why .. if we all love one man, follow Him, cherish Him, love Him, are there so many debates and arguments about His word? Are we not all in the same boat so to speak? Cant we all love Him and cherish His word together?
Read the Gospel of John with a different bent this time. Notice how many times crowds followed Jesus, and then with just a simple one or two liner, crowds left Jesus.why .. if we all love one man, follow Him, cherish Him, love Him, are there so many debates and arguments about His word? nope, that's not what I'm saying. you are all so quick to jump and judge others on here, I've read it myself and it has really surprised me, to me, that isn't Christian like, like who are we and who are you to make assumptions. yes talk about your differences but argue over what we treasure, this will never make sense to me.If you would look more carefully through the entirety of "the word", you would find that Christ's followers have always had the responsibility, and duty, to "contend for the faith", and debate sound doctrine.
Christ even did this.
He often argued and debated with the scribes and pharisees, about how to "interpret" various passages of the word.
So if Christ himself had to reason, argue, and debate... and you want to be a follower of Christ... maybe you need to rethink your duties.

Hmm I don't know about that, from my calculations Jesus outwitted them everytime that they spoke ill of him when teaching or going about his way or business so really I think it was "no competition"!Jesus himself battled Pharisees. Why would it be any different now?
