Hello Brother Jackson,

No answer? It is ok my friend, I did not think you would answer those questions. You do not need to answer them if you do not wish to. Maybe you can pray about those questions and ask God at home.

......................

God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) If we knowingly break it when God asks us not to we stand guilty before God of committing sin (James 2:8-12). If we do not seek him in repentance and forgiveness we are in danger of the Judgement (Hebrews 10:26-27)

There is not one scripture in ALL of God's WORD that says God's 4th commandment is now ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to worship God on Sunday in it's place.

Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has lead many to break the commandments of God. Jesus says that if we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)

i'm not changing anything. you demand that people answer your questions, it is fair that you answer some.

not everything can be answered by " Sabbath ' . Sabbath is not the center of the universe. Christ is.

anything on ellen white? support? denounce? indifference?

Ellen White didn't create the Sabbath for men. Jesus did. So you don't have to worry about rejecting White's words, when you mock the Sabbath Jesus created for you, you mock Jesus, not White.

Well that is not true at all. No one answers my questions as you can see recently with Jackson, MMD and so many others here. Yet everyone expects me to answer everything which I am normally happy to do by God's Grace. As to me I think nothing, I only pont all to the Word of God because it is only in the Word of God that anyone can find Jesus. If your wanting to change the subject of the OP however, go start another thread. This thread is on Col 2 the Sabbath and God's LAW, do you have something to share?

re: "...you demand that people answer your questions..."

Actually, LGF isn't necessarily demanding an answer: LGF says in post #2621 "No answer? It is ok my friend...You do not need to answer them if you do not wish to."

ANOTHER cut and paste job.

The commandments were given to Israel. They are part of the Old Covenant.

NOWHERE in the New Testament was the fourth commandment urged as part of the New Covenant.

When Jesus gave His commandments He never included the fourth.
Exactly what is this New Covenant? The Old Testament and New Testament are man's terminology for separating the books of the bible from before the birth of Jesus until after His birth. The books themselves, chapters, and verses were also organized by man so as to make it more readable and easier to follow. There is only one Word of God.

Jesus said that the commandments could summed up and followed if you love your neighbor as yourself, He did not say that they were obsolete. The forth commandment states to 'remember it'. Nowhere in the bible does it now say to forget about it. The commandments are the law and without the law there would be no knowledge of sin. It states that also in the bible. Are you saying that sin is obsolete too?

We are not saved by following the law or by works but only in the faith that Jesus died for our sins. The bible does says that we are to repent of our sins but that is part of the salvation process. We can't ask for forgiveness of sins if we are unwilling to repent of them, so without forgiveness of sin and Jesus paying the penalty for our sins salvation is impossible. This requires faith that Jesus did indeed save us from the penalty of sin.

Any works performed are a manifestation of our faith but do not in themselves save us, only Jesus dying on the cross makes that possible. The reason Jesus died for us is because He loves us. God is love. It says that in the bible too.

All denominations were established by man, including the SDA. Ellen White was only one of hundreds who played a part in forming the various practices and doctrines which may or not be biblical and spiritually guided.

LoveGodForever,
re: "Romans 14 is in reference to the annual Jewish Festivals..."

I don't see how you get that from the context of the chapter.

gb9,
re: "
Sabbath is not the center of the universe."

But it is the center of this topic.
From my own experiences I find that the Sabbath is a hard thing to grasp and to apply to ones life. I believe that a lot of people don't fully understand the Sabbath or find that following it would inconvenience them.

From my understanding of the bible I would say that only Jesus dying on the cross for our sins makes salvation possible and not strictly following the guidelines that were established for Israel as stated in the Old Testament. That does not make the Sabbath obsolete however. In the book of Isaiah it says "Come now, let us reason together...". Line upon line, precept upon precept, a little here, a little there.

No one is spiritually perfect but all should strive to become spiritually perfect. This is a life long process. It does also say that each day is an acceptable day to worship our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, whether it's Saturday or Sunday or any other day of the week.

You will not go to hell if you don't strictly follow the Sabbath but I believe that it is imperative to make an effort to understand what it really means and to make an attempt to apply it in your life as part of your lifelong spiritual growth in your life's journey.

I cannot say what exactly you have to do to follow the Sabbath but do agree that a lot of the instruction given to the Jews is probably not applicable in our time.

Perhaps not; it's just that Colossians 2:14-17 doesn't say anything about it.

To me Paul say It is OK to say every day alike.
Then you need to learn to read because you are twisting Paul's words ! Paul distinctly says that ''some men/people do this....he is NOT saying it is ok do do that. HE was not doing that and we are to follow Him as he followed Christ...who kept the sabbath!
Seems you are just determined to have your own way and actually enjoy being a law-breaker...violater in your own word.
We have spent hours, days and weeks trying to be patient with you, compassionate, loving, caring as required in the New Covenant - yet you almost demand being killed as stated in the Old...WHY ???
WE are not going to kill you because that is not NT teaching...but GOD might /will if you don't stop this nonsense !!!

I am not stranger of covenant with Israel, but I do not believe sabbath law apply for In new covenant.
'Loving God and neighbour IS the NC...the law written on our hearts. What other law is scripture talking about ???
please explain what OTHER law God is writing on our hearts ? and the 10 INCLUDE the 7th day SABBATH that Jesus Christ our Savior is LORD of ! All New Covenant !
Wherefore the law is holy
and the Commandment holy and just and good...it is also spiritual and eternal...now applied and observed IN LOVE !

In Leviticus 23, God has set apart 9 days in addition to the Weekly Sabbath in which He desires to meet with His people.

While, as I understand it, none of them are incumbent upon the Church all are of equal importance with the Sabbath and all are profitable IMO in understanding why Jesus did certain things at certain times during His earthly ministry.

Abib 14 Passover
Abib 15 1st Day Unleavened Bread [Levitical Sabbath]
1st day of week (Sunday) following Passover Firstfruits (of barly harvest) Resurrection Sunday
Abib 21 7th Day Unleavened Bread [Levitical Sabbath]
Sivan 6 Shavout Pentecoct [Levitical Sabbath] Firstfruits of wheat harvest Holy Spirit Given to Church
Ethanim 1 Yom t'ruah Day of trumpets [Levitical Sabbath]
Ethanim 10 Yom Kipur Day of Atonement [Levitical Sabbath]
Ethanim 15 1st day Sukkot [Levitical Sabbath] Jesus born 5 B.C.
Ethanim 23 8th day Sukkot [Levitical Sabbath] Jesus circumcised and presented at temple.

2 Chronicles 31:3

The contribution of the king from his own possessions was for the burnt offerings: the burnt offerings of morning and evening, and the burnt offerings for the Sabbaths, the new moons, and the appointed feasts, as it is written in the Law of the LORD.

Not one jot or tittle. The Law is all one Law.
Christ crucified is the only answer, the contribution of The King

No. The Mosaic Law is not God's law. Moses is not God.

Just one example, God never did command us to stone to death women caught in adultery.
At Sinai the people were afraid to hear God directly. They asked for a mediator.

Who told Moses what to command them?
If anyone thinks Moses made all this up himself that person is either calling scripture lies, or is simply ignorant of what it plainly says.
