If you can't read in today's day there are other media forms you could get the truth from. Let's say you listen to someone because you are incapable of reading..if they tell you false doctrine, it won't be you that gets in trouble. It would be them. False prophets are an abomination. Look at Numbers when they told the slaves of Israel to go into the land, they came back talking about the giants there. In other words, they were trying to detour the people and tell them go back to Egypt. Why would God deliver you from your oppressors just to send you back? That's not the God I serve. So, what did God do kill them off. One person with no faith causes others to have no faith. And, if they have faith..and choose to spread God's word, they have to rightly divide the Word of truth. I hope I answered your question.

Forget the numbers. Here's a simple solution to this KJV is the perfect word of God dilemma.

Pick your favorite book of the Bible in you perfect version of the KJV. Translate it from the English to the original text. If it is the perfect word of God, when you compare the translated text and the original text they will be identical.

The KJV is not the standard by which we compare versions. Its a version, too.
The truth should be the standard for all versions to follow and so far, barring any new version, the KJV has no lie of the truth but other modern Bibles do.

All Bibles testify that the Holy Spirit cannot speak for Himself in John 16:13, and that means He cannot use God's gift of tongues which is of other men's lips to speak unto the people to turn it around for His own personal use in uttering His own intercessions for us when He cannot even utter His groanings in according to Romans 8:26 of the KJV. That is why verse 27 is a testimony about the Son in knowing the mind of the Spirit in how the Father knows of the Spirir's intercession because of the will of God that there be only one Mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus at that throne of grace.

So if you want a standard, the KJV by far, is holding to the truth in His words whereas other modern Bibles have declined from the testimony of the Son in Romans 8:27 and why many believers today that have fallen away from the faith in giving heed to seducing spirits & doctrines of devils by thinking they can receive the Holy Spirit apart from salvation and by a sign of tongues too... which tongues is not supposed to serve as a sign towards the believers about anything but towards the unbelievers; 1 Corinthians 14:21-22

Now is the truth important to you? Do you want a Bible that does not have Romans 8:26-27 contradict John 16:13? Then that is why, by the grace of God & His help, I choose the KJV because many have fallen away from the faith in these latter days as the focus is on the Holy Spirit in worship when the indwelling Holy Spirit would always lead His disciples to put the focus only on the Son in worship so that by honoring Him, they are honoring the Father. There is no other way to come to God the Father by.

So the truth is the standard and there can be no lie of the truth which most modern Bibles does not pass, but the KJV does

Only by trusting the Lord Jesus Christ as your Good Shepherd to show that truth to you is why the KJV is the one to rely on for the meat of His words to discern good and evil by in these latter days where faith is hard to find.

I will assert that every letter, number, period, semi-colon, and comma (and every other" jot" and "tittle" that I failed to mention) have been placed in the word of God by God Himself and nothing is by chance!
As far as I know semi-colons, commas, periods were added (iirc) by translators and weren't in mss. Do you honestly think God told the authors where to put a period, semi-colon, comma &c?

As far as numberals in Scripture they are there for differing reasons. But those are not the numbers I'm speaking of.

I'm speaking of verse numbers, chapter numbers &c. Don't attempt to conflate the 2, they are not the same thing.

The chapter and verse divisions are not the word of God. You are, in fact, adding to the word of God in how you employ your superstitious numerology. You are not a person that believes in what the Scriptures alone teach, you are adding to the Scriptures with your practice.

i thank God for chapter and verse numbers. it makes the bible much easier to navigate. and when ur preaching to tell folks where to turn.

but its a double-edged sword. it sometimes makes us just read one chapter and miss the context and purpose of the entire book.

the originals didnt have chapter or verse numbers. thats fact.

james white is a smart guy but does he do soul-winning? seems he is more interested in debating this guy or that guy. how many folks really change their minds in their debates and get saved?

its not a complete waste of time though, u can always have saved people learn something from them. how to answer people's questions.
He's had numerous saved through his presentation of the Gospel during his debates. He does a very solid job in preaching the Gospel in his venues.

Utter nonsense.

So, we don't just need Jesus to save us, we also need the KJV too.

Wow, more lunacy and false accusations. This nonsense is more ridiculous by the nano-second. Not only that, it's a false gospel!

That is the plain, simple, hard fact. The KJV is not a thing more or less than any other translation of the Bible. The translators of the King James version seem to have gotten some things right, AND gotten other things wrong.

Read as many as you can, and compare & contrast them. Then pray for the specific answer YOU, in particular, are to get from whatever you are studying. I guarantee you that not every answer will be identical for every person in every circumstance.

You really need to do your homework before posting, instead of posting such ignorance. The 1611 KJV had footnotes! The whole point of the footnotes, then as now, is to bring clarification, by noting valid alternate wordings or other pertinent information. Lest ye argueth that the translators excluded alternate wordings, peradventure God will give thee insight as to His truth by this link:

I read the interactive Bible study on Baptism; and it seems to be forcing the issue in 1Pe 3:21.

Holy Spirit Baptism is certainly necessary but is not of our doing.

Water baptism is NOT necessary for Salvation; but, is necessary for obedience if our physical situation makes it possible.

Peter does not make clear in the immediate context which baptism he refers to.

Well, if you are going to over react....and play the KJVOnlyist card without actually addressing how John 16:13 in ALL Bibles opposes what Romans 8:26-27 in that same modern Bible, then I reckon the truth is not your concern.

I never said the KJV can save you. Any one can use any Bible version to preach the gospel.

This is about discipleship; having His actual words to use as meat for discerning good and evil to reprove the works of darkness.

Unfortunately, most modern Bibles are supporting false teachings as well as false tongues. This is why I rely on the KJV. You can't see that truth about how John 16:13 opposes Romans 8:26-27 in all modern Bibles except the KJV because of your antiKJVOnlyist bigotry.

I said if you want to discern good & evil in these latter days where faith is hard to find, then use the KJV for the meat of His words.

But hey, the trumpet has been sounded and seemingly, no one is preparing themselves for the Lord before He comes as the Bridegroom.

As it is, using the KJV will not help any one; trusting Jesus Christ to understand His words in the KJV to rightly divide the word of truth will help them discern good and evil in these latter days; but modern Bibles will not when it supports false tongues, sowing doubts in His words as if God did not really meant that in John 16:13 because of Romans 8:26-27

I think for people to understand the KJV, they have to the audience and the speaker of the Word and why the precept was written. A lot of misunderstanding can come from that as well.

What is interesting is how the KJV bible worded Romans 8:34, afew other bibles have done it too, using (who also makes intercession) basically the KJV did not do a very good translation of that, if someone believes Jesus is the only Intercessor.

In just this short list it appears the KJV and the NASB both have the Intercessor as more than one, in saying (who also intercedes) that isn't a good translation IMO. the berean study bible says it properly (He is interceding for us)

Berean Study Bible
Who is there to condemn us? For Christ Jesus, who died, and more than that was raised to life, is at the right hand of God--and (He is interceding for us.)

Berean Literal Bible
Who is the one condemning? For it is Christ Jesus, the one having died, now rather having been raised up, who is also at the right hand of God, and who is interceding for us.

New American Standard Bible
who is the one who condemns? Christ Jesus is He who died, yes, rather who was raised, who is at the right hand of God, (who also intercedes for us.)

King James Bible
Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, (who also maketh intercession for us.)

Holman Christian Standard Bible
Who is the one who condemns? Christ Jesus is the One who died, but even more, has been raised; He also is at the right hand of God and intercedes for us.

International Standard Version
Who is the one to condemn? It is the Messiah Jesus who is interceding on our behalf. He died, and more importantly, has been raised and is seated at the right hand of God.

KJVO is a cult. It has already turned, not can. It has become a cult.
Is Catholicism a cult, and by association, christianity is a cult too?

Just because I am showing a valid reason why I am relying on the KJV only for the meat of His words to reprove the works of darkness in keeping the faith which is the good fight by His grace & by His help, that does not automatically has me as a KJVOnlyist. If it does, then we are all Catholics... which is not true, so neither is your guilt by association claim.
