And how exactly is gay marriage going to stop it being sacred? You deem homosexuals as so evil, why don't you deem God as the most holy, and anything sacred will always be sacred, to those who see the sacredness of God, and how much more powerful he is than anything you focus on being so evil and having so much power. God has all the power.

We know that in the Word the church is referred to as the bride and Jesus is the groom. Im astonished that Christians, some, cannot see how sacred marriage is.

I just don't understand why a minority of heterosexual people, mainly of religious belief, see homosexuals as homosexuals and not people. That is the brunt of their mind set and they don't see it as homophobia. I say they are a minority, because God is the majority.
B. Do you feel gay marriage is morally wrong? (very specific)
Again my morals define that I believe in heterosexuality, man marrying a woman. Gay marriage doesn't affect me, and if it is morally right to the two getting married, then that is their moral. Why must I concern myself with morals of something I would not do? I don't have a big nose, sticking it into other peoples business.
G. How do Christians feel changes in marriage laws will affect society? (very specific)
It won't really change much at all, things will just be a bit more inclusive. That's a positive. It doesn't mean homosexuality is going to come into fashion, it just means anyone who is homosexual doesn't have to feel fear and isolation, from those who judge them and want them to burn in hell.
How naïve can you be?
Same-sex marriage will change everything.
For the agenda is not just about equal opportunity for homosexual
couples in a relationship, but to radically change Western society for
the worse.
From promoting transgender and homosexual choices in kindergartens
to confusing children in schools through the same sexual politics of
gender fluidity and encouraging homosexual emotions and sex.

Things will be a bit more inclusive!!
How dumb, sorry naïve, can you be?
Most Christians do not want to burn homosexuals in hell,
God will do that himself.
We are trying to save them from hell., by telling them and other
sinners that they need to repent and embrace the gospel of
salvation.
That is our responsibility to love others.

A. Do you feel homosexuality is morally wrong? (very specific)
As a heterosexual my moral is that I am heterosexual, that is morally right to me. Homosexuals have no influence or power over my morals, like some seem to think they have magic powers. God has all the power.

What is morally right for you, is morally right for others. You shouldn't think something that isn't ok for you, is ok for others to do. That is how you are supposed to think and function, but you liberals have segmented, detached, and deluded yourselves into what I think has to be a mental illness at this point, because you aren't getting the natural response to an abomination.

My marriage will be as sacred as me and my wife make it.

We don't allow gay marriage because it's keeping to sinners locked in a sinful lifestyle with government and social approval. It's like legalizing drugs and prostitution.

And I do think it's bad for the kids growing up to see abominations socially accepted, and then come to accept it like you have. You were easily influenced and damaged by the world like future generations will be. This is why we should strive to keep things "sacred", not just in our own lives, but in the world so that others can find it.

I'm going to be kind, but also direct here. I don't appreciate you putting words in my mouth. I did not say "homosexuals are so evil" I said they are in bondage to sin,and that sin is an abomination according to what God says, not what I say.But in the NT homosexuals are listed at one point as "you were some of these" basically.I've had Christians say to me that homosexuals cannot be saved, and I've told them they are wrong, according to the Bible. Now they must repent and change their lifestyle, but God is more than able to save. So you don't get to pin me as someone who hates homosexuals,I never said that, but God does call it an abomination,so it is a serious sin. But no where have I said to hate anyone. I have a friend that has become a transsexual, sweetheart of a guy, like a brother to me,but I cannot ok his lifestyle choice. So when people like you and a few others here put words in my mouth after a while its time to say enough is enough. What you're saying is false. Now I know to you, throwing out "you're an evil homophobe" wins the argument in your mind but you are lying and Im asking you nicely to stop.

In this we agree,God has all the power. As far as the rest of your comment I'll repost, since apparently no one saw it,Ravi Zacharias and his opinion of homosexuality and how it should be dealt with. I agree with his POV.

I first came across Ravi Zacharias more than twenty years
ago by listening to his radio ministry on public community radio.
He wasn't as 'famous' back then but he was just as brilliant
and spoke to the subject matter with intensity and depth.

I know one gay person. I think they are normal people so should be accepted, but that does not mean that they should have all possible rights regarding family.

Liberals, can you tell me what "accepted" means to you?

Does accept mean we shouldn't stone them to death?

Or

Does it mean we should accept their behavior as equal to that of a heterosexual person?

If it's the first choice, everyone here on this forum that I've seen "accepts" homosexuals, and we don't want to kill them. We just reject their sins and will truthfully tell them our opinions on the matter if the subject arises.

If it's the second choice, we can't do that as it is not true and we are not instructed to. Even if we know one, two, or three gay people, we can't exercise personal judgement on the matter and overrule what is plainly written. An abomination is an abomination for eternity, the NT doesn't change that.

We all accept them as a human being, and I DON"T UNDERSTAND WHY "ACCEPT" IS REPEATED OVER AND OVER.

Do you see people here saying we should kick them out of society or kill them? Then why are you declaring they should be accepted as human beings? I think this mentality comes from people who don't have the spine to challenge political correctness, so instead you just pretend the behavior is ok for other people to do, and then live in a bubble free of responsibility as all hell breaks loose on earth.

"accept". If you using this word to say we shouldn't kill or punish, stop doing that because it's a ridiculous thing to say when no one is even hinting at doing so. If you are saying we should actually allow the behavior and think of it as ok, then you are wrong. There is no reason to ever use "accept" in regards to homosexuality. Get over the posters and talking points you have learned from the media.

Sorry, you might be right and I do not have thought this as carefully as you. I agree that their behaviors are not the same as heterosexual...

Liberals, can you tell me what "accepted" means to you?

I think this is a critical point.

This is why Ravi Zacharias, in the above video, spent 10 minutes explaining 3 different paradigms for viewing and defining the issue.

A lot of misunderstanding hinges on the equivocation of many vague words like "acceptance."

As soon as we coax apart, and parse out, the subtleties, and carefully say what we really mean... the confusion falls away and the arguments fall into place.

And you've been saying this in the last few posts and I think you've nailed the issue. Thats why I posted what Ravi said on the subject. People are accusing one another willy-nilly on this huge subject. As with most posts it goes far afield of the subject matter and way into the weeds. The next thing the pitchforks and torches are out. It really is ridiculous.

What happens if we replace the word homosexual with drunkard, or any other sin for that matter?

Would you "accept" for a drunk to have an equal right to drive a vehicle?

Accept them for their vice and give them "equal" rights to drive a car? Regardless of their "lifestyle"?

If they are pissed 24/7 it's a way of life ain't it?

I say we let them drive, accept their lifestyle. Yeah.

Do you see how how stupid it sounds when we say "accept" gays and their lifestyle?

Right, its annoying when I see posting saying we're picking on one sin.My uncle was a life long alcoholic,he died because of it. I loved him so much, but I didn't agree with his drinking,he knew that, and he knew he needed to be saved. Did I love him any less? Of course not. But because I loved him I told him the truth. On his deathbed he received the Lord as his Savior and I know he is in heaven today.Preach the truth in love.

18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to
preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted,
to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind,
to set at liberty them that are bruised,
19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. [Leviticus 25:]
20 And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down.
And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him.
Luke 4:

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has chosen me to bring good news
to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight
to the blind, to set free the oppressed
Luke 4:18 GNB

Many a thief, a drunkard, a violent person, a drug addict, a used car salesman,
a gambler, a fornicator, a witch, etc, etc, etc, has come to the Lord through
repentance and submitted to the gospel.

But the alphabet population - LGBQITQP they keep adding to their ranks like
a Roman legion - are not repentant: they are defiant.
Not only do they want to live openly and brazenly with their various festivals
and mardi gras but they also want to pervert our children to their way of life.

Further they use legislation and all the forces of public authorities and media
to stamp compliance on their agenda. Legislating against so-called hate speech,
shutting down free speech and opposition to their agenda.
Political correctness is the new State sanctioned State religion that the
un-Godly want to replace Christianity with.

Homosexuality has always been an abomination and still is.
And homosexual [note how they can't say that word] marriage
is definitely a sin that leads to death.

First gay capital is San Francisco and then there is
Sydney Australia
where the Sydney gay and lesbian mardi gras is so infamous
that it is now broadcast on national TV.

When was the last time any society had a public parade and
celebration for being mums and dads and for family life.

The recent vote in Australia for same-sex marriage was won
by public sympathy for homosexual men and women either
directly because of family and friendships, and also by the
positive promotion of homosexuals in the media.

The Bible calls them directly fools and blind.
They have no fear of God nor his judgments.

It ain't nothing like being straight.
That is offensive.
I think it's offensive to think some people are lesser because of which gender the consenting adult is that they sleep with.

What do you think being gay is like? Do they not just wake up and go to work like the rest of us? Do you think there's a mandatory 8AM teleconference about the homosexual agenda or something?

Sorry you are very wrong.

Is a child better off with their true mother and father
or with some artificial substitute arrangement that denies
them this?
Are two men in a bedroom the equivalent of the love and
procreation of a man and a woman?
Is sinful behaviour better than righteous behaviour?

Even in Darwinian evolution homosexuality is a biological
deadend street having no value to the survival of the species.
So where does this sin come from?
It ain't DNA or biology; for in Darwinian evolution only the DNA
changes beneficial for the survival of a species are passed on.

it is a spiritual wickedness arising from free will - a corruption
of our original selves made in the image of God:

And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us,
to know good and evil:
and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat,
and live for ever:
Genesis 3:22 KJV
