It was for Israel in a mental way. Remember them standing to hear the Word of the Lord, and they all answered, all these words we will do? A compliant heart within, but not always faithful to it.

A new creation man or woman is Spirit, interwoven with the seed of Jesus, Word- sperma, producing the divine image- Sons.

This is my passion. Sonship. But, is not the threads topic.
Good to Know, I will refrain from making it a topic then.

1 John 1:5-10 Walking in the Light This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. IF WE CLAIM to have fellowship with him YET WALK IN THE DARKNESS, we lie and do not live by the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin. If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word has no place in our lives.

Matthew 5:14-16 “You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your GOOD DEEDS and praise your Father in heaven.
The above post, which had NOTHING to do with my post proves that you have gone to seed on a working for dogma and at every turn will do nothing more than try to prove your invalid points.....how about use your head, lose the dogma and address my post with something that is applicable.....for the record....you can post verses ALL the day long out of context to try and prove a self help guru working for dogma and neither you or your false buddies will change my mind that salvation is based entirely upon faith dia grace and that said salvation is eternal based upon the applied blood and imputed righteousness of Christ.

Now as to the times and the epochs, brethren, you have no need of anything to be written to you. For you yourselves know full well that the day of the Lord will come just like a thief in the night. While they are saying, "Peace and safety!" then destruction will come upon them suddenly like labor pains upon a woman with child, and they will not escape.
But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.

That's not what Jesus says.

"As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me."-John 15:4

Don't you now do things you could not do before? Or are you the same as you were before Christ?
The answer to this is not what has been done, but who is "in Him". Only being in the body, a member functioning in the "part" He has placed us, and working or moving in unity with Him is abiding. Then fruit of our "being- be ing" in Him appears.

Just like the proverbial apple tree.

One of many verses that point to the Day of the Lord, before the wrath of God is unleashed truth.
Amen.....my belief....the following are one day and it commences at the 7th trump of Revelation and in the order given....

a. Day of Lord commences when Jesus seizes earthly control of ALL kingdoms on the earth
b. Day of Christ commences as he rewards the prophets, saints and all who fear him young and old in the sky
c. Day of God commences as Jesus pours out his wrath on the planet after a and b

Jesus is LORD, CHRIST and GOD and in one day ALL three commence (at the 7th and final trump is my view)

Our lives show if we have been justified by faith in Jesus apart from works. No change of life indicates no justification by faith has occurred.

Dead faith can not save because it shows we have not been justified by faith apart from works.

WRONG Emphasis:

James 2:14-18 (NIV)
[SUP]14 [/SUP] What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him?
[SUP]15 [/SUP] Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food.
[SUP]16 [/SUP] If one of you says to him, "Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed," but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it?
[SUP]17 [/SUP] In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.
[SUP]18 [/SUP] But someone will say, "You have faith; I have deeds." Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by what I do.

THE EMPHASIS IS NOT DEEDS, IT IS LOVE.

JUST TO SHOW YOU, THAT YOU HAVE MISINTERPRETED THOSE VERSES, HERE IS GOD'S PARALLEL VERSES:

1 John 3:15-21 (NKJV)
[SUP]15 [/SUP] Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.
[SUP]16 [/SUP] By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
[SUP]17 [/SUP] But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him?
[SUP]18 [/SUP] My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.
[SUP]19 [/SUP] And by this we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before Him.
[SUP]20 [/SUP] For if our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and knows all things.
[SUP]21 [/SUP] Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward God.

Romans 5:5-10 (NKJV)
[SUP]5 [/SUP] Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
[SUP]6 [/SUP] For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
[SUP]7 [/SUP] For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die.
[SUP]8 [/SUP] But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
[SUP]9 [/SUP] Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.
[SUP]10 [/SUP] For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.

Now that should be simple enough that EVEN YOU can understand that YOU have TOTALLY misunderstood JAMES. We were Reconciled to GOD while we were STILL ENEMIES, therefore James is talking about HOW we are to know that the the HOLY SPIRIT is IN OUR HEARTS, and HOW THE LOVE FOR OTHERS, MANIFESTS THAT GOD'S LOVE IN OUR HEARTS, WILL MEET THE NEEDS OF OTHERS. NO BROTHERLY LOVE, MEANS YOU DO NOT HAVE THE HOLY SPIRIT IN YOU.

1. Rapture of the Church, the body of Christ - Judgment Seat of Christ, rewards and loss of rewards
2. Tribulation
3. Second Advent of Jesus, Judgment of nations - those who assisted Israel will be separated from the goats
4. Millennial Reign of Christ
5. Great White Throne Judgment of all those outside the body of Christ, Old and New Testament
This is interesting. Am going to look..

Short end of the stick.....

Every word is inspired and profitable 2nd Timothy 3:16-17

An interesting fact.....

There are over 1500 prophecies of Christ' return in the bible....for every O.T. reference there are 8 N.T. references.....

My personal view....it is in the bible and Jesus seen fit to give us the above and states that every word is profitable....yes it can be mind boggling and a difficult row to hoe if you will, but without a doubt it was given for us to study and understand.....in all fairness I will say that I had the imminent return crammed down my throat as a kid, believed it and dogmatically defended it.....then I started studying without influence and preconceived ideals......I have changed my mind and have written a book on the subject found in my blog on this site.....I do not believe in the imminent return, but rather post great tribulation/pre-wrath ingathering of the saints.....That is all I will say and I will not argue with anyone....the clues are there, the verbiage is clear and honesty is a must if one wants to understand..........just saying.....
I am aware of the prophecies in the OT.

Can you post me the link to your blog please.
Just remember I'm the man who struggles with Romans 7, to which you replied.
Then if memory serves me, I said "Yeh I get that"
Then a few days later I said "I don't get it"
Oh dear, this is what you are working with:cool:

[SUP]31 [/SUP]“But when the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, then He will sit on His glorious throne. [SUP]32 [/SUP]All the nations will be gathered before Him; and He will separate them from one another, as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats; [SUP]33 [/SUP]and He will put the sheep on His right, and the goats on the left.
[SUP]34 [/SUP]“Then the King will say to those on His right, ‘Come, you who are blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. [SUP]35 [/SUP]For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in; [SUP]36 [/SUP]naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me.’ [SUP]37 [/SUP]Then the righteous will answer Him, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry, and feed You, or thirsty, and give You something to drink? [SUP]38 [/SUP]And when did we see You a stranger, and invite You in, or naked, and clothe You? [SUP]39 [/SUP]When did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ [SUP]40 [/SUP]The King will answer and say to them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me.’[SUP] 41 [/SUP]“Then He will also say to those on His left, ‘Depart from Me, accursed ones, into the eternal fire which has been prepared for the devil and his angels; [SUP]42 [/SUP]for I was hungry, and you gave Me nothing to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me nothing to drink; [SUP]43 [/SUP]I was a stranger, and you did not invite Me in; naked, and you did not clothe Me; sick, and in prison, and you did not visit Me.’ [SUP]44 [/SUP]Then they themselves also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not take care of You?’ [SUP]45 [/SUP]Then He will answer them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’ [SUP]46 [/SUP]These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

If this is the GWT judgement and no believers are at this judgement why does the King separate them into 2 different groups and tell us that one group goes into eternal punishment and the other group goes into eternal life?
New International Version 1984 1 Corinthians 5:9-13 I have written you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people— not at all meaning the people of this world who are immoral, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters. In that case you would have to leave this world. But now I am writing you that you must not associate with anyone who calls himself a brother but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or a slanderer, a drunkard or a swindler. With such a man do not even eat. What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside? God will judge those outside. “Expel the wicked man from among you.”
