Exactly....NO man can understand the word of God, much less apply it spiritually until one has BEEN born AGAIN....at which time they can now compare spiritual with spiritual and spiritually discern and apply the word.....ANY obedience and or work is the direct result of the salvation and faith ONE already possesses in CHRIST........they constantly put the cart before the ox by their law abiding, working for dogma......
Obviously........more than a handful on here.....they also like to embellish faith, push self, their own works and power over JESUS and his work and power, they like to devalue the work, power and promises of JESUS while making him into a weak, inept liar that needs assistance, help and or has no power to keep his word.....makes me sick and fires me up at the same time.....
Your salvation is between you and God. Only he who loves all can make you free to love and follow him. Jesus says; If any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. He that rejects me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judges him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day. Christians are those that through faith love and follow Jesus because we are in him and he in us. The Holy Spirit is only given to those who believe his Word and obey him. He that says he knows him and does not keep his commandments is a liar and the truth is not in him...... Do you believe God's Word?
Phil36 replied: Above is a bad error, you make obedience a prerequisite for salvation. Yet I can't see how men and women who are spiritually dead and in darkness can obey the Law. Only Jesus could obey the law fully.

FAITH saves.....end of story....and yet saved men fail, sin and do not always obey.....!
Was Aaron a man of faith?
DID he help make the golden calf and then lie about it?
Faith saves....end of story....and yet saved men fail, sin and do not always obey!
Was Jonah a man of faith?
Did Jonah go the first time he was told to go?
FAITH saves...end of story...yet saved men will fail, sin and not always obey!
Was David a man of faith?
Did David commit murder and adultery?
FAITH saves....end of story...yet saved men will fail, sin and not always OBEY!

OK so to obey one cant have a single sin. See this is silly, did these men obey in many matters for years and ytears and years? Did they continually seek the face of YHWH? Did they continually walk in His path? Yet you look at a single instance to justify this nonsense..
Hebrews 11:6, “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to Yah has to believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who earnestly seek Him.”
Hebrews 5:9, “And having been perfected, He became the Causer of everlasting salvation to all those obeying Him.”
John 3:36, “He who believes in the Son possesses everlasting life, but he who does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of Yah remains on him.”

Actually the emphasis is correct God only gives the Holy Spirit to those that obey him. Only those that obey him are Born again. They are Born again because of their faith in his Word and are now free to love and follow him who loves all.... He that says he knows him and keep not his commandments is a liar and the truth is not in him

What is the flesh opposed to? Following YHWH's Law? Rejecting YHWH's Law?

What is the flesh opposed to? Following YHWH's Law? Rejecting YHWH's Law?
