Awesome counsel and Psalm!
I'm going to oppose that prediction of the destruction of America, even though I just posted a long, drawn-out summary of preparedness, confirmed by the Russian church leader of the world's likely end-times are near.
I believe all these calls to preparedness are good, as they help people focus on always being ready, and are a witness to the world that God is real, Jesus is His Son, and He will return someday, likely sooner than later.
But, having agreed with the ongoing warnings of preparedness, I want to take a step back and look at things from a different angle. I believe the LORD led me to these verses as another way to look at the spiritual state of the world. I felt that I received a warning about Mt. St. Helen's, and through earthquakes. So, I looked it up, and there appears to be no seismic action going on. What about looking at it from a spiritual angle like Jesus did? About faith moving mountains.
"Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” (Matthew 17:20--NIV)
And, ""He looketh on the earth, and it trembleth: he toucheth the hills, and they smoke." (Psalm 104:32-KJV)
So, if we look at Mt. St. Helens, that is an example of what can happen spirituallyif we have the faith to move mountains. So, the warning I believe that I received implied that a significant event might happen in January, but of an unknown year. When I asked God to destroy my perceived enemies with a massive earthquake (keep in mind that there are problems with asking God to destroy a city in which you yourself live), and earthquake did happen, because I believed it would and there were signs from God that it would. But, I had almost immediately, downgraded my prayer to a lessor warning in which no one would have to die, to direct attention to the Bible, and prayed for an earthquake "large enough to warn people, but not too small that it would have no impact." The earthquake that occurred was a 7.1 quake, one of the largest since the 1964 9.2 quake here in Alaska. So, my mercy towards my enemies, also possibly spared me as well.
So, faith can LITERALLY move mountains!! How amazing!! What an awesome reminder of God's POWER!!
At the time, I was organizing an observance for Dr. Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., who is honored in January.
FAITH MOVING MOUNTAINS OF RACISM AND RELIGIOUS HATREDS
So, why not pray for a dramatic sign of the power of God's love, and not His judgment in 2018??
Faith to move mountains of racism and hatreds between people's over religion??
Let's see Mt. St. Helen's happen!!
But, in a good way!!
Ask God to remove some mountains in your life in 2018--
