Just to keep this out of the current 20 Trillion Dollar Budget deficit range, I went back about thirty years to look at spending we could more possibly fathom. We're just going to look at one measly little single Billion.

To get an idea of how much one billion is, remember this little exercise:

Imagine yourself spending one thousand dollars per day since Jesus Christ was born. When the year 2000 rolled around, you would not yet have spent a billion dollars — you would have about $270 million to go! In fact, if you had been spending one million dollars per day since Christ's birth, you would still not have spent as much as the federal government spent in the single year 1984 alone (over $800 billion), during the tightwad Reagan administration.

Just imagine the overwhelming horror of the ungodly spending of today.

Actually realizing how much money is just purely wasted makes me really freaking angry. I understand need but the entire world looks at us like we're their personal piggy bank and we just keep making couches out of cash. It's unreal. No big deal....Glad I can pay in and add to the pile even though the debt keeps mounting. Don't get me wrong...need is real and needs met but at some point we have to draw a line.

Something the Socialists miss is that when the first settlers came here, they had nothing.

I am sure they stopped at islands along the way where the people had much more than they did. Yet, they sailed on and landed in a country that they eventually built into the Great America PRESIDENT Trump is bringing back...............
............... and those islanders still only have just about what they had two hundred years ago.

And the Liberal Socialists think things would somehow change if we gave them everything we have worked for.

I could bring that same analogy home, and compare social situations inside the confines of this very country, but I am trying to let people use their brains to see that for themselves.

I remember when I was in high school our history teacher said the national debt was about $3 trillion and he was saying what an enormous amount of money that was.

When obama took over in 2008, the debt was at $10 trillion. That is more than 30 years since I've been in high school..
So it went up only $7 trillion in about 30 years....

Then obama comes along and it goes from $10 trillion to $19 trillion in just 8 years. That's a rise of $9 trillion on only 8 years! (compared to a rise of $7 trillion over the previous 30 years)

Yep that's what bailing out banks will do for ya.... The banks were in such need after all lending money to people for houses they couldn't afford to pay for. Personally feel like some of those banks should have failed because of their lending practices it got us into the housing bubble that popped all over all of us. Our house values suffered greatly for quite a while....
