There is also rill, creek, loch, ria, swamp, waterfall, moat, sea, channel, inlet, cove, lagoon, brook, delta, estuary, strait, fjord, rivulet, gulf, narrows, port, rapids, puddle, reservoir, tide pool, wash, surf, bayou, oasis, ravine, spring, billabongs, geyser, gully, harbor, sound, slough, arroyo, shoal, firth, basin... I think I have run dry... lake, ocean, tributary, river, canal, stream, pond or bay.
(i know a surprising amount of names for bodies of water)
