We cannot just sit back and do nothing and let the killing continue. Remember, it's a two way street: there must be compromises on both sides.

One of the first things we in the West should do is stop subsidizing the Palestinians with grants, thereby encouraging them to keep the status quo. There are ugly politicians on both sides.

The land belongs to Israel, the Arabs were offered land and turned it down. There is no reason to divide Israel now,and anyone who tries will wish they hadn't.

Causing 'issues' is an understatement The result can only be conflict ranging from unrest and riots in Israel to a full scale Middle East war. How can Trump possibly view his position as bringing Peace? Meanwhile in the real world the only Countries that support it apart from Israel are the Czech Republic and the Philippines.

Based on what I have been reading this is a bad idea because it will just make tensions worse between Palestine and Israel.
No matter what Trump does you think it is a bad idea....he could die and you would think it is a bad idea....I think it is great.....acknowlede Jerusalem as Israel's capitol.....cool.....at most are saying this could actually lead to peace between the pa lie stinians and Israel.....short lived then the end........

Its all very well for Trump and those of you who support such a move living 1000's of miles away in the US generally away from any trouble that will arise from this move, however, maybe spare a thought for those living in around the middle east who will be in the midst of it.

And just another thought, quite of few Palestinians are Christian, so you're quite happy for them to possibly have more woes heaped upon them?

I think maybe you need to get a Scriptural view of present day Israel and not seeing it through rose coloured glasses!
Palestinian Christians are rather like the Elephant in the room on this site. Everyone knows they are there but no one wants to discuss it. The general consensus seems to be composed of a mixture of political loyalty and distorted theology seen through those glasses you mention. The most disturbing aspect of this mixture to me appears to be a desperate longing for Armageddon. It puts me in mind of a passage in scripture where it says Woe to those who long to see the day of the Lord . it is a day of darkness not light. I cant remember exactly where it is at present but it definitely is there in the Bible somewhere.

Good move by President Trump. It will bring challenges though, the heathen muslims will surely use it as an excuse to wile out, but I mean let's just be real, they would do that anyways, because they are the worst of all idolaters. If the muslims do end up wiling out over this, then I think valiant Israel could use that as a valid reason to finally push the fictional Palestinian people out of their land. Remove the children of that slave woman, they're not to be heirs with Sarah's sons.

Genesis 21:9-10

[SUP]9 [/SUP]And Sarah saw the son of Hagar the Egyptian, which she had born unto Abraham, mocking.
[SUP]10 [/SUP]Wherefore she said unto Abraham, Cast out this bondwoman and her son: for the son of this bondwoman shall not be heir with my son, even with Isaac.

nah

it will just make more obvious the great and impossible gulf that already exists

I mean is there something worse than saying you will wipe Israel off the map and kill all Jews?

get real :p

I'll discuss it. Its very simple. The land was given back to Israel in 1948. At the same time Arabs were given land, which they refused. And they refused that land because they did not want to share it with Israel. Palestinians are Arabs, they are people from the surrounding countries. Why would they now have a right to land in Israel? Whether they are Christian,it makes no difference. Well,it makes one difference,as Christians they ought to support Israel. Simple.

Simple? I would invest on a course on Middle eastern History if I were you. Why should Christians support Israel exactly?
Israel has no liking for Christianity or Christians unless they can see an advantage in it. The majority of Jews do not even follow Judaism as they are supposed to. Israel is a man made state brought about by a mixture of humanitarianism, and politics that came to a head following WW2. Modern Israel has nothing to do with the Bible. God destroyed the Biblical nation in 70 AD following their rejection of Christ despite his constant warnings which still go unheeded by them 2000 plus years later. Israels existence relies on having the US propping them up. It is virtually your 51st state.

"I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers, so that you will not be conceited: A hardening in part has come to Israel, until the full number of the Gentiles has come in. And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written:

"The Deliverer will come from Zion, He will remove godlessness from Jacob. And this is My covenant with them when I take away their sins.”

"Regarding the gospel, they are enemies on your account; but regarding election, they are loved on account of the patriarchs. For God’s gifts and His call are irrevocable. Just as you (Gentiles) who formerly disobeyed God have now received mercy through their disobedience, so they too have now disobeyed, in order that they too may now receive mercy through the mercy shown to you. For God has consigned all men to disobedience, so that He may have mercy on them all."

During that last seven years, the woman/Israel will be cared for by God out in the wilderness during that last 3 1/2 years until Christ returns to the earth to end the age. (Rev.12:6, 14). The following is still in affect:

"I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you."

That said, you ought to repent and reconsider your position regarding Israel.

But I have chosen Jerusalem, that My Name might be there; and have chosen David to be over my people Israel. 2 Chronicles 6:6
The scripture says, "I will bless those who bless you and curse those who treat you with contempt. All the families on earth will be blessed through you (Genesis 12:3)." History was made on December 6, 2017 with President Trump recognizing Jerusalem as the Capitol of Israel. The United States of America has just become the most blessed nation in the world.

The scripture says, "The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turns it wherever he will (Proverbs 21:1)." So this was the LORD's during to set the stage for the "Second Coming of the Lord," The Battle of Armageddon and the Antichrist (who will have the full powers of Satan) to bring peace after the Rapture of the Church that is right at the door (Matthew 24:32-33).

But I have chosen Jerusalem, that My Name might be there; and have chosen David to be over my people Israel.2 Chronicles 6:6

This is it - Bible prophecy happening right before our eyes.
Jerusalem will be that burden to all nations.
The centre of trouble and world war.
The place where all the nations come to make war.

This could well be the catalyst to make events happen.
Hamas and Hezbollah won't take this without a fight.
Turkey will come down. Does that involve NATO?
Russia is next door in Syria and will support their allies against
Israel and the USA.

2018 could be our last year.
Are you ready?

Brother Waggles,

I agree. Maybe not exactly, but what you are saying is a true observation.

----

These events, that are happening right now, are leading to the fall of Jerusalem to Iran and it's allies.

I believe that some events can now be identified in scripture. It's not pre-trib.

1929, the Vatican becomes the renewed Roman Empire. 5th trumpet/5th vial. Israel is driven back to restore Jerusalem and end the times of the gentiles.

1967, The times of the gentiles end when Israel is restored to military control of Jerusalem. Lk 21:20-24.

2001, 9/11, The 6th trumpet, The result of the 6th trumpet is Iraq is dried up as a nation and it's power gone (6th vial).
This allows Iran to attack Jerusalem.

The next, unmistakable, event would be the battle of Armageddon, coming soon, Israel will lose.

Then Jerusalem will fall, and this planet will end after the 7th trumpet blows.

----

Most people have not understood this yet.

But when the battle of Armageddon takes place, there will be no doubt.

----

These events, that are happening, are spiraling to a terrible conclusion for souls who have not accepted the gospel call.

Israel is an apostate Nation who has rejected the Covenant of Christ. I am under no obligation to support them

I don't think Christians are required to support a modern Jewish State, but it sure does piss the mohammedans off, so i'm all in favor of it.
