Why waste that much time? Your time table is way too long.
Perhaps I was being tentative?

This is why I think Vegas has it right.
Definitely, that's why we got married on Las Vegas boulevard. Won some money in the casino's too. Didn't see Elvis.
That's faith. Your faith and trust just inspired me. I am sure you are on the right way.
I don't know, if I should post a threat about faith or share some thoughts on that here.
Well, I believe your way of dwelling in Christ, waiting on him and trusting on him deserves some extra words.
As we know Apostle Peter was in several occasions hot tempered and of little faith.
Like in Galatians 2, when the jews came he stopped taking invitations to eat with gentiles.
In matthew 14 When he saw the wind and waves he was afraid and cried out to Jesus: save me.
In John 21, he tries on his own efforts to catch a fish. And even as an experienced fisherman he has no success. Until Jesus joined and showed him where to fish.
The same goes when Malchus came to arrest Jesus, he - Peter - once faced his enemy jumped up and attacked Malchus.
And after Jesus was arrested, he lost three times his trust in him and turned his back on him.
In short: whenever challenges showed up, the faith of Peter got little.

But I also would like to mention what Jesus talked to Kathalee. Let's not question if that encounter is real or not. That should not be the question now.
Kathaleen NDE 690
"I said, will I ever find a person you meant for me to be with? He said yes and he'd be wonderful. He'd send him when I was ready. He was already here for me but I was to get all my troubles straightened out first so as not to put them all on him! Laughing I said well he better be cute and he said you two will find each other irresistible."
In Isaiah 30:15 God says:
15 For thus saith the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength:

That is pointed out through the whole bible.
To be still and know, have faith, that He is God.
Erika McKenzie died and had an encounter with God. God talked her, that we can ask for gifts. But in order to receive them, we have to be quiet. (Let's now not question the account)

"Be still" (Woman of little faith) He said to Shirley Brown, that found out that everytime she got unpatiened and doubtful about if God will work for her - she made it worse. (Let's not question that account)
The bible says, an doubtful man is like a wave tossed by the sea. Unstable in all his ways and will receive nothing.

And to follow His Laws - so He said it to Yvonne Sklar. (Let's not question the account. That should be not the question).

The bible is clear. If we abide in him and ask according to His will, He hears us.
And you do that so well. You trust in Him, believe in Him, wait on Him. I just had to let you know that. "That's faith." by John Piper.

God doesn't always tell someone to be patient, there comes a time when He tells you to act or forget about the whole thing.
I don't think God tells people a whole lot, except what is written in the bible.
You 2.......
Yes and when that time comes, I will act on it but for now he’s still telling me to be patient and wait.
But, as I’ve started praying about, asking God if he wants me to talk to this guy about what’s going on in my head, or, does he just want me to continue to be patient and not say anything to him yet. I know he’ll lead me in the right way when the time comes but, I’m not sure how I’ll know when God will want me to speak to him unless maybe I’ll just know??
Got married on Thanksgiving Day 2014 at the Hilton on the strip. For witnesses we had two bellhops and a maid. My wife arranged for a local minster from her denomination to marry us beforehand.
I think I would want an Elivis impersonator to officiate my wedding.

Im for it!! I'd be upset if I were met with a conversation to do just the opposite! I have no interest in a traditional wedding.
That should be why asking him shouldn't be that hard. We tell friends everything anyway, so ask. What makes it so tough is that we have been friends for several years before all this started. That’s what is making asking him extremely difficult.
Why wouldn't you ask BFF or BF? If we wait for God to tell us when to talk to friend or BF, it's a really quiet relationship, and one that won't last long, because why? We never say anything when we're together anyway. lolOf course I want to know his purpose.
For now, I believe God has a purpose for me and this guy. God has told me quite a bit over the last several years and some of the things have happened as he said. The others haven’t happened yet but I know God is working as he continues to tell me to be patient and wait. That is another reason why idk if I should talk to him or not. Several months ago, I was building up my confidence to talk to him, but as I was walking down his driveway the one day, God audibly told me, don’t talk to him. Just wait. So, I swallowed up what I was feeling and wanting to say, and I didn’t speak to him.
Fast forward several months and I have the same feelings. I’m not going to speak to him unless God leads me to do so this time. I’m asking him for a very clear answer so I know whether to talk to him or not and that’s what I need
Yup. Married to my BFF for 37 years now. Inevitably it won't work out.Never ever date a friend.. It inevitably won't work out, and just turns awkward..
Ask them. I can guarantee they'll tell you how it worked out. They talked. They asked what they had to asked and told what they needed the other to know. And, in between those two things, they talked about everything else too. lolI know several people who’ve married their best friend and it has worked out great. Even my uncle. Before he started dating my aunt, they were just friends for a long time and he had told me a year ago that the easiest decision to make is to date your best friend bc you already know them, you trust each other and it’s a lot less scary to tell them something bc you know they already love you.
So, dating a friend can be awkward at first but once you get over the awkwardness of it, it’s good.
Look at my parents, they were friends for 8 years before they started dating and they dated 9 yrs before they got married. Were there some problems in their relationship? Of course but they worked through it and now they’ve been married for 39 years now.
