oh

so according to Pastor David, folks are all about minimizing what God has magnified...ie (and I quote) the authority of the Apostle Paul

they walk among us

fade off while playing the music from the outer limits.......

joking aside, this guy is a member of 'Children of God as Ambassadors for Christ in the Ministry of Reconciliation'

never heard of them

I prefer listening to tried and true Pastors, teachers and Christians

to be sure, there is some 'teacher' out there in web world for any thing any one wants to believe. it's there

which is why accountability is a major concern for these people who seem to be on the outer fringes of what is acceptable biblical doctrine

I do agree with what you said about "spiritual Israyl" But He did heal and speak with gentiles and also He told His disciples;
Thank you for your reply....and I stand corrected.

But didn't Jesus also say He was only sent to the lost sheep of Israel and told His Disciples not to go to the gentiles ?
Yet it seems that He did the very opposite another time....how do we unite these two events and make them true ? I hope you can explain !

this is the mystery that was revealed to Paul

the mystery is the church...Gentiles and Jews being one in Christ

This is a great graeat question, one of those hard questions that is frowned upon by those who seek comfort ver turh, but we know thetruth sets us free! So here goes! OK so it does seem to be a contradiction at first but when considered I think it can be cleared up;

First there were more than 12 disciples;

Luke 10:1, "And after this the Master appointed seventy others, and sent them two by two ahead of Him into every city and place where He Himself was about to go."

Disciples sent out before Sacrifice/Resurrection:

Matthew 10:5, "יהושע sent these twelve out, having commanded them, saying, “Do not go into the way of the nations, and do not enter a city of the Shomeronim,"6, "but rather go to the lost sheep of the house of Yisra’ĕl."7, "“And as you go, proclaim, saying, ‘The reign of the heavens has drawn near.’"8, "“Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. You have received without paying, give without being paid."9, "“Do not acquire gold or silver or copper for your money-belts,"10, "or a bag for the journey, or two undergarments, or sandals, or staffs, for the worker is worthy of his food."11, "“And into whatever city or village you enter, ask who is worthy in it, and stay there until you leave."12, "“And as you enter into a house, greet it."13, "“And if the house is worthy, let your peace come upon it. But if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you."14, "“And whoever does not receive you nor hear your words, when you leave that house or city, shake off the dust from your feet."

Disciples sent out after Sacrifice/Resurrection:

Matthew 28:18-20, “And יהושע came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make taught ones of all the nations, immersing them in the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Set-apart Spirit, and make taught ones of all the nations, immersing them in the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Set-apart Spirit.”"28:20, "teaching them to guard all that I have commanded you. And see, I am with you always, until the end of the age.” Awmĕin."

nations” is word #G1484 ἔθνος ethnos (eth'-nos) n., 1. a race (as of the same habit), i.e. a tribe., 2. (specially) a foreign (non-Jewish) one, Gentiles., 3. (usually, by implication) pagan., [probably from G1486], KJV: Gentile, heathen, nation, people , Root(s): G1486

When He was on Earth in the flesh He focused mainly on Hebrews/Jews, but right before His ascention He told them to teach the Gentiles what He had tought them.

Also....What about what Yahshua/Jesus said in the book of Revelation?

Honestly I quit watching it because his pre disposition and he saida few other things that basically he is saying puttign Yahshua's words above Paul's is wrong, but he is putting Paul's words above Yahshua.

A few things come to mind.

1. What about Yahshua's words in Revelation? They are the final message to man written Scriptually. and in Revelation many of those those are directly Yahshua's words, Paul, Peter, James, John (outside Revand Gospel of John) they are speaking with the Spirit on them, yet these men are imperfect, truly men of Yah, but imperfect, seemingly splitting hairs right? Hold that thought for reason 2.

2. There is only one, that is one sent one that we must hear and obey, and people will say the entire council of Yah, to this I agree, however, to put anyones words equal with YHWH's or Yahshua's is to disregard YHWH's words, for He said Yahshua is THE sent one we must hear and obey. YHWH Himself put Yahshua's words above all other prophets, disciples and any other man of Yah. This is fact. and im not saying you will accuse me of not taking the whole council of Yah, but I wish to defend myself and say, I dont know everything but I think my knowledge of Scripture shows I read, study and applyall Scripture.

OK here is YHWH's words on the one we must hear and obey, and Yahshua saying the same;

John/Yahanan 5:46-47, "For had you believed Mosheh, you would have believed Me, for he wrote about Me*. But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe My words?"

Deuteronomy 18:18-19, "I (YHWH) will raise up for them a Prophet (Yahshua/Jesus) like you from among their brothers, and I will put My words in His mouth, and He will tell them everything I command Him. And when a flood came, the stream burst against that house, but was unable to shake it, for it was founded on the rock. There are many "red letter" Christians today that exalt what the Lord gave to the nation of Israel instead of what the Lord gave to the Gentiles through the Apostle Paul.

I told you guys that I don't like the way pastor David refers to people who interpret Scripture differently from him.

I know many Christians who say that whenever Paul differs from Jesus, they stick with Jesus. Pastor David says that Paul's teachings are not his -- they are from Jesus --, so if we reject Paul we are actually rejecting Jesus. So, according to pastor David, whenever Paul differs from Jesus we must choose Paul, because his teachings were revealed to him by Jesus after the cross.

1. If they teach the same then one could listen to Yahshua and be just fine. If they don't threre is an issue.

2. To say that Yahshua's message is incomplete is to say that the sent one we must hear and obey didn't have the whole message, which makes no sense.

3. Paul is the only writer in Scripture singled out as hardto understand and people twist as they do other Scripture to their own destruction. It is no wonder that people that say Paul overrides others/Yahshua have odd doctrines.

2 Peter/Kepha 3:15-17, "And count the patience of our Lord as salvation, just as our beloved brother Paul also wrote to you according to the wisdom given him, as he does in all his letters when he speaks in them of these matters. There are some things in them that are hard to understand, which the ignorant and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do the other Scriptures. You therefore, beloved, knowing this beforehand, take care that you are not carried away with the error of lawless people and lose your own stability."

many say Paul taught not to obey the Law of Yah, yet he said this;

Acts 24:14, "But I confess this to you, that after the way which they call heresy, so I worship the Father of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the Law and in the Prophets."

Romans 7:25, "Thanks be to YHWH, I have deliverance through Yahshua Messiah our King! So then, with this same mind, I myself serve the Law of YHWH, while in the flesh that is yet subject to the law of sin."

Acts 21:24, "Take them, and be purified with them, and pay their expenses so that they may shave their heads. Then everyone will know that those things they were informed about you (forsaking the Law), were lies, and that you, yourself, walk orderly, and keep the Law."

1 Corinthians 7:19, "For neither circumcision counts for anything nor uncircumcision, but keeping the commandments of Yah?"

Romans 3:28, "For we maintain that a person is justified by faith apart from the works of the Law."

Romans 3:31, "Are we then doing away with the Law through the faith? By no means! Rather, we establish the Law!"

Romans 6:1-2, "What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound? By no means! How can we who died to sin still live in it?"

Romans 7:7, Shall we therefore say that the Law is sin? No! By no means! But to the contrary, I did not know sin; transgression of the Law, except through the Law, for I did not know lust, unless the Law had said: Do not covet."

Romans 7:12, "Therefore the Law is holy, and the commandments are holy, and just, and righteous."

Ephesians 6:2-3, "Honor your father and mother; which is the first commandment with a promise: That it may be well with you, and you may live long on the earth."

so Ithink the biggest issue is with people twisting his words, my remedy is establish it in the mouth of 2 or 3 witnsses, a "OT" Law, also to filter all Scripture through the mouth of YHWH and Yahshua.

More opinions about the subject.

In the following site you will see more "false teachers" saying that some of the Lord's teachings do not apply directly to Gentiles: Jesus or Paul?

Here is a portion of the text:

The purpose of this study is to show how Paul, being the apostle to the Gentiles, opened up further spiritual truth than Jesus taught while being under the law as a Jew in Israel. Some of our Lord's teachings were Jewish in nature and do not apply directly to Gentiles living outside the commonwealth of Israel and after the time of reformation.

Some of our Lord's teachings were Jewish in nature and do not apply directly to Gentiles living outside the commonwealth of Israel and after the time of reformation.
So here are some quotes from that site;

"It is to Paul that we must chiefly look for our guidance in New Testament worship for Gentiles after the time of reformation."

Yet Yahshua says;

John/Yahanan 12:48, "He who rejects Me, and does not follow My words has One Who judges him. The word that I have spoken, the same will be used to judge him in the last day."

Mat 24:35, “Heaven and earth may pass away, but My teachings will not pass away.”

John/Yahanan 14:26, "But the Comforter; the Holy Spirit which YHWH will send in My Name will teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatever I (Yahshua/Jesus) have said to you."

John/Yahanan 6:63, "It is the Spirit that gives life; the flesh is useless. The words (Instructions) that I (Yahshua/Jesus) speak to you, they are Spirit, and they are life everlasting."

"CIRCUMCISION (Luke 2:21)If we were to follow our Lord's life exactly, we would need to be circumcised. Yet Paul would not circumcise Titus (Gal 2:3-5) and condemned its religious requirement "

They are picking and choosing to "validate" their doctrine, Paul had Timothy circumcised;

Acts 16:1-3, “1 Paul came also to Derbe and to Lystra. And a disciple was there, named Timothy, the son of a Jewish woman who was a believer, but his father was a Greek, 2 and he was well spoken of by the brethren who were in Lystra and Iconium. 3 Paul wanted this man to go with him; and he took him and circumcised him because of the Jews who were in those parts, for they all knew that his father was a Greek.”

"THE PHARISEES (Matthew 23:1-3)Jesus taught obedience to the scribes and Pharisees, yet Paul counted his education as a Pharisee to be a total loss and but dung (Phil 3:4-8)"

They are twisting Scripture here when they state that with no explantion, any translations shows dont do as they do, they fail to mention this to suppoert their view.

It applies to all folowers of Messiah, but it is misunderstodd due to every greek text not properly coveying what was said, howver there is a hebrew version of the Gospel of Matt;

New International Version - Mat 23:2-3, "The teachers of the law and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat. So you must be careful to do everything they tell you. But do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they preach."

King James Bible - Mat 23:2-3, "Saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat: All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not."

Shem Tob's Hebrew Mattithyah - Mat 23:2-3, "The Pharisees and Sages sit upon the seat of Mosheh. Therefore, all that he (Mosheh) says to you, diligently do, but according to their takanot (reforms) and thier ma'asim (precedents) do not do, because they talk (Torah) but they do not do."

Takanot: rabbinical reforms or enactments that (falsely) "change or add" to YHWH's Law.

Ma'asim: acts or deeds that serve as precedents for rabbinic law.

Both Takanot and Ma'asim are laws of the Talmud. The Savior said this to the Pharisees;

John 7:16-19, "Yahshua answered, them, and said: My doctrine is not Mine, but His Who sent Me. If any man will do His will, he will know about this teaching, whether it comes from YHWH, or whether I am speaking of My own authority. He who speaks on his own seeks his own glory; but He Who seeks the glory of the One Who sent Him, He is true, and no unrighteousness is in Him. Was not the Law given to you through Mosheh? And yet none of you keep the Law! Why do you seek to kill Me?"

Mat 15:7-9, "Hypocrites! Well did Isayah (29:13-14)* prophesy of you, saying: These people draw near to Me with their mouth and honor Me with their lips, but have removed their hearts far from Me. But in vain they do worship Me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men."
I could go through and most likely refute all their points, but Ill take the low hanging fruit..

'HOLY SPIRIT (John 7:39) From the beginning, John the Baptist announced our Lord's baptism with the Holy Ghost (Matt 3:1-12). Yet this dispensing of the Holy Spirit did not occur until Pentecost "

Yet the Holy Spirit of YHWH was around since the Old Testament;

Genesis/Bereshith 6:3, "And יהוה said, “My Spirit shall not strive with man forever in his going astray. He is flesh, and his days shall be one hundred and twenty years.”

Its in the OT much more than this but this is sufficent.

So what I see is they are trying to pit Paul against Yahshua and raise Paul's teachings above Yahshua/Jesus, pure error.

John/Yahanan 14:26, "But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you."

that doctrine was put in place that the "pope" sits as "vicar of christ" (in place of Christ)

just another attempt to put a man in between the sheep and the Shepherd...

John/Yahanan 10:16, "And I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I must bring them also, and they will listen to My voice. So there will be one flock, one Shepherd (4166 - poimén)."

For these causes the Jews caught me in the temple, and went about to kill me.

Just as the Mainstream God of Abraham preachers of that time desired to kill Jesus for teaching the exact same thing.

Very good discussion, Peter said preachers would twist Paul's letters and it surely seems they have.

what do you find right about it? (pastor David's video)
Pastor David says that people who don't realize that some teachings were for the Jews only, see some contradictions between Jesus and Paul, and consequently will take Jesus' teachings above Paul's.

Pastor David says Paul's teachings are actually Jesus' teachings for the dispensation of grace which started after the resurrection.

I am saying the same thing over and over and over again because you're asking for it.

Pauls teachings are very hard to understand for Judaizers and legalists.

Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

What does this mean? Nothing to Judaizers and legalists. But to Christians Paul expounds...

Galatians 3:23-25

23 But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.
24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.

It should make perfect sense. Except this is hidden to those who do not have faith.

2 Corinthians 3:14-16

14 But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ.
15 But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart.
16 Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away.

Galatians 3:11-12

11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.
12 And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them.

So you either pit Paul against the Lord Jesus, as legalists and Judaizers do, or you understand what the role of the law was and why it is disannulled for the weakness and unprofitableness that it provided compared to what we receive in Christ.

In other words, without the Lord Jesus Christ we can do nothing.
