Let's imagine that CC was going to bury a time capsule and you could contribute 1 item.

What would you put in the capsule? Why?

How long should we let it stay buried?

Could the suggestion also be other members on CC... :p

A small crucifix pendant, because there will come a time when things like that will be banned, and it is something people need to remember.
Until the Antichrist comes out and starts blaspheming i guess.
 
I'm thinking I would include a handwritten portion of Scripture and/or journal entries of what my everyday life is like today, since handwriting (cursive in particular) is already nearly obsolete.

I was talking to a realtor who told me she has clients in their 20's who print their names on all the legal documents involved because they have no idea how to write in cursive.

I realized that about 5 yrs ago when I was watching TV. On whatever show I was watching, they gave this young woman a note to read in cursive, and she had no idea what it was.

Anyway, wonder why the cursive is fading? I know this is the age of technology. I just wonder how that has contributed to the fading of cursive handwriting.

On a similar note, I might leave the hooked on phonics program. Learning the alphabet phonetically is something else that I hear is or has faded.

I'm thinking along these lines as well. My devotion time notes or something. Would be something nice to have out of mind and then back in hand later to see the growth

It's my understanding schools don't teach it anymore. Haven't for some time.
That said, despite learning cursive in school i rarely ever used it. When I used to write (pre-computers) i used all caps print.
Wrote a letter a few weeks ago. Still all caps print =D
 
What is funny to me now is remembering back in grade school that I liked to write in cursive and they made me go backwards and print. Printing always seemed so disjointed to me and I liked the flow of writing all the letters together. Still prefer it to printing as it just flows for me.

Oh yes, the time capsule....

Write a letter about the good old days.....and what they missed out on in cursive of course - let them worry about finding someone who can read it....lol

Oh yeah. It would be like hieroglyphics to them. Let's leave a note in cursive just so they will have to decipher it. lol

The many conversations of baptism doesn't save even though the Bible says it does, once you are saved you're always saved, and obeying God is optional.

It doesn't matter how long, years from now it'll still be the same. (God willing we or the world have that much time).

My elementary and middle school made me do cursive from kindergarten.
If I didn't my paper would get thrown away and it was a zero.
I did go to a charter school though
 
If you should add a pencil and paper, they would think think we were mad a hundred years on. I think i will add my digital camera with some nice pictures of the village and cars and stuff. I think cameras will be so 20th century, though. So perhaps if I could bury my pad. I guess that will look strange a hundred years from now. And will they even recognize a device that you have to charge? Anyway. I'll fill my pad with pictures and articles and perhaps some of my chat history to some of my friends.
