It says they already made the "covenant with death" - nothing to do with thousands of years later..

I've even heard crazy talk about God having the Jews raising Red Heifers so they can build a temple and start the Sacrifice System again.

I believe they have already found one.

The Red Heifer was an important sacrifice because it purified people of their ritualistic sins. The Red Heifer was led to the Mt. of Olives slaughtered, burned to ashes mixed with pure spring water and the defiled person was sprinkled with it so they could re-enter the Temple, Hebrews 9:13,14

The fact is the true mountain of God is the only place since 70 AD that true worship takes place:

Our birth place started in Israel.... Christianity....how any born again believer could shrug this off and say it's none of our concern are really limited in there understanding.

Well, if you read the 19th chapter of Numbers you will see that the Red heifer was sacrificed in the day of Moses.

NO...the Bible tells us the temple was NOT built on a hill top... Also water ran through it. If on the TM then it would be too High... The old city of David lies to the south of the Temple Mount. The temple rest deep below and a little west of the Al-aqsa Masq.

The water was the Gihon Spring.

A place only becomes "holy ground" when God's Presence is there, otherwise it is simply what it is: a bit of ground or empty building and so forth! Exodus 3v5, Joshua 5v15

I am no scholar of islam but I think that muslims believe that to be the place where mohhamed ascended into Heaven.

They believe that but it is a lie. Jerusalem is not even mentioned in The Unholy Koran.
The place of the 'ascension' (that word should give you a clue to the true nature of "The Prophet" of Islam) is said to have been at place called "The farthest mosque". It's a chapter in The Koran called The Night Journey.

At the time this verse was "revealed" [about 622AD] Jerusalem was not in the hands of Muslims and there was no Mosque at all in this place (not even a church). The Dome of the Rock and the Al Aqsa Mosque only began to be built 53 years after the death of the false prophet Muhammad.
