I said I'm a natural born citizen. I'm not obligated to tell you anything (including my being a natural born citizen). I don't have to show you my papers...

True.

You aren't obligated to please us by telling us anything.

But we are also not obligated to please you in any particular way.

We can continue to demand you explain your country of origin,
or we can ignore you completely and act as if you don't exist,
or we can debate every point you make about everything you say,
or we can act in any other way we please.

We aren't obligated to act in any particular way either.

Glad we've cleared this up.

Alright, fair enough, fruitful discussion it is......since you want to have a fruitful discussion, then enlighten me of where you are from. And it's ok, I'm not afraid to tell you where i'm from. I'm from Alabama, born and raised. And what you keep in the dark, trust me, the Lord knows in the light. So let's chat.
Sweet. Perhaps you can go back a couple pages and respond [fruitfully] to the post you quoted? Just so we are finally going to talk about substantive issues, we should both understand that "fruitful discussion" doesn't mean "disclose personal information." Having said that, I was born in the US as well.

Did you disagree with my opinion about how Democrats attack Trump more than Republicans did Obama? (That was the post you quoted.)

Pretty much. I just think people will notice when a poster habitually engages in non-fruitful discussion though. But you're entirely correct, no obligation on either side.

So while we're all being so chatty, why the German flag?

- Did you grow up in Germany?
- Do you just happen to like Germany?
- Are you a neo nazi?
- Are you a big Hitler fan, and thus your name?

Since you're being all chatty, I'd love to know why you have a German flag and use a name that sounds like Adolf Hitler.

We get so few neo nazis around here... this could be a very exciting day for all of us.

No i don't disagree that the Democrats attack Trump much more than the Republicans did on Obama. But Obama's health care plan had to be passed before it was even looked at, that was fishy, and that was his plan, and it crumbled our already failing health care system. But it's a constant barrage from the left that Trump colluded with Russia, which you never even heard a word of this until just before the election, when everyone saw Trump was a credible threat to take the White House. It goes on both sides, but it's well documented to how low the Democrats will stoop to maintain what little power they have and lore it over people, not just anyone, hard working caring patriots and Americans

I agree. But it's why I also agree with Ricky's posts about how Republicans tried to repeal and replace in phases... The wanted to do it in 3 phases, passing one before even knowing what the other 2 are. Just like with the ACA, there was no way everyone read what was in it before it was passed. Many Republicans didn't/don't care though, and they would repeal and replace without knowing what is even in it.

The establishment Republicans did push for a 3 part repeal, but the reason they pushed it was a direct correlation to Obama's tactics, but this was to get the foot in the door to shut down Obama care before it choked out the nation.....it never got passed legislation

Thankfully it didn't. Not that I want to keep the ACA, but it would be the very definition of insanity. I had a family member who was going to be charged around $4,000 because he wasn't on any insurance. Thankfully Trump removed that mandate and got rid of that illegal (in my opinion) charge for not having insurance.

Let's just hope that the next time (if there is a next time), they (and we) all know what's IN it before passing it.

I explicitly stated I am a natural born citizen, there was no "implied" meaning. Furthermore, can you please answer how where you were born or where I was born is relevant to the substantive points I made in the post MichaelOwens quoted? If I was born on Mars and say, "Most Democrats believe in abortion which is against the word of God!"... does my legitimate point somehow become de-legitimized because I was born on Mars? It suddenly alleviates the Democrats of responsibility for their anti-God stance on abortion?
No, the place of birth of birth, nationality or country you live in has no relevance to the substantive points. Perhaps MichaelOwens was trying to understand your thought process on this topic since you are German and he is American. Then you implied that maybe your not German or live in Germany despite the flag listed above your screen name. Regardless, I don't mean to offend you and will gracefully bow out of this current line of discussion.

Well hopefully and prayerfully there will be no next time. We saw what Obamacare can and still does to our nation. I go to church with a man who was on Obamacare because it was all he could afford and he was paying 1200 dollars a month for a family of 4 when ACA was first enacted. Fast forward 6 years later, and the man was paying nearly 3000 dollars a month....that's just criminal, and this is a man who served in the United States Army for over 10 years

WHY do you put a big German flag on your profile, and then take a name that sounds like Adolf Hitler, and go around starting big arguments everywhere.... but when asked about your flag and your name, you suddenly can't speak?

Why is that?

If you're a neo nazi we'd all love to hear about it.

We get so few nazis around here... this could be a very exciting day for all of us.

Obamacare. It has it's flaws and if you want to replace it replace it - but you don't do so by pulling the rug out from under millions of people and then say we'll install some linoleum at a later date. You HAVE to have something shovel-ready to replace it before you take it away. Trump promised day 1 he'd have that very thing - but to date he hasn't offered anything tangible. And no that giveaway to the rich his congressional buddies floated was not tangible or shovel-ready.

Just like he offered to drain the swamp - then stocked it with the worst of the creatures from the black lagoon. I just can't for the life of me see how so many people have bought into their cool-aid - totally oblivious to what these very people did to the world in 2008. it wasn't. that. long. ago! The myopia of the masses just astounds me! Scares me too... The antichrist spirit is just marching people on both sides into a corner and they're so polarized they are blind to see it. And even worse, convinced it's not happening to them.

And to be honest, me and Hipster aren't going to do anything that will change that. We can ring the alarm but hey if ya don't wanna be rescued I'm not going to force you. Couldn't any how.

And yes, let us never forget that, above all else,

I completely agree brother. I've not been one to shy from giving the devil his due when he deserves it (Obama and Trump for example), but Trump did promise on day 1 he'd have something lined up to repeal and replace the ACA. When Democrats pressed him on specifics, he was more vague. When he was elected and the Republicans tried to pull a fast one by passing stuff no one has any idea what will be in it, they still didn't offer a comprehensive health care replacement. To this day even... He has removed the mandate, thankfully... so I'll give him that, but it does nothing to the root and spirit of his promise.

Well considering the Democratic Party supports abortion and same sex marriages and just about everything under the sun that our Father in heaven condemns....I think that speaks for itself...
So there you go. You're just mad because it's Trump they aren't sucking up to. It has nothing to do with respect and everything to do with tribalism.

Perhaps the Republicans didn't want to stand and applaud Obama's SOTU because the man did not promote Christian values and principals. It says a lot about the Democrats who refuse to even acknowledge the brave men and women who serve in the armed forces defending and protecting the Constitution of the United States.
The GOP has blocked countless bills to fund treatment for vets, the VA Hospital, 9/11 rescue workers and servicemen in gerneral. Why are they better? "We will let you die in the streets but thanks for your service!".

Did you actually *read* the ACLU declaration, or you just read the title of conservative tribune?
I am really amazed of how superficial this discussion is.

Here is the ACLU's actual statement:

Tonight, President Trump said the word ‘America’ more than 80 times in his speech. Yet, after a divisive first year, we hear and feel how exclusionary that ‘America’ is, with policies that have harmed so many vulnerable American communities. The ACLU stands ready to protect these communities, both in the courts and at the polls.
In particular, the immigration plan put forth by Trump would hold Dreamers hostage to his demands for a harmful border wall and an even larger mass deportation force. We are at this crossroads because of the President’s deeply destructive ideas fomented by his nativist allies and divisive rhetoric. We will continue to stand up for these young immigrants and ensure they continue to contribute to our country. We cannot let America’s Dreamers be deported.

It really is frightening how lazy people are when it comes to fact checking.

Here is the ACLU's actual statement:
Tonight, President Trump said the word ‘America’ more than 80 times in his speech.
As is perfectly evident from the rest of what the ACLU said, this was meant to be a complaint and a criticism.
Yet, after a divisive first year, we hear and feel how exclusionary that ‘America’ is, with policies that have harmed so many vulnerable American communities.
And pray tell who made it a divisive first year? We could certainly include the ACLU, but the Democrats, the Left-Liberals, the Communists, the Anarchists, Black Lives Matter, etc. George Soros, and other depraved billionaires spent MILLIONS OF DOLLARS to create chaos, divisions, destruction of public property, assaults on innocents, and daily insults on Trump. They also spent millions of dollars to help Hillary win and also corrupted the media networks to become apologists for her, and because she was rejected, they resorted to anarchistic tactics. Does ACLU really care about civil liberties, or do they undermine them? ACLU is one of the most subversive groups in America.
This is typical Left-Liberal nonsense, but the real agenda is to destroy America and create anarchy.
