LOL...I may be 100 yrs old too then...I remember very well and fondly listening to my dad play it in our living room on a 6ft long, 4ft tall wooden stereo that played records and 8 tracks...lol

My dad is 64 and always played that type of music. He likes old rock 50's, 60's, and bands like CCR, Percy Sledge and others... So I guess that's my roots. I always got teased in high school for blasting that stuff in my car....LOL:)

my dad would be 84 this year, had he lived. he had really eclectic taste in music, and had about a dozen of this guy's albums. also lots of Nat King Cole, and The Andrews Sisters (lol), but the Motown i got from my Michigan cousins.
your dad has good musical taste! :)

Matt Maher - Lord, I need You

Lord, I come, I confess
Bowing here I find my rest
Without You I fall apart
You're the One that guides my heart

Lord, I need You, oh, I need You
Every hour I need You
My one defense, my righteousness
Oh God, how I need You

Where sin runs deep
Your grace is more
Where grace is found is where You are
And where You are, Lord, I am free
Holiness is Christ in me

Lord, I need You, oh, I need You
Every hour I need You
My one defense, my righteousness
Oh God, how I need You

To teach my song to rise to You
When temptation comes my way
When I cannot stand I'll fall on You
Jesus, You're my hope and stay

Lord, I need You, oh, I need You
Every hour I need You
My one defense, my righteousness
Oh God, how I need You

You're my one defense, my righteousness
Oh God, how I need You
My one defense, my righteousness
Oh God, how I need You

I have not got enough time to scroll through every answer to see if this song has been posted before, but this is a wonderful song by Todd Rundgren that just sums up how I feel about our Lord.

I just believe the words in this song reflect how our lord Jesus felt. Please let me say what I believe to be true. Our father sent his son as a human to experience being a human being and all of our frailties and weaknesses he shared to experience that. Jesus was the Lord's incarnation of the beings he created. These words describe how our Lord Jesus must have felt on this earth, his human feelings and his temptations and ultimately how he overcame these things for the love of his father. Sorry if that sounds strange but it is what I believe the reason Lord Jesus was sent down among us. God bless you all XXX

Praise His Name :)
