i believe paul was speaking of kindness and other gifts of the spirit, that are exhibited be even the people that you would less expect it from.
And when a person sees such, to be reminded where such gifts are from.

Hmmm, it seems he says they do this "by nature" or naturally. Apparently people are capable of honoring their father or mother, not lying, having some moral restraint, and other things without having to be Jewish. Then Paul makes a conclusion of all this in chapter 3 where he is heading in his argument.

I'm not sure of any that hold to your view that I've read or heard.

But what would Paul's point be? These are then born again? You say these are gifts of the spirit, so I ask. Is this what you are saying, they are saved people?

Only saying that every Good gift is from our Father of lights.
And is something i am thankful for everyday.

I believe paul was pointing out that we should nurture the younger generations with recognition of the goodness that is expressed in everyone.

Ive only ever read, sons and daughters, mountains and hills.
near and far.
Yes or no.

Hope this is helpful.

But that is written to believers, not the world at large. There is a context you know?

That is not the intent or meaning of that text though. I asked you, are you saying those in Romans 2 are saved?

Ive only ever read sons and daughters, mountains and hills.
near and far.
Yes or no is good.

I am not sure what you mean by that, sir.

Salvation is the free Gift offered, and is to be told to everyone.
The rest is between the person and the Lord.

And yes im fully aware of the context.
And there are warnings about a certain set of eyes.
We are to be an example to those around us,. And each circumstance in relationships with others is going to be different.

104 responses you probably know what TULIP is, but I will add my thoughts anyhoo............

TULIP is one of the most (if not THE MOST) dangerous false theologies poisoning the Church today in my opinion.

Thankfully, its only your opinion. ;) :p

I'm still trying to find a well-studied anti-cal or Arminian. I've met exactly zero who ever argue from context of Scripture.

I heard that R C Sproul listed great Reformed Theologians on a chalkboard, then went to list some great well studied Arminians (anti-Cals) and paused. There are and were none to list...wish I could find that video. :D

This link looks interesting though: https://comingintheclouds.org/about-protestant/denominations/famous-calvinists/

The lost don't possess gifts of the Spirit.

At the 107 mark he begins to confuse biblical predestination with fatalistic determinism, which is what islam believes. Christians do not believe in an impersonal fate, but we have an all knowing perfect God who has determined whatsoever comes to pass for His own Glory and grace...

at 121...he misuses the biblical teaching of predestination in exactly the way I described...it is used 5 times in the bible, and it is speaking of us being conformed to Jesus Image.

This makes no sense, if Islam believed in fatalistic determination, then they could not get people to commit suicide, because their fate was already determined, Commiting suicide in the name of Allah would not help you.

Fatalism is a belief that the end is already determined, there is nothing anyone can do about it, Which is what double predestination pretty much teaches.

As for predestination, it is more than just be4ing conformed to its image, it is also the basis for election for and for justification. You can not have one without the other

Absolutely sanctimonious.

This is not boldness just complete unwillingness to see beyond bias. But you already knew this. lol

I would not say it is the most dangerous. I think Arminianism is more dangerous. And Catholicism is even more dangerous. But it does go up there because of what it says about God. But I consider them my brothers and sisters all the same.

Salvation is the free Gift offered, and is to be told to everyone.

You're still not dealing with the subject matter of our discussion. Your reply has absolutely nothing to do with your post and my response, you've gone into another subject altogether and make pretense to have answered and proven that you're correct. You are not following sir.

Here is what you said:

Only saying that every Good gift is from our Father of lights.

Here is my answer to that:

But that is written to believers, not the world at large. There is a context you know?

That is not the intent or meaning of that text though. I asked you, are you saying those in Romans 2 are saved?

I am not sure what you mean by that, sir.

Then you answered with a completely different subject altogether.

My point is you had taken a passage out of context from James, and applied it to everyone.

It is only written to and for believers, not the world at large.

So then you go into the subject of preaching the Gospel to all the world -- that's not the same subject of our discussion. Do you follow? You were not following along, yet answer as if you proved your point when it is a different subject matter altogether.

For the record, since you brought it up, of course the Gospel is to be preached to everyone; 2 Timothy 2:8-10. That was never denied nor was it the subject matter we were discussing.

He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.

Salvation is not merely an offer, but a promise.

"She will bear a Son; and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.”[Matthew 1:21]

'Will save' comes from the Greek word 'sozo' which means to save one from the penalty of sin. These that the Christ died for, He will save from the penalty of sin.

Salvation is not merely an offer, but a promise.
According to Scripture, it is both an offer and a promise, so there is no need to distort the truth.

OFFER (Rev 22:17)
And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

PROMISE (Rom 10:11,13; Acts 16:31)
For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed... For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

One could quote dozens of verses which reveal either of these aspects.
