I acknowledge the truth that I am double minded and thus cannot do the miracles the Lord states they who do believe in Him will do.
How about yourself; are you claiming to be singularly minded in the Lord, and thus able to do the healings and miracles that accompany they who do believe in the Lord?
Ah, so it is Man's strength of mind.

And how about not lying about what I said before?

Where do you get strength of mind from John 14:12?
While faith may produce a strength of mind; faith, however, comes from reading the Word of God.

When I claim being double minded, and thereby not able to do the miracles the Lord claims they who believe in Him will do, I am acknowledging the Word of God, and thereby telling the truth.
They on the other hand who claim themselves single minded, but are unable to do the healings and miracles the Lord claims they who believe in Him will do, are in effect denying the Word of God, and thereby lying.

One of them wanted to know if you were transgender cuz you said "still woman, but no lady"

For a new comer who reads these posts that would be a valid question davida., especially in today's society. Depleted's profile on each post says she is a woman but not a lady. Kids reading over mom's shoulder as she is reading the posts here would see that and wonder. Lot's of people see the many posts and silly arguments and name calling going when other Christians don't agree with some here about healing. Makes perfect sense that that kids would laugh at this silliness from adult Christian people.

Even when Christians call for some reasonableness and maturity ., it's ignored. The OP of this thread and those who agree do not like to be told there are other believers who believe in healing in the atonement. But you guys need to get used to the fact that not everyone is going to agree with your Bible interpretations. From healing to speaking in tongues to Paul's thorn in the flesh to Abraham's bosom. To many other topics. You guys need to learn how to discuss issues with civility.

Jumping up and down having hissy fits doesn't a discussion make.

Or you can try to ban everyone who disagree with you. It's really up to you how you want to spend your time here.

umm. no Joannie. Her posts were intended to hurt a person. There was no Scriptural disagreement. And I reported them both for that reason.

Also, let's hear YOU say that YOU might be wrong about all this stuff. You have been pretty good at saying others are wrong. Does that same standard apply to you?

PennEd., I disagree with you on some issues and give my own reasons and my own beliefs and I do it with civility. That is what adult discussion is about. I don't get offended if you or others have another way of seeing a topic in the Bible like healing.

But you are offended by me because I believe differently than you do. I don't say you are hurtful or mean to me personally for believing as you do. That is your business and your walk. I have my own faith and I don't try to make you see my way or go the highway.

And I've observed the same from the other Christians here who agree to disagree. Many here on CC believe in healing in the atonement and have tried to share like Ben., Lancalot., Stonesoffire., and some of the others like Davida

I think Davida is new here but she also has not been mean that I've seen or offensive. I think she and her kids are just sort of shocked as any normal person would be at the behavior of many Adults here who name call and are offended and have the hissy fits. If my kids were still teenagers I'm SURE they would laugh hilariously at the nonsense that goes on here at times too. Adults acting like children is not becoming.

Well...I don't think God was the CAUSE of the man getting hooked on drugs...do you?
See here? I was disagreeing with Lynn and agreeing more with another poster. Will Lynn come in and mock me for it? No, she won't. We will have discussion, not anger. Even though we disagree.

The reason people strive against your WOF pamphleting is because it causes harm. I watched the video you posted for stones to watch by a man named hagin. It was quite awful. I strive against teaching that can harm and that isn't biblical.

Lynn can have a sharp tongue when she is protecting young ones. She also knows how to apologize when she has jumped the gun. She apologized to magenta just recently, so I've seen her do it. She KNOWS she can have a sharp tongue and that she isn't perfect. But she is always going to strive against unbiblical teaching because she has seen the damage it does. We all have.

Defending the faith is not nonsense. Crying wolf when you see a wolf is not nonsense. Strongly disagreeing with teaching that stunts spiritual growth is not nonsense.

Well WE are NOT saying you don't have faith! You can't see how that IS offensive!?

And all the rest is fine and good, but you didn't answer the question. Do you admit that YOU might be wrong on this healing in the atonement and prosperity gospel stuff in general?

And I'm sorry, but it IS completely disingenuous to see that woman's post in any other way but an attempt to hurt someone, not even arguing about Scripture. Just to purely hurt someone.

joaniemarie likes this.

oh you like that do you joanie?

you should think about that with all your talk of your loving changed life

you know, it gives me pleasure to come on here and say this to you...but why do you take delight in someone trying to hurt someone else?

I wish they came up with a better word, because he's not reforming, he's deforming.

what better word?

you just created it

really...very good word for their performance Christianity

so called Christian tarot cards, telling people to prophesy by just using your imagination and the SOZO prayer, using regression methods that actual doctors have disavowed because of the harm it does and the false memories it generates

yeah

you can't make that stuff up

Bill Johnson doesn't teach kids how to use tarot cards for ministry. This is what I'm talking about when I say that people are spreading misinformation. Somebody loosely associated with Bethel created cards that looked similar to tarot cards that they handed to people involved in the New Age in an effort to share the gospel. Now you might question that approach, but this is not something that Bethel Church or Bill Johnson are doing.
https://www.facebook.com/kvministries/posts/10155320301218741

you need to do some research

they are set up in the lobby of the church and set their guns mostly on new people

I started a thread on it some time back and the NAT supporters got in a tiff of how dare I and I wasn't being loving

I love God and I love Him for setting me free of this kind of demonic junk...before it got this awful

here is the op I wrote back in December '17 ...quite a read

Called “Destiny Reading Cards,” charismatics – some associated with Bethel Church in Redding, California – are engaging in what is essentially tarot card reading.

They call it a “reading” and refer to the program as “Christalignment.” They don’t do “predictions,” but they will help empower your destiny rather than control it. Using what is essentially tarot cards, they do a “reading” about relations, jobs and issues to help people “make better decisions in the future.”

article

so it seems anything goes Bethel is at it again

just when you think you have heard it all.....:(

read it all here
