Nice try, but no where in those posts did I deny God is able to heal anyone. Saying God may not chose to heal all people at all times is not denying God has the power to heal anyone.

so now you are also a deceiver. Way to go buddy.
you plainly stated paul is dead, a physical dead i presume by your meaning.
yet i do not recall reading of pauls physical death in the scriptures.

Do you?

what IS in question is not God's words, but rather what some people make of them

Isaiah 53 refers to Jesus dying for our sins...he did not die to heal people

He healed people BEFORE His death

folks gotta learn to read and comprehend and stop confusing faith with presumption
I have yet to see any progress in this area. Folks see what they want to see and nothing else. A great text of the suffering Savior and all folks can see is their own physical healing.

I have come to the conclusion it is the 'golden calf' healing

they made it up with verses pulled from context and gilded it with presumption with a dash of seeking a sign and a hint of fear

For the readers,

Those who scoff against the Healing Power of the Almighty are the Furthest from Grace.

They have neither sought the Lord wholly nor answered the door when the Lord asked for a place to rest his head.

I have given a testimony earlier in this very thread on how i was healed by the Lord wholly. Growing up with a life debilitating respiratory illness there was very little joy in life for me.
Even so i remained faithful and encouraged till the time came that i could run without hindrance.
I was ready to die a few times when fighting off sickness, yet the Lord said otherwise and at the Lords Will death flees.

Just as those soldiers fell to the ground in realization of their own powerlessness. I imagine they had been raised and taught by temple priest and pharisees that they were invincible with their crafty metal armor and weaponry. I believe the Poor souls were not so much to blame. Rather they were decieved for lack of knowledge. Because it was the very king david that once stood there in the face of an enemy dressed much like themselves. And that enemy boasted only for a moment before the stone struck its forehead and sealed its fate with a single blow.
No, the preist and teachers of the law were responsible for the soldiers, and they were Judged by the Righteousness of the Lord.
For the readers of such I am one.

I'm assuming you think that anyone who disagrees with you concerning healing are the furthest from grace.

Let me tell you who are the furthest from grace, the ones you say have not sought the Lord wholly not answered the door when the Lord asked for a place to rest his head.

Those people are those who reject the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross for forgiveness of sins in order to be reconciled to the Father.

Those are the people furthest from grace.

The following is from Christianity Today.

Popular evangelist Nabeel Qureshi, who once sought Allah, has now found Jesus face to face.
He died of stomach cancer on Saturday.
The 34 year old convert from Islam was an itinerant speaker with Ravi Zacharias International Ministries, until his diagnosis last summer.
He spent months in aggressive treatment, including the removal of his stomach, all the while praying for a miracle to heal him.

He died last September at the age of 34 leaving behind a wife and a daughter.

He was preaching the Gospel up until he could no longer.

That does not sound like a man who is furthest from Grace.

I said above whom I feel and know are furthest from grace.

I would add another category. Belivers who pevert grace and then condemn them.
One simple example being this thread, and your post.
I have known many people who have died yet right up to they did they sought healing.

Then people like you come along and say what you did and accuse them and say they did not have faith.

You say "yet the Lord said otherwise and at the Lords Will death flees"

Jesus prays.

Matthew 26:39

39 He went a little farther and fell on His face, and prayed, saying, “O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will.”

I love your testimony and how God has healed you. I truly do.
Use to bring glory to God and not condemnation of others.

Compare Isaiah 53 with 1 Peter 2:24: "...who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed".

The context then is clearly spiritual healing, so forgiveness of our sins, the inner change, as a result of Jesus' sacrifice for us. "By His stripes we are healed"

It would be worrying to suggest this is referring to physical healing also, because all this will do is lead a believer to doubt their salvation when they don't get a physical healing, if they're taught it's guaranteed by the cross.

God does still heal, but it's according to His will and His timing, and not a guarantee for everyone either. Even Paul was denied healing....

2 Cor 12:7-10: "And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure. Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong"
To add to my post...

About 7 years ago I was driving along a desolate highway really late in the evening. There were no petrol stations or nearby towns. I then had a medical emergency and was in a state of panic because the symptoms were the final stage, so I was at the point of no return and needed medical help. I was a backsliding christian and so I then prayed for the first time in about 15 years for Him to help me, and then He took it away instantly!! My issue was severe dehydration, which I have had before and I know the warning signs and also if I get to that point of no return I know I need an IV because drinking water takes too long to get to my system, and at some point you're unable to even drink water because your body rejects it. I tell you this, because when He healed me, the cup ran over!!! I would've been happy with even a third of a cup, lol, but He gave me more than I was expecting, because when I got to a town I was full and so I drank anyway but knew I didn't really need to, because He had taken it all away!! As it happens, this is what brought me back to Him :)

But despite that I do have a thorn in the flesh which He will not heal. Either the answer is no, or it's just not His timing right now, so I accept this, and despite the thorn I do still have some joy. Healing would be so easy for Him yet He sees the bigger picture that we're missing. We know how removing of a thorn would benefit us, but what about the negative consequences, because God can see them. I know no-one really thinks about possible negatives because the focus is always on how it would benefit us. In Paul's case, his sufferings kept him humble. And how might sufferings help others, especially non believers that look on and see your joy regardless, and wonder what you have that they don't. Just some food for thought.

Where indeed,

Paul i imagine as a fairly educated person who went out and fought with the beast and overcame. And at the cost of his own flesh.
His concern was always for others first. Even when admonished for doing so.

When I started this thread, I posted that I knew there were two doctrines concerning the atonement. I didn't know why until I researched. It seems to come mostly through Pentecostal Christians but not solely.

Why? Because of the definition of one with God. It depends on what we see in this word. Also defining ressurection life.

I looked at Pauls words in the Greek concerning the latter. It's to stand up again from death. Even in this will come a division of understanding.

I also said I see atonement and communion as the one experience of receiving all that we need from the Lord. That we have returned to the garden and can receive the benefits of complete provision now, and then later...Paradise.

Thats my faith based asked on what I see from study. Not any mans opinions.

Faith is in the blood of Jesus. Blood is the life of men. His blood is heavenly, from another place than this earthly realm. And if discerned...will bring life to our body. Eternal, pure without disease, and powerful to set us free from the adamic human nature we are born into.

So the question to us all, is what do we see.

He was admonished for putting others over himself? Thats funny, Jesus was admonished by his disciples for not doing this.

Seems Paul lived a life with Jesus as his example.

But again, Where is he if he has not died? or the rest of them?

I see the messiah of God has come and made atonement for my sins, and I have been given eternal life

Now my Goal is to seek out and love others and put their needs above my own. And take whatever God allows to happen in my life, and not complain but be a light to the world. a representative of his. Knowing one day, I will get that new body, Where there is no tears, no pain, no suffering, no sickness and no death. But that has not happened yet, and will not until we are ressurected.

Blurring the line between the physical and the Spiritual is not following the leading of the Holy Spirit.

Christ suffered and we too will suffer if we are to reign with Him in eternity.

Hey, 7 and EG,

I have been a long time knowing you are my sister and brother but I've also spent a long time thinking neither of you walked well yet by the Spirit because you seemed so...abrupt and mean to me.

I understand now. I really get it that I was the more immature one and that you were the more mature. I get it. I understand now that contending for the faith is warfare and that polite manners, while good, are not always a sign of maturity but are rather a sign of having a desire to be accepted and approved by men and a sign of being well socialized.

Polite manners don't work with leaven overdose or wolves or Satan.

I didn't understand but I do now and...I'm sorry I thought you both were mean when you were displaying ferocious love for young ones.

A man once said if someone is one or two steps ahead of us spiritually we admire them but if they are more steps ahead than that we will think evil of them at worst or think them deluded at best.

It is still good to have people hold us accountable for when we do go over the line. Thanks..
