Apparently, a poster can change the post of another poster, *fixing it for them*. I see no "mod" title on that poster either.

That has made me suspect that means elite posters ( mayhap paying members only ) can change their own posts past the editing time that can make me think I misread them, playing games with me in not being honest.

When reading a thread, it can tell me sometimes what number of members & guests are watching or reading that thread but it does not list every member's name every time. It is like some members can come in here hidden from sight.

All I know is I have a friend listed that I do no remember adding "Vangelina" just recently. But I ignored it.

AND someone can close the window on me while I am in Christian chat message forums. That has happened more than once.

I have changed the password, but I doubt that had solved the problem.

I suggests that administrator list whom the mods are and what paying members can as well as can't do. As it is, I have just cause to be paranoid to think this site is the problem and not something else like a hacker outside this forum ( which would not surprise me either ).

The majority of the mods here are chat room mods. Oncefallen is pretty much the only forum mod that I ever see here in the forums, with the rare exception of Prodigal and CS1..

People have gotten hacked on here before, in fact I think Blain got hacked a couple years ago.

If you don't want someone on your friend's list, just uncheck the check box next to their name. Likewise, if you don't want to accept a friend request, just click the "reject" button.

What you're suggesting is that someone joins the site, pays and can now, as a new user, edit others posts. Does that really sound feasible?

How do you know their names aren't showing? And, yes, it is a long time feature if the site to be able to appear off line. Nothing new or secret about it. Doesn't even require paying or being a mod. Anyone can do it. It has been like throat since I joined in 2011, and no doubt much longer.

Maybe you forgot you added them. Or did it accidentally. That seems far more reasonable than elite CC users adding friends to your list for you. What would be the point in that?

Chat room closes on its own? Have you considered a technical glitch? Flash crashing? Another much more reasonable reaction than the CC Illuminati.

The mods and admins ARE listed. Have been for years.

The only thing I can find in your entire statement that's true is that there is no posted list of gains to be had by paying. Though I have heard it shares by admins before. Never was the ability to change others posts or edit past the 5 min mark one of them.

First, NO ONE other than site staff can edit a post after the five minute edit time is expired. When one of us do edit a post a fine print note automatically is added to the post showing date, time, and who edited the post.

Second, all users have always been able to modify quoted posts (such as I have done in this post) in order to show only the portion of the post they are responding to, or occasionally change a word or to for the purpose of humor (usually responded to with "fixed it for ya"). However, that in no way changes the text of the original post.

As Ugly stated, all users have always been able to browse the forums while showing as "offline". "Invisible mode" is in your profile general settings.

No one (not even Admin) can delete or add to your friends list or ignore list although I would kill to have the ability to add persons to another users ignore list since some people can't seem to stop henpecking specific other users.

Well, CS1 has deleted posts of mine attesting to the world having a supernatural tongue before Pentecost came along with God's gift of tongues of other men's lips to speak unto the people whereas the world's supernatural tongue was just vain & profane babbling nonsense which is why it can never be interpreted. He did not like that information and I reckon he deemed it as something worthy of deleting until he finally let it go, and just post that he disagrees with it as some others do. ( Which he should have done in the first place instead of deleting the thread/post or whatever )

But at least it is out there for those who disagree with me as it is open for them to prove me wrong that there is no supernatural tongue that had existed before Pentecost that was just vain & profane babbling nonsense which they have not done yet. They seem to deny Isaiah 8:19 as the Biblical source of that supernatural tongue as it was in the occult before Pentecost, only because they want to believe the kind of tongue they have is of God even though it comes with no interpretation.

Not sure why the hacker added Vangelina to my Friend's list; I have yet to ask her if she even sent that request, or the hacker had asked her and whatever, but it had to happen when I was not online... I am going to leave her on the Friend's list, just in case that hacker may not like it and do something worse while I am in here.

CS1 finally admitted to deleting my post and threads about a certain information regarding a supernatural tongue that had existed in the world that was just vain & profane babbling nonsense before Pentecost came with the real God's gift of tongues of other men's lips to speak unto the people. Biblical evidence for it is in Isaiah 8:19 but that was not enough so I had to go to other sites, ( apparently heretical in regards to some Biblical teaching ) for information from secular sources to prove that it did exists since they were not accepting Isaiah 8:19 as testifying to that kind of tongue existing before Pentecost. Anyway, he finally allowed the post/thread to remain for believers to read it and for some to disagree with it as he does which is what he should have done in the first place.

You ask the question as if doubting what I am seeing and then you acknowledge it? If it says 2 members and 3 guests.. but it only lists my name to that thread you are reading, then that is how I am seeing it in that way. If it is an assumption, I have not seen any evidence to the contrary since I have seen five members accounted for, giving five member's names reading that thread including mine if I was to give a benefit of the doubt that it only list a certain number of member's names reading that thread.

Well, thank you for sharing, but as it is, there is a "problem" and so it has to be on my end; the computer and thus the hacker when they, or he or she in PMS have been closing my window.

If that has always been the rule, then CS1 needs to be reminded. If it is a new rule, then hopefully he is aware of it by now. He has deleted without giving me any reasons for it until he came out explaining why he was deleting the post that he did not like my reporting tongues as vain & profane babbling nonsense had been in the world before Pentecost came along with the real God's gift of tongues of other men's lips to speak unto the people. Since Isaiah 8:19 was not enough for tongue speakers to beware and discern again that tongue which they are assuming was the Holy Spirit praying back to God for why it was not coming with interpretation.

At least now that challenge is out there and why I say any tongue gained by seeking to receive the Holy Spirit apart from salvation, is not of Him for why it is not coming with interpretation just as it was not the Holy Spirit they were receiving apart from salvation. Paul rebuke such notion in 2 Thessalonians 2;13-15 as to when we had received the sanctification of the Spirit & the belief of the truth which was at the calling of the gospel and no other.

preacher4truth... I think it was him.. said he had fixed a post for someone. Is he a mod? I have et to check the Quick Link after having been informed by Ugly about where to find the mod names to the Staff list on site. The way the conversation went afterwards, the poster's post that was changed did not act like he had asked him to do that, but wondered what was offensive about his post that needed a fix.

Well, then it has to be my own personal female hacker. That clears things up. If CS1 had been respectful in the beginning, I would have had my suspicions lead me away from Christian chat for sure.

Were they removed as mods? I did not meant for that to happen. Or am I not seeing the whole list? There is no page 2 at the bottom of that web page I am viewing.

And do I understand this correctly? No mods in Bible Discussion forums or is that what is meant by Super Mods that they cover everything else?

I stopped going into the chat rooms years ago when I discovered that Adobe Flash is spyware. I removed it from my computer, and have not put it back on since...

But, I remember having many sudden crashes that somehow killed the browser.

It was very annoying.

as i illustrated, "i fixed it for you" in forum-speak is a common thing said when a person quotes another person, and ((without intent to deceive)) edits their quote in order to make it say what that person thinks the first person should have said.

there's really no social faux pas here.

what would be wrong behavior would be to edit a quotation from another user, making it say something that it did not originally say, without clearly indicating what they have done -- that would be putting words in someone's mouth that they never said.

editing a quote for clarity - simply deleting the parts of it that aren't relevant to your reply, or bolding, underlining, coloring or otherwise highlighting specific parts you want to address, is not in any way mischief either.

a line is crossed when you effectively bring false witness against your brother by making it look like he said something he didn't say -- but what i did to Lady Blue above isn't crossing that line, because i made it clear what i was doing, by common convention - there's no way a person should reasonably assume that she had actually said CS1 is cool & froody; it's obvious that i did that.

i looked in the "view site leaders" page via "quick links" as someone suggested, and don't see him listed there either. that must not be a complete list - because i then searched for posts by him, and sure enough:
