they that are in the flesh does not mean super-spiritualize

if we walk in the spirit, it is an actual obedience to the LIGHT

if we walk in the light as He is in the light....God dwells in the light and with Him is no darkness at all

we do not slay giants

the biggest giant of all is already slain. he knows his end

you cannot slay a spirit. the worst are reserved in chains at the moment

there is a difference between fallen angels and evil spirits

evil spirits are not in chains but fallen angels are

with all the praying certain groups do over cities, have the cities changed?

spiritual warfare is described as a wrestling match...not mortal combat. the only mortal who can die in the conflict is the human

therefore stand and having done all, continue to stand (somewhat paraphrased)
We don't slay the giants with our own words, that is true. It is the Word out of His mouth. And I think you are taking a pot shot at me with superspiritualize.

If I hadn't studied the words which you seem to not like for some reason, I wouldn't know the difference between the logos which is said to be as a knife or dagger in the greek, compared to the sword in the mouth of Jesus. That is the prophetic word that we give in our standing...stand firm in this. His word does the action. Not ours.

You are saying the new covenant is not for the body of Christ? I don't use the word church that much.

The new covenant is not as the Old agreement with God and man.

It's the will of inheritance that Jesus has written that we might be formed in His image.
ok, missed that in your reply, I see it now...thanks for the clarification...

Lying spirits are what we are standing against. That which is against the Word.

Amen....such truth...

1 Tim 6.12
[SUP]12 [/SUP]Fight the good fight of faith; take hold of the eternal life to which you were called, and you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.

This is also what I used to judge the prophecy as false...

The only fight we are told to fight in the NT is the fight of faith....this is because deception is the only tool in Satan's tool box....

Praying over cities is good, but spiritual warring on their behalf is faulty and wrong...You do not have spiritual authority over a city...

did I mention praying over cities? I don't think so.

Not even on my mind. Nor do I do it.

This is the thing you do and others too. You think your thoughts about what we are saying is true so you interject them. All the time. And you get them wrong.

Slaying giants is lies come against our mind that is the truth in the Word of God. Symbolism. True in the OT, but symbolism in the new. The old interprets the new in pictures.

How I see this is when Jacob wrestled with the angel, and prevailed except for the weakness in his thigh. I don't quite understand that part yet, but Jacobs name was changed to Israel. He rules as God is the Hebrew definition.

The one that gave the word used David. I understood what was said.

You can justify this false prophets word all day, but it does not pass the word test....

However, I did give you a word and you received it.

I don't get that many words either. I am not a prophet. I've said this many times. But the prophetic is a different thing.

Lovely to see a more gentle approach to one and other.

Sometimes asking for a little clarity will overcome misunderstandings.

If we with good intent ask each other to elaborate and not try to cause each other to stumble.. we would get more learning and growth in Christ I'm quite sure.
