Thanks, people who are sad, sick, and lonely have enough problems without being told they are just not thinking positively. I watched something rather sad on a Christian channel once. This lady had a bulletin board of things she was going to “name and claim”. One was a big mansion, one was a sports car, one was a buff man, one was a closet full of clothes. She absolutely believed that all she had to do was believe she would get these things and God would honor her positive thoughts. It was shocking to me that Christians believe this, but it was on TBN and the Crouches were no slouches when it came to living “abundantly”.

I think they forgot about that part in I John 5:14: "If we ask anything according to His will, He hears us." :rolleyes:

And of course, the will of God is that we be sanctified in Him. That we avoid sexual immorality, don’t defraud (have an advantage over, be superior to) others, work & mind our own business, love one another, and live honestly. In other words, God wants us Christ-like so the world will be drawn to Him, not our carnal man. (I Thess 4)
 
If you do find "the one" and fall in love DO NOT TAKE ANYTHING FOR GRANTED.
Never be complacent and assume that love conquers all. Love is like a flower. It needs water and fertilizer to grow. It needs sunlight. Keep love in the dark and it will fade.
In my own experience it is important to never forget that your blessings come from God. Do not reject His blessings. Nurture them and treasure them.
It took me more than 30 years to meet "the one" and I was blessed to enjoy 10 of the best years of my life before I lost her. It was definitely worth the wait. God only sends the best.

When it's the right time for you and him.
I was engaged once. Thought it was right.
God told me it wasn't.

After much heartache and pain and guilt I broke it off.

That had consequences afterward when trying to form a relationship.

When I met my wife after a short while before we got married I dumped her.
Won't go into why and how we got back together.

God said to me, this is your wife. God says to my wife, this is your husband (this was during the time I dumped her, she does like you bring it up every now and then:cool:)

I have now been married to the most amazing woman in the world for 24 years.

To be honest it's better to be single that sucks rather than being in a marriage that sucks.

Trust me, it almost happened to me.

How much fertilizer did you have to spread, and how bad did it smell?

I meant the fertilizer part. Some people find it condescending. Like Judge Judy says “Don’t pee on my leg and tell me it’s raining!” Fertilizer insults the intelligence.
