It is better to believe the Apostle John who walked and was taught by Jesus Christ Himself, who plainly and clearly teaches us Christians what His Commandments are.

1Jn 3:22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. And this is His commandment, That we should 1) Believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ, AND 2) Love One Another, as He gave us commandment. And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.

Anyone, and i say ANYONE who teaches contrary to the above inspired by God Scriptures given to us by the Apostle John who was filled with the Holy Ghost, is not of God but teaches false doctrines which are contrary to the above Scriptures.

Everything John writes is of Jesus for he is counted among the Twelve.

You ask, isn't it better t learn from John. It is good to learn of John, but it is not only better but best to learn of Jesus Christ first-hand.........

Jesus Christ invites us to learn from Him directly when He declares His yoke is easy and His burden is light.

This is in fulfillment of the prophecy we shall be taught of God........

Can the Teachings of the Lord be contrary to the inspired John? .. I think not.. and really find the post astounding.. because of what it is in reply to...

Yet Jesus Christ worked on the Sabbath stating His Father is working still and so must He.

The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath.......

Our pleasure is what pleases our Father, if pleasing the Father requires work, we work.
Hello JaumeJ,

What Law is John saying we can transgress and sin? In line with the Lord’s Testimony.. the Royal Law.. Which affirms to the Lord.. not in place of..

[h=1]1 John 3King James Version (KJV)[/h]3 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.
4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
5 And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.
6 Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.
7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.
11 For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.
12 Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother's righteous.
13 Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you.
14 We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.
15 Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.
16 Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
17 But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?
18 My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.
19 And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him.
20 For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.
21 Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God.
22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.
24 And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.

Unless Jesus Christ has removed the veil of Moses no one can read Moses and see the wisdom and grace of God, all they see is what their own legalistic minds allow by means of the written code without the Holy Spirit.
You are ignoring the grace of God allowed by the sacrifices that allowed people to be cleansed of their sins with the blood of the sacrificed animal, usualy a lamb without blemish. The law in the Torah aka Pentatauch aka Genesis through Deuteronomy is still in effect since the definition of sin is the transgression of the law. As Paul stated we wouldn't know what sin is without the law!! Jesus became the Lamb without blemish and sacrificed himself for our sins if we accept Him.

New Testament truth but not applicable to the Old Testament. Before Christ died on the cross and was resurrected animal sacrifices were made. Why do you think one of His names is the Lamb of God?? A lamb without blemish was the preferred sacrifice. In Old Testament times this was done yearly,

https://www.gotquestions.org/animal-sacrifices.html

Question: "Why did God require animal sacrifices in the Old Testament?"

Answer: God required animal sacrifices to provide a temporary covering of sins and to foreshadow the perfect and complete sacrifice of Jesus Christ (Leviticus 4:35, 5:10). Animal sacrifice is an important theme found throughout Scripture because “without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness” (Hebrews 9:22). When Adam and Eve sinned, animals were killed by God to provide clothing for them (Genesis 3:21). Cain and Abel brought sacrifices to the Lord. Cain's was unacceptable because he brought fruit, while Abel's was acceptable because it was the “firstborn of his flock” (Genesis 4:4-5). After the flood receded, Noah sacrificed animals to God (Genesis 8:20-21).

God commanded the nation of Israel to perform numerous sacrifices according to certain procedures prescribed by God. First, the animal had to be spotless. Second, the person offering the sacrifice had to identify with the animal. Third, the person offering the animal had to inflict death upon it. When done in faith, this sacrifice provided a temporary covering of sins. Another sacrifice called for on the Day of Atonement, described in Leviticus 16, demonstrates forgiveness and the removal of sin. The high priest was to take two male goats for a sin offering. One of the goats was sacrificed as a sin offering for the people of Israel (Leviticus 16:15), while the other goat was released into the wilderness (Leviticus 16:20-22). The sin offering provided forgiveness, while the other goat provided the removal of sin.

Why, then, do we no longer offer animal sacrifices today? Animal sacrifices have ended because Jesus Christ was the ultimate and perfect sacrifice. John the Baptist recognized this when he saw Jesus coming to be baptized and said, “Look, the lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!” (John 1:29). You may be asking yourself, why animals? What did they do wrong? That is the point—since the animals did no wrong, they died in place of the one performing the sacrifice. Jesus Christ also did no wrong but willingly gave Himself to die for the sins of mankind (1 Timothy 2:6). Jesus Christ took our sin upon Himself and died in our place. As 2 Corinthians 5:21 says, “God made him [Jesus] who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” Through faith in what Jesus Christ accomplished on the cross, we can receive forgiveness.

In summation, animal sacrifices were commanded by God so that the individual could experience forgiveness of sin. The animal served as a substitute—that is, the animal died in place of the sinner, but only temporarily, which is why the sacrifices needed to be offered over and over. Animal sacrifices have stopped with Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ was the ultimate sacrificial substitute once for all time (Hebrews 7:27) and is now the only mediator between God and humanity (1 Timothy 2:5). Animal sacrifices foreshadowed Christ’s sacrifice on our behalf. The only basis on which an animal sacrifice could provide forgiveness of sins is Christ who would sacrifice Himself for our sins, providing the forgiveness that animal sacrifices could only illustrate and foreshadow.

You seem to be weak on the whole Bible and end up arguing against what is in the whole Bible. This argument for instance is correct for the New Testament after Jesus was crucified but incorrect for the Old Testament.

There are 39 books in the Old Testament and 27 in the New Testament. You seem to be weak on the Old Testament. That is well over half of the Bible.

Hmmm! I don't think so. Anyone who after claiming to understand Jesus Christ's teaching and example and yet believes the remaining laws and commandments are not to be obeyed is more of a legalist than those so-called judaizers being seen everywhere because they have no fonfidence in Christ's Gospel.

They say under the law, under the law, not realizing being like Jesus Christ is simple obdience.

Even in a loving family the parents usually have somekind of rules to refer to, though onceunderstood they need not be referenced.

I am afraid those who have no understanding of the law, its wisdom and understanding given, are spreading really bad press on it.

Anyone with sense when reading the Books of Moses knows Jesus Christ has fulfilled the lion's portion of all of those laws leaving only laws on morality (like the parents give there children) still in effect. We who know the law and are under grace rarely need reference them because it is on our hearts, just as when we obey our parents in this age.

This simple understanding escapes the intellectual who is destroying himself by what is falsely called knowledge, but it is the Way in Jesus Christ under grace for the obedient children..

As for the laws of sacrifice, they are fulfilled as pertaining to sin in Jesus Christ. The only sacrifice left for us is giving thanks.

I keep maintaining that the law is still in effect. I don't understand your post very well in relation to that.

1. Paul stated he wouldn't know what sin was without the law.
2. Sin is defined as transgression of the law.
3. Jesus died for our sins.
Therefore the law must be in effect.

Jesus stated the following about the law thus proving it is still in effect.

Mathew 5:17 to 20 NIV

The Fulfillment of the Law
17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. 18 For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. 19 Therefore anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. 20 For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.

Does Jesus fulfill your not stealing? Your coveting? Your not loving your enemy and praying for his salvation ?

These laws are on our hears established by faith......

If you think this is believing most of th laws are not fulfilled by Jesus christ and these remining types are abolished, you do not know Jesus, you are just a religious person.

Just in case, since people like to change around what others post at times, if a person weakens in any of the remaining rules of behavior, an he or she loves the Lord, Jesus Christ, his the guilt of his transgression is never held against him for he lives in grace, though obedient.

Davide understood this when he penned Psalm 32.. for any hair-splitters, pened here is an expression. Boy do we have to be on our guard.

Nev er teach the law is abolished, it is fulflled inJesus Christ as prophesied.

I did not argue anything, but simply gave a Scripture, which you seem to not understand at all. The first response you gave to it started by saying: God required animal sacrifices to provide a temporary covering of sins. "Covering" is not "taking away." You are like so many others that read into what is not there. I would suggest you stop doing that. It not only messes up your theology, but your psychology.
