Sorry I wasn't clear I meant holding on by a thread as in I'm about to give up on such a thing as true love being in existence. Maybe I'm expending my energy in the wrong way but at times I think that to be effective in Christ you need to understand where you personally stand on this issue. That is, Jesus wants us to be fishers of men yet not understanding your position on love can work against you.

I purport that distracting yourself just can lead you astray as you might inhabit a spirit of avoidance. Which is very dangerous in many aspects.

I guess I have completely lost the plot
 
I got strong through the storms. I've been at this a while and I used to cry all the injustices of the world to God....heck I still do. Talk about grappling....listen if it was easy to surrender your will life would be a cakewalk.....sacrifice is supposed take something valuable out of you.....Jesus didn't want to die on the cross when the rubber met the road but he managed to see it God's way in the end....if he struggled well then we are in good company.
