GODS SPIRIT IS GRIEVED BY SIN

God's Spirit is the Spirit of truth. He comes to all those that are in sin and those that BELIEVE and FOLLOW God's WORD.

To those who are in SIN he comes to convict of the truth. But not all will hear him and by rejecting God's Word we can grieve him so that you will no longer hear him.

To those who BELIEVE and FOLLOW God's WORD he lives IN them and testifies of God's WORD.

................

There are of course conditions for receiving God's Spirit....

We must BELIEVE and FOLLOW God's WORD. What does God's Word say?

Act 2:38
Then Peter said to them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Act 3:19
Repent you therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.

Act 8:22
Repent therefore of this your wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of your heart may be forgiven you.

Act 17:30

And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commands all men every where to repent:

Act 26:20
But showed first to them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.

1 John 1:9,
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

..................

We GRIEVE God's SPIRIT by SIN (UNBELIEF and BREAKING GOD'S COMMANDMENTS)

Genesis 6
5,
And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
6,
And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it GRIEVED HIM AT HIS HEART.
7,
And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repents me that I have made them.

Eph 4:30

And GRIEVE NOT THE HOLY SPIRIT of God, whereby you are sealed to the day of redemption.

Pslams 95
10,
Forty years long was I GRIEVED with this generation, and said, It is a people that do err in their heart, and they have not known my ways:
11, To whom I swore in my wrath that they should not enter into my rest.

Hebrews 3
10,
Why I was GRIEVED with that generation, and said, They do always err in their heart; and they have not known my ways.
11, So I swore in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.

17, BUT WHOM WAS HE GRIEVED FORTY YEARS? WAS IT NOT WITH THEM THAT HAD SINNED, whose carcasses fell in the wilderness?
18,
And to whom swore he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not?
19,
So we see that they could not enter in because of UNBELIEF.

Psa 119:158

I BEHELD THE TRANSGRESSORS AND WAS GRIEVED; because they kept not your word.

...................

KNOWN UNREPENTANT SIN will keep all those who CONTINUE in it OUT of God's KINGDOM.

..................

God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) If we knowingly break it when God asks us not to we stand guilty before God of committing sin (James 2:8-12). If we do not seek him in repentance and forgiveness we are in danger of the Judgement (Hebrews 10:26-27)

Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has led many to break the commandments of God. Jesus says that if we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)

There is not one scripture in all of God's Word that says that God's 4th Commandment is now ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to KEEP Sunday as a Holy day.

Who should we follow the teachings and traditions of men or the Word of God? Who should we believe the Words of men or the Word of God?

In times of ignorance God winks at but now ,<when a KNOWLEDGE of the truth has come> calls all men everywhere to REPENT (FOLLOW) (Acts 17:30-31).

You say He doesnt need a name, He says He has a name:

Isayah 42:8, "I am YHWH, that is MY NAME; and My glory I will not give to another, nor My praise to graven images."

Micah 4:5, "For all the peoples walk, each one in the name of his mighty one, but we walk in the Name of יהוה(#H3068) our Mighty One (H#410) forever and ever."

Revelation 3:12, "He who overcomes, I will make a pillar in The House of My Father, and he will never go out of it. And I will write upon him the Name of My Father, and the Name of the New Yerusalem which comes down out of heaven from My Father, newly named."

Psalm 103:1, "Bless You YHWH, O our souls! And all that is within us bless Your holy Name!"

Psalm 105:1, "Give thanks to YHWH! Call upon His Name! Make known what He has done among the nations!"

Thank you for showing the presence of the two G/gods side by side. It was very rare for the Israelites to follow the true God for any length of time, hence all the slaughter.

Jews themselves tell me that YHWH is the God of the Jews. I don't believe the true God is the God of only one nation and Jesus dispelled that idea very quickly. What you are doing is highlighting the obvious confusion that is so apparent in Judaism.

the Jews tell you huh... so you believe those you say are of the devil but deny the word....

Isaiah 44:24, "Thus said יהוה, your Redeemer, and He who formed you from the womb, “I am יהוה, doing all, stretching out the heavens all alone, spreading out the earth, with none beside Me,"

Nehemiah 9:6, “You are יהוה, You alone. You have made the heavens, the heavens of the heavens, with all their host, the earth and all that are on it, the seas and all that are in them, and You give life to them all. And the host of the heavens are bowing themselves to You.”

the simple example is Moses who was commanded by the LORD not to kill and straight afterwards God tells him to do the very opposite.

Moses was given the commandment Ex 20:13
Thou shalt not kill. לֹ֑א תִּֿרְצָ֑ח which is used here, means thou shalt not murder. Thou shalt not kill would be written לֹ֑א מִתֶן ;which is NOT used.

Eloheym, written אֱלֹהִ֑ים is used to refer to God and Never used to refer to gods. In Ps 82:6 we find אֱלֹהִ֣ים used to mean mighty.
I should have said murder, which is pre-meditated killing and that is what Moses did.

Your translation has substituted YHWH for God. The JW's do the same. Enough said.

So Marc what was that about not jumping down peoples throats before one knows what is going on?

You seem to have a valid quarrel with him. My comments were concerning a post that purported to be from a 1906 publication of the Jewish Encyclopedia. That should have been a good reliable source and he had no reason to suspect otherwise. I discovered and pointed out evidence that the article he had cited had been tampered with.

I was neither agreeing with the article nor with him I only agreed that what he cited should have been a sound source.

I was complaining that you were unfairly criticizing MY post.

I commented when you agreed with it, as I knew it was not accurate, I posted before you change your view, when you did I replied in respect to you proper correction, even though wee disagree on some things it surprised me when you initially agreed, but again I took notice when you gave it a second thought.

Also, like I said before this is not the first time I have gone though this with PS, he is actually being mild today but has a very bad doctrine, each time I try to show PS scripture, but he seems to have his mind made up.

If you are referring to Moses' killing the Egyptian who was beating the Hebrew slave; a very good case could be made that what Moses did was an ill advised act of war. in any case it happened more than 40 years before the commandment.

NO YHWH is in the original. you are following false pharisee tradition by using the Lord and God:

New King James Version (Biblica) - Preface
"The covenant name of God was usually translated from the Hebrew word as "LORD" or "GOD", using capital letters as shown, as in the King James Old Testament. This tradition is maintained. In the present edition the name is so capitalized whenever the covenant name is quoted in the New Testament from a passage in the Old Testament."

New International Version - Preface
"In regard to the divine name YHWH, commonly referred to as the Tetragrammaton, the translators adopted the device used in most English versions...of rendering that name as "LORD" in capital letters to distinguish it from adonai, another Hebrew word rendered "Lord" for which small letters are used."

You are making up your own definition of what the rest is Yahshua/Jesus offers. None have yet entered into that rest,

Matt 11:27-30, "All things have been delivered to Me by My Father. And no one fully knows the Son except the Father, neither does anyone fully know the Father, except the Son and those whom YHWH wills the Son to reveal. Come to Me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light"

because it is still future:

2 Thessalonians 1:5-10, “Clear evidence of the righteous judgment of יהוה, in order for you to be counted worthy of the reign of יהוה, for which you also suffer, since יהוה shall rightly repay with affliction those who afflict you, and to give you who are afflicted rest with us when the Master יהושע is revealed from heaven with His mighty messengers, in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know יהוה, and on those who do not obey the Good News of our Master יהושע Messiah, who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Master and from the esteem of His strength, when He comes to be esteemed in His set-apart ones and to be admired among all those who believe in that Day, because our witness to you was believed.”

Revelation 14:13, "And I heard a voice from heaven saying to me: Write: Blessed are the dead, the ones dying in the Messiah from now on! Yes, says the Spirit: because they will rest from their labors, and their works do follow them!"

Also you might want to look into what Yahshua was quoting...

Mat 11:27-30, "All things have been delivered to Me by My Father.

Jeremiah 6:16-17, “Thus said יהוה, “Stand in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths, where the good way is, and walk in it; and find rest for yourselves.” But they said, We do not walk in it.’ “And I raised up watchmen over you, and said, ‘Listen to a voice of the trumpet!’ But they said, ‘We do not listen.’

rest is rest. You my physically rest but your mind is not. That is false rest

Jesus say if you lust to a woman you commit adultery

thus is the different OT and NT

OT adultery mean physical adultery

NT adultery mean in your mind.

OT rest mean physical rest

Hello dear, sin is sin. All SIN starts in the mind this includes the 4th Commandment which is one of the 10.

SIN is the transgression or breakin gof God's Commandments (Romans 7:7; James 2:8-12; 1 John 3:4). Those who practice SIN never have any rest.

Isaiah 57
20,
But the wicked (SINNERS) are like the troubled sea, when it cannot rest (SIN = NO REST), whose waters cast up mire and dirt.
21, There is no peace (REST), said my God, to the wicked (SINNERS).

Those who CONTINUE in UNREPENTANT SIN have no REST and will NOT enter into the KINGDOM of HEAVEN.

.......................

OT adultery mean physical adultery

NT adultery mean in your mind..
No attention to detail:

Matthew 5:27-32, “You heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not commit adultery. But I say to you that everyone looking at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart. And if your right eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out and throw it away from you. For it is better for you that one of your members perish, than for your entire body to be thrown into GĕHinnom. And if your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away from you. For it is better for you that one of your members perish, than for your entire body to be thrown into GĕHinnom. And it has been said, ‘Whoever puts away his wife, let him give her a certificate of divorce. But I say to you that whoever puts away his wife, except for the matter of whoring, makes her commit adultery. And whoever marries a woman who has been put away commits adultery.”

"everyone looking at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart"

in ones heart and actually sinning physically are not the same thing. James explains it here:

James 1:12-18, “Blessed is the man who does endure trial, for when he has been proved, he shall receive the crown of life which the Master has promised to those who love Him. Let no one say when he is enticed, “I am enticed by Yah,” for Yah is not enticed by evil matters, and He entices no one. But each one is enticed when he is drawn away by his own desires and trapped. Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin. And sin, when it has been accomplished, brings forth death. Do not go astray, my beloved brothers. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of light, with whom there is no change, nor shadow of turning. Having purposed it, He brought us forth by the Word of truth, for us to be a kind of first-fruits of His creatures.”

1 John 5:17, "All unrighteousness is sin, and there is a sin not unto death."

Thus I believe when Yahshua/Jesus says: "looking at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart. And if your right eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out and throw it away from you. For it is better for you that one of your members perish, than for your entire body to be thrown into GĕHinnom. And if your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away from you. For it is better for you that one of your members perish, than for your entire body to be thrown into GĕHinnom"

The
explanation of how this is in practice is explained by James here "when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin. And sin, when it has been accomplished, brings forth death"

Then to put in my own words; when I man looks upon a woman with great lust, if cultivated it will bring forth acting on that lust, when that lust is acted upon it births sin, when one lives a live of sin it brings forth the second death.

1 John 3:4, "Whoever commits sin, transgresses also the Law; for sin is the transgression of the Law."

Jackson, rather than seeking to accuse the Sabbath and find discreapency that does not exist, seek to understand the purpose of what YHWH has spoken. I dont understand everything but may we seek united going ever toward His truth.

I was meaning the thousands of Canaanites who were murdered. It was pre-meditated was it not.
It was an act of war commanded by God. God commanded against murder not against war and certainly NOT against a war commanded by Him. It was the fulfillment of Noah's God inspired curse on Canaan.

I did NOT like the content or agree with it; and I said so. I liked the fact that he cited what should have been a reliable source and gave proper credit. Too many people cut and paste without citing sources!

This is an excellent post and obviously a good-faith citation. Though certainly no fault of yours, there is something very fishy about it. I am speaking about a major anachronism. Baal and YHWH. The introduction of the use of the 'W' sound for the letter vahv did not occur until more than 50 years after the alleged publication date of 1906! Somebody is lying and it certainly isn't you!

Possibly I misundersttod, it seemed like you only had a problem with the use of waw rather than vav, but as I already said I saw the post where you said it was false. In any case I have no issue

rest is not rest. The rest Yahshua/Jesus offers is shown in the word, I see it does not matter to you what the word says it is. Makes sense concerning your other doctrines. You guys can say whatever you want. I say IT IS WRITTEN.
dear, why you say rest is not rest?

can you say red is not red?

look odd dear.
