so does that mean you would or you wouldn't ?The Bible specifically says not to.
so does that mean you would or you wouldn't ?
Nope. Nada. No way. Het!would you marry someone who hasn't been saved .. ?
It's not just for the kid's sake. How do I trust him, if he doesn't trust the Lord? How can he guide me, if he doesn't trust the Lord? How can he protect me? How can I take care of him? How do I guide him? How do I encourage him? What in the world is the base for our marriage? Nothing!Nope. I have put many thoughts into this. One of the biggest is, if you have kids. You teach your kids about God and Christ and salvation. While their own parent is not saved. Essentially hell bound. How do you explain to a child that you purposefully married someone, their parent, knowing they would go to hell?
That's just one of many thoughts I think about on the subject.
It is a foolish idea.
But he would. Guaranteed! He already has by saying he won't follow the Lord.I would if that person doesn't restrict me and hold me back from my walk with God
That would depend on whether or not God told me to...would you marry someone who hasn't been saved .. ?
But ... do we know the unsaved person's lifestyle is clubbing/boozing/apostate, or are we just assuming.Um let’s see, one person wants to go to church on Sunday, the other wants to
lie in bed.
One person wants to go clubbing, the other wants to go to the prayer meeting.
One person wants their children to go to Sunday school, the other tells them there is no God.
One wants to go to the christmas carol service the other wants to go celebrating with friends.
One wants to have a prayer time and bible study most days, the other wants to chill out and
watch TV.
When trouble comes one wants to pray as a couple and take it to God, seek answers from
God. The other says don’t be daft, God doesn’t exist.
Do you see the problem.
But he would. Guaranteed! He already has by saying he won't follow the Lord.
It's like tiptoeing on eggshells determined not to break any. It canNOT stand the stress! Those eggshells will break and you will be faulted.
As it's already been said, it depends on the person. However, these verses may help.
1 Cor. 7:12-14
12 But to the rest speak I, not the Lord: If any brother hath a wife that believeth not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away.
13 And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him.
14 For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy.
And
2nd Cor. 6:14
14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
