People often say "heaven" to denote the new earth.

To OP:

As for animals existing on the new earth, there is no reason whatsoever to
believe they will not. They have the same breath of life that animates us. :)
No I don't think a lot of people do, I think they say heaven as being with God in his abode.

God comes down from heaven to dwell with us on the new earth. Rev 21:

Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,” for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea.

[SUP]2 [/SUP]I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband.

[SUP]3 [/SUP]And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God.

[SUP]4 [/SUP]‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

God created animals. He created cute kittens and puppies and all kinds of beautiful creatures. If we think animals are precious, God thinks more so because He created them in the first place. The Lord created everything for His own pleasure. If God takes pleasure in beautiful animals, and we His children also love them, why wouldn't God make room for them in heaven? I think it's absolutely ridiculous to think God isn't mighty enough to bring our pets into heaven. Of course God can! He can do anything and NOTHING is impossible with Him. \:D/ Animals are precious creatures to the Lord!!

Great work.

Animals will not go to heaven.I know some people do not want to believe that but they were not created to be part of the afterlife, and the saints have no need for animal interaction whether as a pet for companionship,or for work.

There is no need for animals in heaven, and heaven was not designed for them but only on this earth.

The only beings that will be in heaven are beings that have a connection to God,and fellowship with Him,not animals that have a connection to people.

Ecc 12:7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

Ecc 3:20 All go unto one place; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again.
Ecc 3:21 Who knoweth the spirit of man that goeth upward, and the spirit of the beast that goeth downward to the earth?

All spirits of humans go upward back to God who gave them, and all animal spirits go downward, and the flesh of humans and animals will return to the dust, and animals are not given a soul,or a glorified body,so the animals have no part of them left to be in heaven, where a human has a soul, and will receive a glorified body.

Joh 14:2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
Joh 14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

Isa 65:17 For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.

2Pe 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
2Pe 3:11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
2Pe 3:12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
2Pe 3:13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

Rev 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
Rev 21:2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
Rev 21:3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
Rev 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
Rev 21:5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

The earth and heaven shall be dissolved, and pass away, and God will create a new heaven, and a new earth, where sin has never been and sin will never be,and the former earth and heaven will not be remembered, nor come to mind, for it is associated with sin and rebellion, and for the saints to know of something that was of earth would mean they would know of the sin and rebellion there which God does not want them to know about that.

When the saints and angels are at the New Jerusalem, the new earth and heaven, they will remember nothing prior to that, and will feel as if they have always been there and nowhere else, and they will not even remember who their relatives and friends are if they are in heaven.

If animals were in heaven they would not know they were their animals, for they will not remember the earth, nor will it come to their mind.

There is no need for animals to be in heaven for God did not design heaven to be for them, but are only for this earth.

Will the trees, and plant life, and fish, and all things alive on earth be in heaven, but there is no sea in the new earth for there to be fish, and sea life.

But they will still argue about it God bless their hearts for they love their pets, and animals in general.

Keep it up Bella.*wink*.
Anyway, animals were not created the same way as man. Animals were made from nothing, i.e they were spoken into existence. Man was made from something and God directly breathed life into man, its that same life that is going back to God . . . . or not.

How about snakes? D serpent cursed by God. Will that go to Heaven ?

Maybe creation will be remade anew, animals and all.

Romans 8:22-24 (NIV)
22 We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. 23 Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption to sonship, the redemption of our bodies. 24 For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have?

It has always been my understanding that anything that possesses life, fauna or flora, has the Breath of our Father until it is taken back.

He takes His breath back to Himself. I like to believe my little one a slightly crazy Jack Russell, is kept going by our Father.

She is new-to-me about ten months, and about a year since my other adopted JR passed on. It still break our hearts to lose them., but I believe they are gifts directly from the Father, as is everything.

God bless you and your little ones always..........
