Col 2:16

Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the Sabbath
If ANYONE keeps the Sabbath, they are to do the WHOLE law..and..if they return to the Law for even one thing..they FALL FROM GRACE..according to Galatians 5:4.
Why would anyone want to be under the bondage of the Law when they can have grace and freedom under the law of Christ? Ifind it very strange why ANYONE would want to fall from grace just to keep that which was never part of them anyway.

Act 20:7 And UPON THE FIRST DAY OF THE WEEK, (every week has a first day of the week) when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight {Saturday is the LAS day of the week}
1Co 16:2 UPON THE FIRST DAY OF THE WEEK, (every week has a first day of the week) let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come. {Saturday is the LAST day of the week}
May I suggest that you try and find a church of Christ to worship with... :)

It's all to do with Jesus my friend not law keeping. You will only be accounted right with God in Christ, not by law keeping.

The law will never save you or keep you saved, Christ can save because he fully obeyed under the law, took on the curse of the law and rose again defeating death on our behalf. Because we could not. Obey in Christ my friend. Don't anull His work by putting yourself under the curse of the law.

Is it a 'curse to love God and neighbour ?
because that is the law WE are talking about when we keep God's Commandments. We are not talking about anything Jesus/Yahshua abolished on the cross Eph 2v15; Col 2v14.

Hi, I am trying to keep God's Holy day in the correct way, I do not go to a church because there are only two churches in the village in which I live and although I have been asked to join one of them, they do not keep God's Holy day on a Saturday.

I wondered if any one else have the same problem, and if so what you do.

Here are the requirements for keeping the Sabbtath. Exodus 31:12-17 “And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,13 “Speak also to the children of Israel, saying: ‘Surely My Sabbaths you shall keep, for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, that you may know that I am the Lord who sanctifies you.14 You shall keep the Sabbath, therefore, for it is holy to you. Everyone who profanes it shall surely be put to death; for whoever does any work on it, that person shall be cut off from among his people.15 Work shall be done for six days, but the seventh is the Sabbath of rest, holy to the Lord. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.16 Therefore the children of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, to observe the Sabbath throughout their generations as a perpetual covenant.17 It is a sign between Me and the children of Israel forever; for in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day He rested and was refreshed.’”

First requirement is on needs to be a child of Israel.

Numbers 28:9-10 ‘And on the Sabbath day two lambs in their first year, without blemish, and two-tenths of an ephah of fine flour as a grain offering, mixed with oil, with its drink offering—10 this is the burnt offering for every Sabbath, besides the regular burnt offering with its drink offering.”

You need to add two lambs to the regular Sabbath offering. So to observe the Sabbath you need to be an Israelite, you need to sacrifice two lambs plus te regular Sabbath offering.

Exodus 16:23-
“Then he said to them, “This is what the Lord has said: ‘Tomorrow is a Sabbath rest, a holy Sabbath to the Lord. Bake what you will bake today, and boil what you will boil; and lay up for yourselves all that remains, to be kept until morning.’”24 So they laid it up till morning, as Moses commanded; and it did not stink, nor were there any worms in it.25 Then Moses said, “Eat that today, for today is a Sabbath to the Lord; today you will not find it in the field.26 Six days you shall gather it, but on the seventh day, the Sabbath, there will be none.”

Do you cook all your meals on Friday then eat them on the Sabbath? If you go out to eat, you are causing people to brake the Sabbath by working to cook your meal.

The beautiful thing about being a Christian is that Jesus is the Lord even of the Sabbath, so we find our Sabbath rest in Him.

Matthew 12:7-8
“But if you had known what this means, ‘I desire mercy and not sacrifice,’ you would not have condemned the guiltless.8 For the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath.”

The Lord doe not desire your two lamb sacrifice, because the Son of Man, Jesus is the Lord even of the Sabbath and we find our rest in Him. Here is what lead up to Jesus saying He is even the Lord of the Sabbath.

Matthew 11:25-30
“At that time Jesus answered and said, “I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and prudent and have revealed them to babes.26 Even so, Father, for so it seemed good in Your sight.27 All things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father. Nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and the one to whom the Son wills to reveal Him.28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

Jesus give the Christian's soul the Sabbath rest that it desires and we do not strive to find it, like those in the wilderness.

Hebrews 3:7-11
“Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says: “Today, if you will hear His voice,8 do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion, in the day of trial in the wilderness,9 where your fathers tested Me, tried Me, and saw My works forty years.10 Therefore I was angry with that generation, and said, ‘They always go astray in their heart, and they have not known My ways.’11 So I swore in My wrath, ‘they shall not enter My rest.’”

Hebrews 4:1-10 “Therefore, since a promise remains of entering His rest, let us fear lest any of you seem to have come short of it.2 For indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them; but the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it.3 For we who have believed do enter that rest, as He has said:

“So I swore in My wrath, ‘They shall not enter My rest,’”

although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.4 For He has spoken in a certain place of the seventh day in this way: “And God rested on the seventh day from all His works”;5 and again in this place: “They shall not enter My rest.”

6 Since therefore it remains that some must enter it, and those to whom it was first preached did not enter because of disobedience,7 again He designates a certain day, saying in David, “Today,” after such a long time, as it has been said:

“Today, if you will hear His voice, do not harden your hearts.”

8 For if Joshua had given them rest, then He would not afterward have spoken of another day.9 There remains therefore a rest for the people of God.10 For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His.

11 Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience.”

Christians obey the Gospel and enter into the Sabbath rest of the Lord Jesus. Christians do not disobey the word of the Lord and fall according to the example of those that rebelled in the wilderness. We enter His rest and do not have to work but rest as the Lord rested on tghe seventh day. We rest in Christ because we obey the Gospel, those that seek to do the work of keeping the Sabbath they do not enter His rest by obeying the Gospel.

The Sabbath was a sign between God and the children of Israel….. Deut. 5:15

Deu 5:2-3 The LORD our God made a covenant with us in Horeb…….{NOTICE what follows}…… The LORD made NOT THIS covenant with our fathers,……. but with us, even us, who are all of us here alive this day
Deu 5:15 And remember that thou wast a servant in the land of Egypt, and that the LORD thy God brought thee out thence through a mighty hand and by a stretched out arm: therefore the LORD thy God commanded thee to keep the sabbath day.

The Sabbath day was to be “remembered” because it was a memorial of the ISRAELITES deliverance.

Exo 31:16-17 Wherefore THE CHILDREN OF ISREAL shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant. IT IS A SIGN BETWEEN…. ME AND THE CHILDREN OF ISREAL…. for ever: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed
Thoughts to ponder....have a great day

John/Yahanan 14:6, "Yahshua proclaimed to him: I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man comes to the Father, except through Me."

Mat 15:24, “And He answering, said, “I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Yisra’yl.”

Jeremiah 31:33, "For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Yisra’yl: After those days, says YHWH: I will put My Law (Torah/Instructions) in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts, and I will be their Strength, and they will be My people."

Romans 9:6-8, "However, it is not as though YHWH's plan had failed. For it is not everyone who is a descendant of Yisra’yl who belongs to Yisra’yl. Nor, just because they are his descendants, are they all Abraham's children; but: In Isaac will your seed be called. That is, it is not those who are the children of the flesh who are YHWH's children; but it is the children of the promise who are regarded as Abraham's seed."

Psalm 105:6-9, "O seed of Abraham His servant, You children of Yaaqob, His chosen ones! He is YHWH our Father! His judgments are in all the earth. He has remembered His covenant forever, the Law He commanded for a thousand generations; Which He made; ratified, established, with Abraham, and vowed by His oath to Isaac. He confirmed it; let it stand, to Yaaqob for a Law, and to Israyl for an everlasting covenant."

Galatians 3:27-29, “For as many of you as were immersed into Messiah have put on Messiah. There is not Yehuḏi nor Greek, there is not slave nor free, there is not male and female, for you are all one in Messiah יהושע. And if you are of Messiah, then you are seed of Aḇraham, and heirs according to promise.”

Psalm 89:26-37, "He will call out to Me; ‘You are my Father, O YHWH! You are the Rock of my salvation!’ And I will make Him My firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth. My mercy I will keep for Him forever and My covenant will stand fast withHim. And I will establish His Seed forever, and His throne will be as the days of heaven. Should His children forsake My Law, and refuse to walk in My judgments; Should they profane My statutes, and fail to keep My commandments; Then I will punish their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with lashes from the whip. Nevertheless, My lovingkindness I will not utterly withdraw from Him, nor will I ever betray My faithfulness. My covenant I will not break, nor will I change what has gone out of My lips. Once for all, I have vowed by My holiness, I cannot lie, and I say to David; His Seed will endure forever, and his throne will endure before Me like the sun. His throne will be established forever like the moon: the faithful witness in the sky."

Thank you, Johnny_b.

You need to add two lambs to the regular Sabbath offering. So to observe the Sabbath you need to be an Israelite, you need to sacrifice two lambs plus te regular Sabbath offering.
A lamb offering is when you offer yourself up as lamb.

A suckling ram is the attitude required when you go to make the sabbath.
Get ready to receive a drink from the Lord.

Dear Phil;
The problem had by some is their problem. They can deal with it in Messiah, just as he does with any who hear his voice.

Only say what is necessary, true, uplifting...

When I analyze your argument, and seek its validity through scripture I must say I find many flaws.

For example, you argue that the law is through, completed, and I see it filled up with the spirit that Messiah meant it to be filled with.
I wasn't raised to obey the law just like most of the people who share on CC. So the "schoolmaster" that is mentioned in Gal did not apply. It wasn't until I looked for God with all my mind that I knew I had never had a proper schoolmaster. The law is this and living by faith, and in Messiah Yahshua we all are called to know that full knowledge of the truth because that truth is what sets souls free.

That truth you claim to know yet by your word, "puts yourself under a curse", which means you're judgment on the person who "lives in them", keeping the Sabbath day and the law of God is under a curse. I say to you your faith is void because you teach the law is void.

In Love I say what you are saying that many may hear TRUTH. SHALOM TO THOSE FAR OFF, SHALOM TO THOSE NEAR THE PROMISE.

You are going to great lengths to stress the DIFFERENCE between christians and Israelites...there might wellbe physically but we are now speaking and living SPIRITually....and being IN Christ there is now NO difference....that's what scripture says Gal 3v28.
If you are not now a 'spiritual Jew/Israelite you are not sharing in any covenant with God or receiving any promise of God...it's just as simple as that. God bless and give it some thought.

btw, the 10 Commandments ARE the whole law as given by GOD personally and the rest of the commandments contained in ordinances/works Yahshua/Jesus dealt with on the cross Eph 2v15; Col 2v14.

Hi Beta,

Christ took upon Himself the curse of the law on the cross. For Christians being loving to your neighbour does not bring a curse.

I am not talking about what Jesus abolished on the cross as you seem to think.. In fact I don't even know where you get that idea, I am talking about what Jesus ACCOMPLISHED on the cross.

JOHN TALMID in Messiah Yahshua of Nazareth the Holy One of all the people of Elohim.

Dear John,

Thanks for your post. First off where do I say the law is void. Thats the first flaw in your argument (in red above)! All men and women are under the righteous judgement of the law. The law is there to point us to the Saviour.

The second flaw in your argument is this (in brown above):

I wasn't raised to obey the law just like most of the people who share on CC. So the "schoolmaster" that is mentioned in Gal did not apply
If you say you had no 'schoolmaster' your conscience and the work of God brought it before your eyes fore it was written in your heart. Therefore you were, whether you like it or not under its curse.

Romans 2:14-24 - all men know the law. the gentiles own conscience either accuses them or they excuse themselves hardening their hearts even more.

your last second last paragraph does not stand under scrutiny (in blue and red above). Paul address this very issue:

By Faith, or by Works of the Law?

3 O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you? It was before your eyes that Jesus Christ was publicly portrayed as crucified. 2 Let me ask you only this: Did you receive the Spirit by works of the law or by hearing with faith? 3 Are you so foolish? Having begun by the Spirit, are you now being perfected by[a] the flesh? 4 Did you suffer[b] so many things in vain—if indeed it was in vain? 5 Does he who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you do so by works of the law, or by hearing with faith— 6 just as Abraham “believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness”?
7 Know then that it is those of faith who are the sons of Abraham. 8 And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify[c] the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel beforehand to Abraham, saying, “In you shall all the nations be blessed.” 9 So then, those who are of faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith.
The Righteous Shall Live by Faith

10 For all who rely on works of the law are under a curse; for it is written, “Cursed be everyone who does not abide by all things written in the Book of the Law, and do them.” 11 Now it is evident that no one is justified before God by the law, for “The righteous shall live by faith.”[d]12 But the law is not of faith, rather “The one who does them shall live by them.” 13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us—for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree”— 14 so that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles, so that we might receive the promised Spirit[e] through faith.

Yes Amen, also I may add

Where there is strife, there is pride, but wisdom is found in those who take advice.

Romans 7:25, "Thanks be to YHWH, I have deliverance through Yahshua Messiah our King! So then, with this same mind, I myself serve the Law of YHWH, while in the flesh that is yet subject to the law of sin."
What translation do you use? Or are you making it up?

Your version of R 7:25:
"Thanks be to YHWH, I have deliverance through Yahshua Messiah our King! So then, with this same mind, I myself serve the Law of YHWH, while in the flesh that is yet subject to the law of sin.

The New Testament version:
χάρις τῷ Θεῷ διὰ Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ τοῦ Κυρίου ἡμῶν. ἄρα οὖν αὐτὸς ἐγὼ τῷ μὲν νοῒ δουλεύω νόμῳ Θεοῦ, τῇ δὲ σαρκὶ νόμῳ ἁμαρτίας.
"Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God's law, but in my sinful nature a slave to the law of sin." (NIV)

Is it really necessary to make Bible "more Jewish" than it actually is?

Are you farmilliar with the translation of the LXX Septuigint? They used Theos and Kyrios in the place of YHWH. Also Whts up with the seemingly anti-semitisim? I seek truth, that is it.

Romans 7:25

Romans 7:25, “Thanks be to YHWH, I have deliverance through Yahshua Messiah our King! So then, with this same mind, I myself serve the Law of YHWH, while in the flesh that is yet subject to the law of sin.”

New International Version
Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God's law, but in my sinful nature a slave to the law of sin.

New Living Translation
Thank God! The answer is in Jesus Christ our Lord. So you see how it is: In my mind I really want to obey God's law, but because of my sinful nature I am a slave to sin.

English Standard Version
Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself serve the law of God with my mind, but with my flesh I serve the law of sin.

The Septuagint used only Lord as the translation for YHWH, not God.

And the New Testament is not a translation of anything and it is not the Septuagint. In the original is "God" and "Lord". Iésús and Christos. Ekvivalent of those in English are Jesus and Christ.

I do not like when people change the text, for whatever agenda they may have.
