Here's where I draw the line:
Is it sin? Are the ways I celebrate the holiday a sin? Am I giving praise and worship to something other than God? Or am I spreading God's love as I go about the events during this day? Are the events sinful? If not, then who are you to tell me I can or cannot? Do I not also have the Holy Spirit dwelling within me? If I am actively seeking Him, will he neglect to inform and convict me of my wrongs? If He does not convict me, who are you to do so? Are your ways higher than His? Unless you can explicitly show that celebrating a holiday is a sin, then this falls under personal conviction.
Signed, the girl who just celebrated Purim and can't wait to celebrate Pi Day here in 11 days. Because God created math. And everything that goes into pie. And we will be sharing His goodness with children and unsuspecting adults. I'm already planning my Pie-bys - closely related to the drive-by, but where you deposit sweet pies on peoples porches, ring the doorbell, and run.
(If you read any of this in an argumentative tone, please re-read it in a more "eh," nonchalant way. I'm too tired to be angry. Lol)

Actually, would you believe he did? I forget the exact wording so I can't use esword to find the verses, but there was one feast day that God told them to set aside provisions for, and he specifically said it was a day for them to enjoy themselves. I wish I could remember at least one key word from it, because I thought it was so neat that God knows the importance of occasionally having a good time.

Again, very frustrated I can't post my own photos on here. I got bored with the usual cut patterns on top of pies, so I started doing pie-art. Got some pictures and can't post them.
BUT, if I were making a pie for March 17th, it would have to have a shamrock on it, even if it is Pi Day, not Pie Day. lol

I believe you are thinking of the Jubile/Jubilee a celebration every 50 years it's in one of the books of Moses,it was treated as a "whole year" Sabbath.
Birthdays are vile. The older I get, the more vile they become. Lullz.

Yes, the concept of what constitutes fun is often a gray area subject to intense scrutiny and extreme concise interpretation of a particular bible verse that points out the evil of your ways.

That must make me a heathen or a follower of pagan practices such as the dying of eggs for Easter and biting off the ears on a chocolate bunny. Currently, I'm trending towards marshmallow peeps.
Perhaps someone can light a candle for me and say a prayer to put me on the right path. Of course,, what would be the fun in that?

1.The passover(representation of when Israel was protected from the last plague of death of the first borns in Egypts from God)
2.Golden wall festival(Nebuchadnezzar's celebration concerning his kingdom with a variety of melodies of instruments and everyone bowing to the Gold wall he built after Daniel informed that his kingdom would grow and that was why God sent him such strange dreams)
and to the Op the bible is God's word "every single scripture" is "important" not just the "New Testament" to ignore the old testament is to ignore why Salvation was needed through Jesus in the first place as well as to ignore all that God did before our Saviour Jesus blessed so many "further".

I think you are talking about the Feast of Booths (or Tabernacles) in Lev. 23:33-44. The Israelites were to keep a third tithe of all their increase and have a big party for eight straight days consuming that tithe. They were to include widows, orphans the poor and the Levites (priests). The Bible says that we will keep this holiday in the millennium (Zec. 14:16-19).

No, it wasn't the feast of tabernacles. Man, I wish I could remember what it was! I remember the Bible says God specifically said the purpose of this holiday was for them to enjoy themselves. But I can't remember the exact wording of any of it.
