People blame alcohol for the fact they cheated, why?

I agree. Being drunk is no excuse for bad behavior seeing as it is, in itself, bad behavior.

Ok . Still alcohol will not put ideas in a person's head. The thought is there sober or drunk . The drinking to the point of drunkenes is just another character defect , and not the reason for the sinful behavior.

Huh.... I never wanted to do a whole lot while drinking, except enjoy the buzz.
 
There is no excuse whatsoever for cheating on a spouse. A spouse that loves the other will not even think about cheating let alone actually do it. Alcohol has nothing to do with it.

Their unwillingness to accept responsibility for their own actions!

Then there's the girl who met her friends at the bar and promptly ordered three beers.
"Three all at once?"
"Yeah, you girls have been here a good half hour already. I got some catching up to do. It's no fun being the only sober person at a table full of drunks."


Also, Desdichado you can add another one to that list - the bored drunk. I tried drinking for a year, for research purposes, and it was boring every time. The only thing it ever did for me was get in the way of reality, and I like reality.
 
Oh yeah, none of what I said actually replied to the TOPIC of this thread...

Doesn't the Bible say something about if you drink to get drunk, your tongue will start running off on strange vectors? In fact it specifically says to not go to the house of God drunk, lest you say something you really shouldn't say and get in trouble.

I believe the Bible also says something about falling for the wrong kind of woman when you're drinking.
 
I believe drinking has to be done moderately. I like drinking, but I don't ever get drunk, that's a no go. But I enjoy listening to music, being with friends, reading etc. along with a little glass of Tennessee Whiskey...or some wine.
