It is part of the Gospel which is the New Testament.. which is coming to pass in that day.. for us to have His Testimony to hand in ours. I believe the verse you offer as I do all of His Testament and I am not the leper who is being healed under the law of Moses.. the Messiah was superseding the Old while bringing us the New... it was part of His Ministry.

And you demand of backing up or found to be false is your ego and not of GOD.
AGAIN....you cannot back your stance....my statement was correct....not everything said by Jesus is applicable unto us because we are not under the law, but under the New Covenant of grace...why can't you just admit the truth and your error??

I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come

AMEN........because ALL workers for believe they MUST do something or KEEP themselves saved....

My bible states we are KEPT by the power of GOD...so...if I can lose it then the following must be true...

a. Jesus/God is weak
b. His promise to keep me by HS power is false

Once you believe and are born again you would not dare write such things...

I learned from my own experience with determined truth resisters that this is why Jesus didn't engage his accusers at his illegal trial just before his crucifixion. There was nothing that he could say that he hadn't already said that would pacify his enemies because they were not questioning him to learn anything but rather to destroy him.
Hi PHart, to use your own words are you a, determined truth resister.

"Are you so foolish? After beginning by means of the Spirit, are you now trying to finish by means of the flesh?" Galations3:3

There is no error in Believing His Testament and doing what He teaches.. your example and mentality is like me telling you to cut off your hand if it causes you to sin... or pluck out your eye... which was spoken to those around Him on that day yet we are to take heed and likewise the Leper being told to give goes back to this: Leviticus 14

The same power that saves us keeps us from sin... yes GOD gave His Son to redeem us and make us walk in the Spirit. We live by Faith and that Faith leads us on the path of Righteousness.. and that is what we are sharing against, your verse that conveniently is not in its place here:

Titus 3

3 Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work,
2 To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.
3 For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.
4 But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,
5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
6 Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;
7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
8 This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.
9 But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.
10 A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject;
11 Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself.
12 When I shall send Artemas unto thee, or Tychicus, be diligent to come unto me to Nicopolis: for I have determined there to winter.
13 Bring Zenas the lawyer and Apollos on their journey diligently, that nothing be wanting unto them.
14 And let our's also learn to maintain good works for necessary uses, that they be not unfruitful.
15 All that are with me salute thee. Greet them that love us in the faith. Grace be with you all. Amen.

Those that believe GOD are to be careful to maintain good works...

We are saved by GOD's Grace and Mercy and we are to be fruitful...

Faith that worketh by love.... and We learn of Him and do what He teaches.. and the Holy Spirit is given to guide and comfort and to know that we are the Children of GOD.

What Spirit is this? Should I answer to you or await my time:

2 Corinthians 5

6Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: 7(For we walk by faith, not by sight 8We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. 9Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him. 10For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

Im glad you thinks but if you start a thread based on a verse then I think the whole chapter is to be shared to give full insight.
Though I realise we have to keep it short for cc somewhat.

im not hurt by you DC I may find you rude and abrupt and unkind but this is not about me but my Heavenly Fathers Truth.

im not sure which thread but one wrote that what makes you think you can die for Christ tomorrow if you can't live for Him today.. and if I get hurt by what we converse them I'm not ready to lay my head on that block am I.. but GOD strengthen me and make me bold unto my last breath.

Now the back and forth means something even if we see it not this day.. GOD knows the outcome.

Now other than you being a little less abrupt and rude all is well.. For the Truth stands the test of time.

By the way I have great respect for the Marine Corps, they are aways the tip of the spear going into battle. Us Army guys are there to watch your back and move in for support just in case, of course that would be in a rare occasion....up the hill down the hill all the way every day.....:)

Jesus never attempted nor thought about pacifying His enemies. Instead He died for them.

And as a determined truth resister yourself, you only believe a truncated version of His Work and Gospel. We're not trying to pacify you either, we're just rejecting your false gospel of self effort. Interestingly enough, those who crucified Him had the same self effort gospel.

It's remarkable that you cannot see that and attempt to turn it onto those of us who happen to believe.

Roger that, the lessons learned in the military stick with you, nobody likes the discipline until you needed it in battle and then through life it self. A drill Sergeant is like the school master (law), that leads us to Christ and Grace, Semper Fi

My wife and I live in the High Desert near Edwards Air Force Base where the space shuttle would land and we frequently see and hear Phantom Jets taking off in pairs. Always a reminder that freedom is not free. Thanks for your service to our country as well.

Quote:

"It became the Marine Corps motto in 1883. These two simple words guides Marines to remain faithful to the mission at hand, to each other, to the Corps and to country, no matter what happens or is happening around them. ... The marine corp motto is Semper Fidelis meaning "Always Faithful."

The thread started off with a verse... but the verse is well placed in a chapter that teaches where works are to be maintained by those that believe GOD.

We are saved and born again unto good works and taught to love and provoke each other as we see the day approaching.. Yet the self righteous and cake taking... vanilla coffee.. comments are thrown .. yet the Truth shines brighter.

Not to lay any charges for all is forgiven and love overcomes..

And when you consider that name calling is nothing compared to what believers have endured... but I pray that we remain Faithful and strengthened by GOD through our Lord to share when True persecution comes our way.

For now let us putt the full armour of GOD and Hold Fast.
Works are an outpouring of our salvation, not the cause of maintaining it.

Jesus-->MANY will come before me in that day claiming

a. To know me
b. Their good works in my name as the means of entry into the kingdom

The same message preached by all who push a works based salvation and or by those who teach salvation can be lost and must be maintained by works......

The word MANY = PLENTEOUS in NUMBER..........

The saved will rest in the promises and surety of JESUS while being KEPT by HIS POWER.....
