...the reason why isn't important. The fire alarm goes off. You run for the exit. As you run down this hallway, you hear a child screaming from behind a door. You throw open the door and find a five-year-old child crying for help.

They're in one corner of the room. In the other corner, you spot a frozen container labeled '1000 Viable Human Embryos.' The smoke is rising. You start to choke. You know you can grab one or the other, but not both before you succumb to smoke inhalation and die, saving no one.

Which do you grab?

Loophole answer: What if the room's like this?

Hey, you didn't specify the area of that room...so I can take both now!!!

Without Loophole: The toddler, because:

- Da heck am I supposed to do with the eggs afterwards, huh? I obviously can't inseminate or do anything with them...so they probably won't survive either way... :/
- The label on the box may be wrong. I don't wanna risk my life for a box full of nothing.

Do you walk to work or carry your lunch?

Kind of old to be playing trick questions to prove your hatred for God, aren't you?

That was a very well thought out answer!

Gotta agree with Depleted on this one, this is a bait and judge type question because either choice would be a choice to save a life and lose a life, not something a christian would ask anyone, because to talk about life and death so eagerly is not something God would have someone do.

I take your criticism here. It's an unfair choice.

I'd love love the bravery of a straight answer though. Sometimes life throws these unfair choices.

Why am I not surprised another person with an "unsure" spiritual status asking a casual question concerning something serious yet pose the question as if it were a mere riddle or joke.

The answer is obvious, the child because the embryo's may never be implanted and until they are, they aren't "life".

There you go I took the bait - happy?

Who do you think your kidding?
I've been to a Non believer site and know how non believers like these kind of bait and judge questions so they can get their kicks by calling someone sick or a murderer, this may not be the case with you but no good comes from such questions.

This exercise is not to call someone sick or murderer., it's not really about the choice

it's recognising that every single person will save the little girl

And that shows that living human life is more important than potential embryonic life

it doesn't mean that potential embryonic life isn't important by the way ..

If they're frozen, they are NOT "developing".. That only happens after insemination, and even then there's no guarantee..

You'd leave 1000 developing human embryos to burn?

Haha! Yep you got me there :)

Although I guess you could apply
that logic to an actual fetus - no guarantee ..

So you really thought that making a life or death situation concerning children and unborn potential babies question on a christian site for a riddle to others was really a good idea,
especially considering that you are new to the forums for a good first impression!?
not smart in my opinion.
