Well what are you think about this mans words? He sees the spiritual situation of USA, and he don't like what he sees, because he sees that it's proud, and earthly kind, and I can't be much more with him, in this case.

Where is the holiness of today's churches, when the pastors looks like a movie stars, and act like on also? No one can't tell the difference between them and normal ungodly money greed man.

Where are the true christian mans, and shepherd's? And are they even wanted to be in churches? Do peoples even miss them?

I have never been to the USA, but I would guess it will be similar to the rest of the world.

Many true Christians, true elders etc will be those who are not in the worldly lights. Just living normal Christian life without being seen, recorded, broadcasted, famous.

t is much similar and it ain't good thing.

there is too much loving of worldly things and values instead loving of God, and the values of true christianity. We should live our lives like our Lord lived, but the christianity of today do not live, like our Lord, but instead it has adopted the world inside of the churches, and true christianity shows like an alien to churches, like our Lord was to world.

Love of the world is enmity against God.

You can't see it, because love of the world comes with blindness.

May God help to open some of you eyes for the truth.

I like Frank Schaeffer's view on the US:

I don't know what the orthodox christian's could do, but they seems to understand even something from the Gospel, unlike most of those who "spread" the worldly word out there thinking that they spread words of God.

And that is not the question that what orthodox can do, but what we can do?

To me, eastern orthodox seem to be closer to gospel than roman catholics. They even have some good ideas, catechisms etc.

But they are also full of various superstitions, idolatry, traditions and concentration on people ("saints"). And regarding Mary, they are making the same mistake as the RCC, making of her something she is not.

And its true, that they are virtually invisible in life, they are probably sitting in their church buildings or something. I have never seen them outside.

Now, this man is telling it like it really is with Orthodox priests! You talk about some pathetic little men who go way out of their way to stand out from the congregation in their grooming, clothes, actions and manner of speech. It is not hard to see how special and revered they want (need?) to be regarded as. The few times I have been to both Greek and Russian Orthodox Services, it was hard to keep a straight face.

This priest has lot to say about the situation of American faith culture of today. My heart is joying when I see that someone can see. I hope that someone of you can also join in this joy what I have now.

Hmmmm...what is it you are joying in exactly? That you see the problems with churches in America?

What of the situation of the churches in Finland?

Schaffer has some good points, but I also think he has lost contact with just who our God is.

The situation in Finland is dire.
All we have is the apostate state lutheran church and charismatics. That is literally all there is.

I like the confessional lutherans that have broken free from the apostate state church and stayed true to the original lutheran faith.

How did Finland come to such a place?

How did Finland come to such a place?

It started in the 60s when the Lutheran state church decided to start "modernizing" the church, and little by little it went downhill.
The people who used to be faithful members defected to the only remaining conservative groups, which were non-denominational charismatics and pentecostals.

Then it is bleak on both ends of the spectrum. Sounds time for a new reformation over there.

Yes. I cannot wait, I sometimes think what could I do myself?

It just seems that Finland only has the liberal funcenter kind of Christianity left.
