introspective work individually and humble ourselves to submit to the Lord by his way not our thoughts on any subject. The reason I am pleading with the people who disobey The Father's way is because I do believe that Messiah is literally calling on the nation to repent and enter into the Sabbath day together and be healed. Remember the words of the Lord? Remember also to enter into His rest as well. Maybe at first it won't make sense to obey the commandment but when you learn to love it and God for giving it then I believe our understanding of the rest in Messiah will grow.

more ideas about attempting to achieve a blessing from resting on Saturday.

disposable dishes, then no need to wash dishes.

myself, I find washing dishes to be not very restful.

Friend....we work with what we are given - whenever it is the Sabbath day where we are !!! but we don't INVENT our own as SOME did in Rom 14. Paul never told anyone to CHOOSE their own Sabbath.

We are told to work out our own salvation, be concerned with our own affairs - GOD will take care of the slaves, those who can't.

So many people are just focused on REST only. When God gave that commandment in Ex 20v9 He was talking about resting from our own works/labour. God mentioned nothing about it including 'HIS good works in the future or the 'good works we would learn from Him. Learning would already start in Lev 23 when 'assembling for 'study was commanded !
So don't let us be entirely focused on 'resting for ever' that was never meant to happen. We are being re-created unto 'good works....let's concentrate on those for a change !

Is it not amazing? I forgot the part that the grace folks are hung up on, it is also a Commandment fro our Father.

He does not need command any of His children who love Him for even a hint is a command in the hearts of their love.

Forgive my hogging the thread but I seem to be on a bit of a holy babble.

Thinking about the last I posted, I realize just how ridiculous so-called brethren are to think anyone who obeys the laws as now explained by Yeshua is "under the law" again, ridiculous.

First of all, when we read God's wisdom in th e laws remaining after the enlightening of Yeshua, we no longer see the remnat as laws in stone but they are wisdom and truth.

If you think it is a lw to honor God.........you do not believe or know Him.

If you think it is a law not to steal...you do not believe or know Him.

If honoring your parenst must be a law for anyone, that anyone is very shallow, and do not com back with your parents were cruel or neglectful, you are talking to someone who has expereienced much worse, and I love my parents dearly, realizing that even if I have been justified, they had problems just as you and I.... so never say to hoor our parents is a law.

This holds true not only for the Ten cmmandments but for all the remain laws of good conduct......laws? are you crazy? If you still think of being Like Yeshua is law, then you know nothing in the Holy Spirit., but I will give you this, you are probably very religious.
