Read the thread...Phart likes to say he believes the same thing as I do.....a lie....he knows full well that he teaches that HE MUST KEEP HIMSELF saved and I teach that JESUS alone keeps us saved.......
Can you guys ever be honest?
To be fair to people you have to admit what they say, and what you think it means.
To admit you could walk away, but by the grace of God is being honest.

Many do walk away. I trust Christ to help me through, as I stay believing because of His
anointing. How can this admission and simply reading the promises as given is unbelief.
That makes no sense.

Can you be honest enough to admit this is a reasonable approach.

Now in the past the indoctrination and loyalty of these folk make it impossible to be this
honest. It is always some strange back biting comments or distraction. It is used to maintain
the fallacy. Just watch how flat eat there argue, it is the same.

What have I learnt? Your emotional history dictates what one can accept or not.
I know because I too was bound because it sometimes cost a lot to read.

But I bring good news, God can free you and bring new emotional life to your
experience. Do you fear anger, lust, greed, envy, frustration, hurt, loneliness, rejection?
All have their place but not repressed, closed down and ignored because they are you
and you are killing yourself but in blindness.

It is hard to admit that most of your life is not you but others and what you think they
want. Now most here will scoff at these words and attack me. But this shows how little
you let God rule and how much your history with others is your life. How often are you
ever alone and how this feels? One can feel it is all ok, except when you stop, at which
point you scream, and do not know why.

Jesus wants to bring peace, love and resolution to this emotional world, but until you admit
it exists it runs you like a puppet. So begin listening to who you are and what Jesus says about
it. God bless you.

Can you jump out of the ark? God sealed the door. Could Noah have opened it to jump out?

That may not be the best anology, as GOD sealing the door from the outside was not trying to KEEP NOAH IN, but rather to keep the Water Out.

Genesis 8:4-14 (YLT)
[SUP]4 [/SUP] And the ark resteth, in the seventh month, in the seventeenth day of the month, on mountains of Ararat;
[SUP]5 [/SUP] and the waters have been going and becoming lacking till the tenth month; in the tenth month, on the first of the month, appeared the heads of the mountains.
[SUP]6 [/SUP] And it cometh to pass, at the end of forty days, that Noah openeth the window of the ark which he made,
[SUP]7 [/SUP] and he sendeth forth the raven, and it goeth out, going out and turning back till the drying of the waters from off the earth.
[SUP]8 [/SUP] And he sendeth forth the dove from him to see whether the waters have been lightened from off the face of the ground,
[SUP]9 [/SUP] and the dove hath not found rest for the sole of her foot, and she turneth back unto him, unto the ark, for waters are on the face of all the earth, and he putteth out his hand, and taketh her, and bringeth her in unto him, unto the ark.
[SUP]10 [/SUP] And he stayeth yet other seven days, and addeth to send forth the dove from the ark;
[SUP]11 [/SUP] and the dove cometh in unto him at even-time, and lo, an olive leaf torn off in her mouth; and Noah knoweth that the waters have been lightened from off the earth.
[SUP]12 [/SUP] And he stayeth yet other seven days, and sendeth forth the dove, and it added not to turn back unto him any more.
[SUP]13 [/SUP] And it cometh to pass in the six hundredth and first year, in the first month, in the first of the month, the waters have been dried from off the earth; and Noah turneth aside the covering of the ark, {the door} and looketh, and lo, the face of the ground hath been dried.
[SUP]14 [/SUP] And in the second month, in the seven and twentieth day of the month, the earth hath become dry.

dc - you are neither being polite or truthful. He believes the promises are for those who have faith in the
present and we want and need to follow.

You interpret this to mean he keeps himself saved, when we all know it is Christ in communion that
keeps us in fellowship.

You always slant things when applied to you and your friends and differently when applied to others.
This is hypocrisy and delusional. You call me names, yet your justification is marginal.
I know you too well, and closer we come the more you struggle. Truth works like this, forcing people
Into making enemies, provoking over nothing to defend the indefensible. It is just a kind of
sectarianism, probably like your politics.

Those who like labels tend to do this in lots of areas in their life, but it will always fail.

You hate truthful confrontation.
I look in the mirror all the time, but I know the image in your head you are referring to.
Until you can see people in love grace and truth you will stay blind.

And in your book I am not the only person, so you are lying again.
You hate this debate because you have no answer. Like your friends, that is why you shut
down. God purchased His people to be lights in the world, not partial disasters with no
future.

If you cannot win then you need to change, or Christ does not mean what you claim.

You mean the fella that says the cross is not enough; 1 Corinthians 1:18, that the imputed righteousness of Christ is a neat little trick that doesn't work; Romans 3:21-22, and being secure in Christ is an idol; John 10:28, who also goes about calling others lost, liars, and workers of iniquity doesn't engage in meaningful dialog?

Tell me you're just joshin'!

Many do walk away from God, BUT many also go back to Him eventually. Does leaving God temporarily mean that they aren't saved anymore, or even never were saved to begin with?? Even if they leave Him forever, He still knows their hearts and their reason(s) for leaving.. I believe in a Shepherd who welcomes us back into His fold. :) Not one who says, "sorry, you mucked up, you had your chance and blew it"..

Just my simple opinion.

I remember when the arguments raged and they lost.
They hated the fact the argument could show they got it wrong and why.

The problem is starting from their assumptions they return to the same errors.
But this is how emotions rule us, because at crucial points we agree one way and
not another. So if your followers just reject a preacher before he has made his points,
you can self censor a lot.

This is what they do all the time and it just closes things down.
Because I come at things from so many angles, the only way of coping is disengage
or change.

Jesus calls us like this. Either die to self and live to Christ and His word or follow
your dreams. In Christ we gain the dreams of the Lord which are much better, Amen.

The earth being flat is as true as you claiming the cross of Christ is not enough. Forget flat earthers, you have way more to worry about.
p4t - I have to laugh. Many here have talked they are not religious, but change the way you
express the same truth and they go nuts. We are told often to learn different ways of expressing
Christ, but believers then object. Maybe the church is not as saved as some would love to believe.

And worry about what you have to share!!!!! You lost me in your first tirades......God bless you, you
need it.

Peter, the only thing I've ever seen Dcon "preach", is the fact that we are NOT saved by works. That we ARE saved by grace through faith and belief. It's silly to think that our works will keep us saved, or get us a free ticket to heaven. Works have zero to do with maintaining salvation. It's like trying to reverse the aging process--no matter how hard you try, it doesn't produce favorable results.. LOL

Blue - I do not know, I can but love and witness. If a person grows to rebel and hate God,
I cannot hold out hope for them unless they return to love and grace. Why should we do other?

If God is gracious to them, Amen, if not, God is still just. I am not the King only a witness to Him.

Jesus' power must not have been enough to save all the sinners in the world.. And His death must not have been powerful enough to pick up our cross(es) and follow Him. :/

According to that logic, Jesus must have been one weak fellow despite being all-powerful and immortal. Anyone who doesn't believe that His death on the cross wasn't enough to save them, is sadly deluding themselves and putting their salvation and eternal life at risk.. :( JMO
