What is stunning to me, is for you to believe a brother could be something else
entirely is too much to grasp.

And the reason being, it would shatter some loyalties and beliefs that you really
do know who you are talking to.

Pastors go astray, friends betray friends, wives and husbands commit adultery.

So we are to be as wise as serpents and as innocent as doves.

What I have learnt from interactions like this, when things are proven true, people
say, we knew all along, and dismiss it as if it never was an issue.

So God bless you, because I know the score, and know who I am dealing with.
I wish I was a child in someways, it would not involve such contorted individuals and
serious issues.

But the Lord is teaching me how to see the truth and just proclaim it. Glory to His
name.

And what the sting really is, when the truth hurts, that is then deemed to be hurting ones
neighbour, not exposing sin and bringing the wisdom of God to bear so repentance and confession
can happen.

John the Baptist died because he preached against Herods sin. In your mind he should have kept
quiet, not exactly the Kingdom you have an allegiance to.
It's not "stunning" to me it is written of that many shall come in Jesus's name as lambs of his flock but be as ravenous wolves.

My friend, a wolf comes to destroy, but the sheep to build people up.

Do you know how much scripture is dedicated to encourage us to love and good works?
At least 50% of it.

So everyone who is encouraging people to praise God and Jesus and push on to righteousness,
love and purity is speaking from God. It is His heart and passion.

Somehow you have got turned around into a condemning group, who are happy to attack and
destroy based on things of the faith.

So I encourage you my friend, believe in Christ and walk in His ways, in humbleness, holiness and
a pure heart. And there we will all find fellowship, one with another and with God.

Amen.

Peter, in my nearly 4 years here, I must say that this is the lowest blow I've seen ANYONE here ever give. :/

Sounds like a idol has fallen from the sky for you.
Is it the truth hurts, or you hope for things that are not real?

Already have been always will for I am not ashamed of him and can actually "admit my sins" and "see that I sin" yet knowing this I serve Jesus without a pride in myself nor a lieing to myself, your actions have found you out,if you want to lie some more to yourself so be it,as for those who "Actually believe in Jesus and trust him" we shall tort such evil every time.

Dcon is not an idol to me, or anyone else here for that matter. Besides there IS more than one David Dixon on Twitter. I checked. And even if that IS him on Twitter, his post there has no reason to be put on here by you.. You only did that to sling mud on someone's name.. How unChrist-like.. I wouldn't blame Dcon if he goes and digs up some dirt on you somewhere. I'm sorry but I do hope you're banned for doing this..

I do not think Dcon has to do that, because to me it looks like PeterJens just did it to himself. I agree that is the absolute LOWEST, most VILE PERSONAL INSULT that I have ever seen here too. I reported two of his posts today. By their Fruit we shall know them.

Stones, just hit the F5 key. That refreshes the page you're viewing and that may restore your 'Like' buttons. It does on my computer in Chrome.

On my computer, yes I can do that. That was on my ipad. No f5 key. It has to be something on the website.

Just for clarification. Peter didn't post the smut post. It was removed. Peter just honed in on it in attack.

I did not know that. Will have to go back for that would be a gross violation for a mod to remove something and a member repost it.

The onslaught of Peter is uncalled for.

Go talk with DC establish what the Truth is and support Him.

Love, Truth and forgiveness is Victory in Christ through our GOD.

Time to exercise this and for all any of us know it may be a turning point for all of us to unite in Christ for GOD’s Glory and ever Praise.

It is irrelevant whether the quote is from Dcon or not. I have done and said many disgusting things as a Christian. Sadly most have. I am not proud of it, but I do apologize for the offense and say I'm sorry.

What IS RELEVANT is that you deliberately sought out damaging information against someone for the purpose of hurting him.

Troubling that you are not being led to see your offense by the Holy Spirit to make amends.

AND GUESS HOW LONG THAT TAKES? A LIFE TIME, Thus as Dr. MacArthur said, a Christian sins LESS and LESS, and Less as he matures spiritually.
Oh my dear VCO...
We can kill the flesh-old man instantly, by the means illustrated by Paul in Romans 6:3-6 and Col 2:12.
Water baptism is our "immersion" into Christ's death...our own death with Him.
But it doesn't stop there, as we are buried with Jesus and then raised with Christ to walk in newness of life.

YOUR WAY FALSELY ASSUMES ONE TIME AND ALL SIN IS GONE.
As Peter wrote..."baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins."
The product of remission is a sin free man.
If your prior repentance from sin was true-real, there is nothing on earth mightier than God that can force you back into the darkness.

SO HOW COME WE ARE TOLD TO TAKE UP THE CROSS DAILY?
Good question...
When Jesus spoke these words, He was alluding to the "crucifying of the flesh".
Since His resurrection, we now can take part in that final crucifixion, killing the old man and being reborn of God's seed.
A slightly different take on it is written of by Paul in Rom 8:13 and Col 3:5....
"For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live"
"Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:"
I read "mortify" as "keep dead".
God's Comforter will help us stay in the light, Spirit, if we continue to obey Him.

Luke 9:23 (ASV)
[SUP]23 [/SUP] And he said unto all, If any man would come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
The only way that would be necessary is if the SIN NATURE REMAINS IN THE BODY UNTIL IT DIES.

You are correct...in this relationship between pre-resurrection men and God.
But post-resurrection men can, no, must kill the old man in order to be reborn.

Repent you are following a FALSE GOSPEL
I appreciate your concern, but the ways of righteousness and the manifestations of Jesus' conquest of sin are in no wise "bad news".

What church do you go to?
Whats it called?
Does it have a website?
If so can you post a link. I would be interested to have a look.
The church I belong to is called "The Church by Christ Jesus (Eph 3:21)"
We don't have a web site though.

Not at all, if you are referring to the "works" of the law.
That was the subject of Paul's writings.
Folks were "suggesting" that circumcision was necessary for salvation.
That, and dietary laws and hundreds of other things do not make you salvageable.

Those who infer that obedience to God is part of this "works" anathema, and unnecessary, are in error
Led by Holy Spirit is more accurate now since we are part of the Body of Christ. Not a religious institution, but a living entity. I hope that word fits. Just came to me. Anyhow, by a new and living way. :)

Amen! Glory be to God!

Here's what i learned:

Not by works( NOT VOID OF WORKS) but by grace thru FAITH.(eph 2:8-9)
Justified by works and NOT BY FAITH ALONE.(james 2:24)
Faith that Worketh in Love.(gal 5:6)
Faith and Action Working TOGETHER.(james 2:22)

Salvation is by GRACE through FAITH and NOT BY WORKS(of ourselves).(#1)

It is NOT BY FAITH ALONE(#2)but it WORKS in LOVE(#3)thus FAITH & LOVE(works of obedience(romans 1:5) manifested in ACTION and in TRUTH)(1john 3:16-18)are working TOGETHER.(#4)

2 John 1:6 AND THIS IS LOVE: THAT WE WALK IN OBEDIENCE TO HIS COMMANDS. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you WALK IN LOVE.

THE FIRST PHASE OF SALVATION IS TO BELIEVE IN THE ONE THAT GOD HAS SENT AND IN HIS WORD OF TRUTH, THE GOSPEL OF OUR SALVATION.
(john 6:28-29, eph 1:13,romans 10:8-17).
THROUGH THIS FAITH WE WILL RECEIVE THE PROMISED HOLY SPIRIT(the Helper/Counsellor)(gal 3:14, john 14:16-17)

John 6:28-29 Then they asked him, “What must we do to do the works God requires?” Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.”

THE SECOND PHASE IS THE WORKING OUT OF THAT SALVATION AND REMAINING/CONTINUING IN THE FAITH TO THE END THROUGH OBEDIENCE TO GOD’S WILL AND COMMANDMENTS, DOING GOOD WORKS. WALKING AS JESUS DID AND BEING A PART OF THE BODY OF CHRIST WHO DOES THE WORKS BEING LED BY THE SPIRIT OF CHRIST WHO IS THE HEAD.

Ephesians 5:23 For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, HIS BODY OF WHICH HE IS THE SAVIOR.

1 Corinthians 12:28 And in the church God has appointed first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then workers of miracles, also those having gifts of healing, those able to help others, those with gifts of administration, and those speaking in different kinds of tongues.

1 Corinthians 3:9 For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, God’s building.

John 14:12 I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me WILL DO WHAT I HAVE BEEN DOING. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father

1 Corinthians 15:2 By this gospel you are saved, iF YOU HOLD FIRMLY TO THE WORD I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain.

Romans 1:5 Through him and for his name’s sake, we received grace and apostleship to call people from among all the Gentiles to the OBEDIENCE that comes from faith.

Philippians 2:12 Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always OBEYED—not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence—CONTINUE TO WORK OUT YOUR SALVATION WITH FEAR AND TREMBLING.

Romans 6:16 Don’t you know that when you offer yourselves to someone to obey him as slaves, you are slaves to the one whom you obey—WHETHER YOU ARE SLAVES TO SIN, WHICH LEADS TO DEATH, OR TO OBEDIENCE, WHICH LEADS TO RIGHTEOUSNESS?

2 Corinthians 9:13 Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, men will praise God for the OBEDIENCE THAT ACCOMPANIES YOUR CONFESSION OF THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone else.

Ephesians 4:11-13 It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to PREPARE God’s people FOR WORKS OF SERVICE, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the FULLNESS of Christ.

Romans 2:7 To those who by persistence in DOING GOOD seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life.

Galatians 6:9 Let us not become weary in DOING GOOD, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

Ephesians 2:10 For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus TO DO GOOD WORKS, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

1 Timothy 6:18-19 Command them TO DO GOOD, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. In this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life.

Hebrews 5:8-9 Although he was a son, he learned OBEDIENCE from what he suffered and, once made PERFECT, he became the SOURCE OF ETERNAL SALVATION for all who OBEY HIM.

New International Version 1984 Matthew 19:16-17 The Rich Young Man Now a man came up to Jesus and asked, “Teacher, what good thing must I do to get eternal life?” “Why do you ask me about what is good?” Jesus replied. “There is only One who is good. If you want to enter life, OBEY THE COMMANDMENTS.”

Matthew 25:21 “His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful SERVANT You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. COME AND SHARE YOUR MASTER’S HAPPINESS!’

WE ARE SANCTIFIED BY THESE TRUTHS AS IT IS WRITTEN:
John 17:17 Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth.

James 1:22 BUT BE YE DOERS OF THE WORD AND NOT HEARERS ONLY deceiving your own selves.

Romans 2:13 (For it is not the hearers of the law who are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.

1 John 5:3 For this is the love of God: that WE KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS; and His commandments are not grievous.

1 John 3:18 My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue, but in deed and in truth.

Ephesians 3:19 and to know this LOVE that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all THE FULLNESS OF GOD.

THE THIRD PHASE OF SALVATION IS SALVATION FROM GOD’S WRATH. THIS IS DEPENDING ON GOD’S MERCY AND JUDGMENT(JUSTICE).

Romans 9:15 For he says to Moses, “I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.”

1 John 4:17 In this way, love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment, because IN THIS WORLD WE ARE LIKE HIM.

Matthew 12:36-37 But I tell you that MEN WILL HAVE TO GIVE ACCOUNT ON THE DAY OF JUDGMENT for every careless word they have spoken. For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.”

John 16:8 When he comes, he will convict the world of guilt in regard to sin and righteousness and judgment in regard to sin, because men do not believe in me; in regard to righteousness, because I am going to the Father,(ref:john 14:12) where you can see me no longer; and in regard to judgment,(ref:hebrews 10:26-27) because the prince of this world now stands condemned.

Romans 2:5-10 But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God’s wrath, when his righteous judgment will be revealed. God “will give to each person according to what he has done.” To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life. But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil, there will be wrath and anger. There will be trouble and distress for every human being who does evil: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile; but glory, honor and peace for everyone who does good: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile.

Romans 14:10 You, then, why do you judge your brother? Or why do you look down on your brother? FOR WE WILL ALL STAND BEFORE GOD’S JUDGMENT SEAT.

2 Corinthians 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive what is due him for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.

Hebrews 9:27-28 Just as man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people; and he will appear a second time, NOT TO BEAR SIN, BUT TO BRING SALVATION to those who are waiting for him.

1 Peter 4:17-18 For it is time for judgment to begin with the family of God; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for THOSE WHO DO NOT OBEY the gospel of God? And, “If it is hard for the righteous to be saved, what will become of the ungodly and the SINNER?”
Your very first line, you twist. Making the word by, void. So that alone discounted your whole post to me and I read no further.

Do you realize that Paul and James had a dispute?

And Paul came to a realization that he was only going to preach Christ and Him crucified. Not by our faith, we are saved....we are saved by His blood sacrifice. He died for all the world. But, faith in the message is what will give us the benefit of the Cross.

So preach reconciliation and let the Holy Ghost do the judging of the heart. And the work of our salvation daily.

What has happened to the simplicity of the gospel of Jesus Christ?

That which Dcon...preaches. ;)

So here you have it brothers and sisters. Do not be deceived by this individual preaching a sinless perfection doctrine that cheapens God's perfect standard and is designed to make the true believer feel guilt that he isn't perfect. Follow how this point went from post post and see the pride and really lying that this man engages in:
From post 41503:

I don't see the words "sin" or "hypocrisy" mentioned in Gal 2.
Peter's "blame" stemmed from his giving credence to continued submission to parts of the law that were no longer in effect.
Thousands of other Jews were still using the law in Jerusalem: do you think they were all sinners?
If the sign says, "Don't use hair dryer in the bathtub", do you suppose everyone is doing so?
To infer that all Peter's "brothers" commit sin is erroneous thinking.
If a supposed brother manifests his service to sin, our forgiveness of that man will be his first step into belief, as the sin itself showed he wasn't submitted to God in the first place.
My pride in in God, and His Son Christ Jesus, who has saved me from service to the destroyer of men.

Well there's your problem!! You must be reading a different Bible. Here is Galatians 2, where Paul calls Peter and the other Jews with him HYPOCRITES!
Galatians 2: 11 Now when Peter[a] had come to Antioch, I withstood him to his face, because he was to be blamed; 12 for before certain men came from James, he would eat with the Gentiles; but when they came, he withdrew and separated himself, FEARING those who were of the circumcision. 13 And the rest of the Jews also played the hypocrite with him, so that even Barnabas was carried away with their hypocrisy.14 But when I saw that they were not straightforward about the TRUTH OF THE GOSPEL, I said to Peter before them all, “If you, being a Jew, live in the manner of Gentiles and not as the Jews, why do you[b] compel Gentiles to live as Jews?[c]15 We who are Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles, 16 knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified.
So whether intentional or not, you have just lied, and on Scripture! Please tell me how you can now rationalize this lie in your mind.
Not only was Peter being a hypocrite, but he was being untruthful (lying) about the Gospel!! How on earth are you able to twist in your mind that he wasn't sinning!?

I use the King James bible, and those words are not in it.

Your comment about Jesus telling Peter to forgive brothers who sin is so warped and convoluted I don't think even you are buying it.
I honestly feel for you. You have such a low view of our Lord and His perfection.
Here is his response to my post:
I don't know what version of bible you are using, but it sounds...adulterated to promote somebody's personal doctrine.
Not only was Peter being a hypocrite, but he was being untruthful (lying) about the Gospel!! How on earth are you able to twist in your mind that he wasn't sinning!?

You lost me there.

His pride runs so deep, and he has become so deluded by this doctrine, that he cannot admit that he was wrong and lied about Peter being a hypocrite and misrepresenting the Gospel.
No matter how you feel about me, the message that you too can live without sin does not hinge on the behavior of anyone but yourself.
God has made a way to live without sin.
If you can't believe me, quit sinning and then God will hear your prayers for a different messenger.
