I have read the book of Genesis, and to me, we were suppose to be something more, then what we are now. Did you know that as soon as Adam and Eve ate from the Tree of Knowledge, of Good and Evil, that they felt awkward, Scared, and basically aware that they were naked. LOL. I mean really, if you think about it, they were basically walking around the Garden of Eden, naked, but as soon as they ate that fruit, they felt like they had to cover themselves, when God was calling for them. We weren't suppose to know these emotions like awkwardness, fear, and every single thing that came from that fruit. So what exactly do you think, we were suppose to be if Adam and Eve didn't eat from the Tree. Let me hear your opinions and thoughts on this subject.

Thank you

if Adam not ate from the tree of knowledge, His son or one of his son or grandson may ate.

than it may some in the garden of Eden, some on the earth

Thank you all for your amazing opinions and thoughts about the subject at hand. I too have my own opinions about what could of been, or what was suppose to happen. First and for most, were we an emotionless set of people, when God made us. As you know, and probably have already read the Book of Genesis, as Adam and Eve ate the fruit from the Tree, they felt scared and awkward, realizing that they are naked, they hid from the Lord. We must all remember that our Heavenly Father is a God of Balance, when He created the universe, there's always and opposite of something. One can't live without thee other, except only God of course. But we must look at this as God, being a scientist. The way He molded the Universe, separating Day and Night, Sun and Moon, Yin and Yang, etc etc. To me, the completion of the human soul, eating that fruit, made us what we are today. I know it sounds weird and out of this world, but you can't deny that humans got their emotions from this fruit of the Tree of Knowledge, of Good and Evil. Did God set it up for us to eat the fruit? or did He trust too much of mankind, giving us free-will to do anything we want, except to eat from that Tree. We know Good and Evil, there is a battle within us raging everyday, that balance is inside of us, as He created the Universe in a balance state. Perhaps I'm just thinking way.....outside the box on this one, but that's just my theory in this subject. The only One that will truly know is the Heavenly Father Himself. Until then my brothers and sisters.

God Bless. And remember, this is just my thoughts lol.

I don't know exactly for sure what we were supposed to be had Adam and Eve not sided with Satan's lie, and instead had decided to trust God/love, but according to the bible when the Lord gathers His people from the four corners of the earth, He will then rest within them (Zephaniah 3:17), which have great implications.
I then suspect that had Adam and Eve not strayed off target that the Lord would have rested within them.

Zephaniah 3:17 The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.

We would have lived forever in a physical paradise. Eve would have had no pain in labor. Adam would not have to labor to put food on the table. No one would die, so the earth would get over populated. But God knew we would sin- that’s why He didn’t make us in heaven. Because if you look upon God with sin you die forever. So He created partial separation (earth). The new earth will be complete separation from God (hell).

Very true. 99% of sex(between right man and right woman) is for recreation. Satan has counterfeited this to sex for all, with all, whenever and where ever.

When I was a young boy I believed love making was for the procreation of children and noneother. At that point in my life I had not heard the term “sex”. With this in mind I married & now I am a grandfather several times over.

My wife left me and I could not understand why until later on it struck me, procreation is not the only bond there is between a man and a woman. She also so desperately needed the affection that I did not provide.

That form of affection is now being twisted into the term “sex”. I prefer using the term love making instead.

Having said this, I believe “love making” is not a sin while “sex for recreation” is; in my view

how about you? (:-

Good post. I think we're right where God intended us to be.

I once heard...He was told a few things but one of the things he was told was that God meant for earth to be a paradise to be enjoyed before entering heaven. I believe...

Everything God intended with his creation is happening. This isn't plan ___. There was one plan from a perfect God.

What happened was that man 'sinned...therefore man was not perfect though he was 'very good as far as the human physical creation went. Man had yet to be perfected in mind and spirit...to which God wanted our agreement and final choice...because we are to love HIM of our own free will and not like a Robot who has to be 'ordered around/commanded.
I'll say more another time to those who are interested !

No man comes to God and loves him out of their own free will.

You are welcome :)

That looks like an assumption you are making. Perhaps A&E did not know guilt and shame before the fall, but you are saying also that they knew neither love nor joy as well. That cannot be inferred from the text.

Man is mortal unless they eat from the Tree of Life, which A&E did not do. Also, you say that Adam would not have to labor for food, while Scripture states that The LORD God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it. (Genesis 2:15)

I think the "New Jerusalem" that John saw exists now, and came into our realm of existence at the moment the "Old Jerusalem" was made obsolete.... and it is "the Church."

Looking at the scriptures, I can see why you say that Willie. The only differing point I have is you say the new Jerusalem came into our realm of existence with the fall of the old in '70 ad?

I see the picture of the scripture as the church coming down through new heavens to the new earth. The city made up of all Gods people, and God Himself with us, all to live together forever.

But, I could be wrong. :)

Also, I still see Adam and Eve as beings of light. No skin or humanity until the fall.

Not teaching it though. Just my view gleaned from others.

Good morning Stones :) Much love to you! Please do not be offended by my asking, if A&E were not fleshly beings, how could they procreate, since God commanded them to do so (in Genesis 1) well before the fall in Genesis 3? It is true we are told they did not have children until after the fall, but why would God even suggest it if it were not possible? Spirit beings do not procreate, do they? Also, God fashioned man out of the dust of the ground. Why do you think that means that Adam did not have physical properties?

Not offended at all Magenta. Much love to you also. One thing I know if its truth, there's an answer to be found for it.

Genesis 1 is like an overall preview of the picture of creation, with the decree to Adam and Eve at the end of the chapter. Then Genesis 2 gives the details. Eve isn't in the picture until verse 22 of chapter 2. Sex didn't happen until chapter 4. Sounds funny huh? Lol

Light left Adam and Eve which was their nakedness. I believe they themselves were light, being made in Gods image, but if they were first formed of dust, then it would be reflective light from being in His Presence.

Either way, light beings.

I actually said this one time to the Lord, that I didn't want to go through again, the same kind of happenings in the new earth. I didn't want a body, but wanted to remain a light being. He actually answered me. He said, "you will love it". Didn't tell me any details or what I wanted to hear. Lol just I will love it.

So whatever....we will love it.

Eve is in Genesis one also. Starting at verse 26: And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of
God created he him; male and female created he them.

28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them,
Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and
subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea,
and over the fowl of the air, and over every living
thing that moveth upon the earth.

How do you explain them being made of earthly elements without having physicality?

The same way I just did at first Magenta. It's an overall preview in Genesis 1. It was only Adam formed of dust and perhaps that was part of his covering of skin? Some say that it was actual skin, not skins of an animal.

I guess until we know for sure, we can pick and choose?

Consider this though. Some elements of earth have reflective qualities.

And this too, God is Spirit, God is light. What would being formed in His image mean? At one time I would search out words and roots of words to see what I would find.

Now i pick only what I deem important. Too many to choose from. Too many have loose threads. :)

It was never God's intention to leave Adam and Eve in the Garden. What? God didn't know satan was in the garden? What? God couldn't prevent satan from getting in the Garden? What God couldn't keep satan out? God allowed satan in the Garden. What? Do you think God did not know Adam and Eve would commit sin, that He was unaware they would sin? God created the Garden of Eden to show Adam and Eve the seriousness, and the consequences of disobeying God. If God would have created Adam and Eve in the World, and said to them if you do what i command you will go to Heaven. They would not have a clue to as what Heaven was, or would be like. That would be like telling a fish, if you obey my commands you will be able to fly. The fish would have no desire or incentive to obey because they have no clue whatsoever what flying is. But let a fish experience flying in the air way above the water and over land, then they would get a glimpse of what flying was like and desire to do it again.

The Garden of Eden was a taste of Heaven, and when they were kicked out they desired to go back there again, having tasted paradise. So they lost paradise as a result of ONE SIN that ultimately got them kicked them out of the Garden. This was a lesson they would not soon forget. Disobey God and suffer great consequences for it.

If it were God's intention that Adam and Eve remained in the Garden forever, then i assure you with no doubt whatsoever they would be there to this very day. But God put the Trees in there for a reason. God allowed satan in the Garden for a reason. God allowed satan to tempt them for a reason.

Know you not that When Adam and Eve was created that God already knew that one day He was going to send His Only Son to the Earth to be a sacrifice for humankind?

Are you suggesting that God did not know they would sin?
Are you suggesting that God did not already know what He would do when they did?

WHAT EXACTLY WERE WE SUPPOSE TO BE, IF ADAM AND EVE DIDN'T EAT THE FRUIT???

We are exactly what we're supposed to be. I don't believe God created ineffective beings. I'm pretty certain everything He does is perfect and everything is going exactly according to His plan. The earth is the Lord's and everything that's in it. He has dominion over everything and He always will. He created dark, light, the angelic hosts including Lucifer, and created people in His own image. There wasn't a chance people were NOT going to fall and mess up. God our Father created children who learn and grow. That is His plan. For us to grow mature in Him.
