Bizarre Foods

The Incredible Dr. Pol

...and when I can catch them on PBS, I watch episodes of British comedies like Faulty Towers, Are You Being Served, Keeping up Appearances, The Black Adder
I have never heard of Are you being served, but faulty towers is a classic. And that you like Black Adder, too... You are not a bad guy, Jon. And you certainly have a taste for good humour.

Another show I like is a Canadian comedy show - Corner Gas. It's wonderfully dry humor and I giggle a lot watching it.

Show me where the money changer's tables are around here, I'll show you how compassionate Christ was to those who polluted His Temple.

If this were a matter of people struggling with sex addictions I'd understand. But as it is, we have Christ professing people openly and shamelessly proclaiming and rejoicing in their salacious sexual appetites.
The money changers were there due to the religious authorities let them be there . Christ went after the leadership. He was also healing those in the temple that were there for worship. Most folks here are not pastors or elders in the Church.

Yes, I agree. I only watch older Simpsons episodes, the ones from the first ten seasons.

Haven't seen Bob's Burgers. I hear it's a good show so maybe I'll check it out. Too bad it's not on Netflix so I could start watching from the beginning.
Well, its on hulu. You could totally drop your netflix account for hulu, haha. I dont care much for netflix :p Its great though, yeah. Dunno if youve ever watched Home Movies, but one of the guys who helped make that show did Bobs Burgers. Its a nice show, focuses more on the family stuff than like Family Guy, and much of the show is improvised, so the jokes are often really great : p

I was watching an episode last night with my family, and it was like a mothers day episode. The youngest daughter was telling her mother about a western themed mothers day play they put on. The daughter played the mother of the sheriff in the play, she was introduced when the sheriff came and asked her what she was knitting (she was sitting in a rocking chair knitting), and she responded "spurs".
It made us laugh pretty hard : p

I dunno, you probly had to see it to appreciate it, but its a good show : p

And haha, same! S1-10 were great, and I stop caring after that.

BTW..... For the record, I love seeing naked women.... PHart can call me anything he wants, except late for dinner.
Well no kidding. What straight man doesn't like naked women, lol. That doesn't make it right to look at a naked woman you aren't married to.

Why ya'll give this man PHart such a hard time? He ain't totally wrong, he's actually a good bit right. I guess I could just be a bit of a pessimist, I just accept it as the reality that I was born into and that we live in. I mean sex and TV/movies is a big subject especially right now with almost daily news of another actor or director or big TV/Movie person being exposed or confessing to some lurid sex scandal. Kinda leaves little to wonder why TV and movies are so sexualized. Art imitating life, or life trying to imitate art, a pretty classic motif.
I appreciate this. I really do. I respect you for your honesty. We do live in a very difficult time in history.

Perhaps if you discuss how to properly censor one's life and give examples of what you do, you can establish some credibility in this area.
I did. I explained how you can 'IMDB' entertainment content BEFORE you watch it. Also, the filter on my Netflix is set to block mature content. It's boring sometimes, but I know I can't have God and the desires of sinful flesh at the same time. I'd rather have God.

Hey phart why do you keep hounding on the part about sex? It's like you're obsessed with it or something. YOU brought sex-on-TV into the conversation and YOU are the one keeping that part of the topic alive. What is it with you and sex on TV?

Mind you, I don't even watch TV. I just have too many other things I'd rather be doing. But your insistence about talking about sex, specifically, is somewhat bizarre.
Look at the church. That's why.

What do you like to watch or do? Lead us in your example, all you are doing right now is condemning everything, and if we don't see what you do we can't really take it seriously.
I'm kind of embarrassed to say, but I like.........I can't say it.......

Okay, okay! Fuller House. There, I said it! Are you happy now?

Is the passion of the Christ too violent? I think the violence is necessary to convey the message properly and it's an important one.
I think it was unnecessarily graphic. I hold that as a personal opinion.

Is the twilight zone safe to watch?
Only if you like science fiction B movies.

It is like the people who claim Christ, and actually want to represent goodness, and decency, and be Christlike, and separate themselves from the world, and from what is not of the Spirit,is becoming like dinosaurs ready to be extinct in not too many years from now.

Like Jesus said when He comes back, will He find faith.

Anything that is not of God is wrong, and we are laboring, and living for the kingdom if God,not the kingdom of the world.

But today people who actually do want to do what is right, and abstain from the worldly ways, are kind of belittled, and too strict, and need to loosen up,and stop being so goody goody two shoes, which is strange.

I agree completely. I have made this same observation. Perhaps the coming economic collapse will change this and bring Christians back to their senses and back to repentance. Suffering has a way of doing that.

What is strange is claiming that people only have one reason to watch any type of show if there is any adult content, and that doing so only leads to sin, which he seems to have a great deal of experience with, yet refuses to take responsibility for, repeatedly projecting his inability to control his lascivious animal urges onto any who dares to question his faulty premise, as if everything not living up to his standard is porn.

What is strange is condemning people for watching movies rated for eight, ten, and thirteen year olds.

What is strange is him claiming to be exercising discernment because he has that right, as if nobody else does.

What is strange is how he rationalizes and justifies lying and misrepresenting himself while putting on airs as if he is better than others.

What is strange is that he is fine with falsely accusing others, condemning, judging, and generally behaving as he says non-believers do, attacking those who disagreed with him.

What is strange is that I think he was actually proud of his performance. If it is wrong for him to watch a movie for purely prurient interests, and that show causes him to sin, that is one thing, but to claim that for everyone else is something else entirely.

It is also strange that you think watching anything he doesn't like is considered partaking in worldly ways, and evidence of lack of faith.
