Okay, this is how this works:

To post in this thread you have to be from the Lone Star State. If you're not, your posts will be frown upon.

The OP is the boss of this thread, and everything the OP says is correct. Y'all are wrong all the time:p.

Let's see if power corrupts:p.

LOL

I'm not here to post, I'm just making a public observation. :p

If the only people allowed to post here have to be from Texas, and none of the other Texi-manians (or was that, Texi-maniacs ;)) feel like posting, poor Susanna might wind up sitting alone in a thread just talking to herself.

Don't worry, Susanna. I've been there many times. :)

And I'm still perfectly normal.
And I'm still perfectly normal.
And I'm still perfectly...

Well, anyway. No disrespect at all meant to Texas--I was there once for a couple of days, does that count? I have to admit, I have never seen so much homegrown state pride in all my life. After all, where else could I buy Texas-shaped muffin pans, Texas-shaped cheese boards, and Texas-shaped oven mitts??? (Yes, for some reason, found myself trapped in the baking aisle of a store in Texas. That right there sounds like the makings of a good country Western song...)

I would love to go back.

And with all that scrumptious Southern food to enjoy, when I eventually come back, I just might be the size of Texas.

Some of us proud Texicans don't spend much time in the "singles" forum.... being "doubles" and all that....

but, I bestow on thee, Seoulsearch, the title of "honorary Texican".... along with all the rights and responsibilities thereof.

Feel free to come visit anytime... or just come and stay. You'll be saying "I'm fixin to go to the store..." in no time at all.

You can postpone the dipping of Skoal or Copenhagen as long as you wish... it's not a requirement.... :)

My wife had a collie named Tex growing up. Does that count? If not I'm ready to endure my punishment!

Let the frowns and shame commence!

I drove through Texas last week...and I just gotta ask...

What. Are y’all. So excited about down there? :p

...to be fair, we only went through the most northern part, and while it wasn’t much to write home about, I’m sure there are prettier parts of the state. That don’t smell like cow poo.

It's close enough. You'll just have to endure a minor frown:p.

I'm no more lonely than the star in our flag...lol...uh...I'm going off the handle now, right?

My oldest sister lives in Texas...

I have never been there, though I did go to visit her for a month during the five years she lived on Grand Cayman Island. That was in 1979. You were still in diapers then :D

Three years old Texans are eligible for jury duty.

Well, credit cards are issued to cats. Maybe even dogs, too. Though it is a known fact that cats have a higher correlation of intelligence compared to human age-intelligence than dogs do (three year old for cats, two year old for dogs). Perhaps dogs are disqualified on those grounds :)

Just to let ya all know how small Texas is

my home state of South Australia is
almost the same size as Egypt,
one and a half times bigger than Texas,
and five times the size of the UK.

Sorry folks
