This is true... and even though Jesus said that Judas was "unclean" and called him a son of perdition (doomed to destruction), there are still those who insist that Judas was saved (because he committed suicide!).
Courage.
I believe judas is an example our Lord of Host left us to remember that the Holy One suffered the pain of betrayal.
That Yeshua willingly laid down his life and as pilate was reminded quite fiercely of this.
Pilate could not comprehend such Truth.

The disciples may not of known who the betrayer was till the time came.
Yet one person did ask.

First and fore most guard your heart with Christ in you.
Secondary would be you in Christ.
You have put the cart before the horse, as they say.
First and foremost is Christ in me, and me in Him.

Something to ponder Rose.....Jesus called the apostles and John the Baptist...Some were Sons of Thunder, some soft and full of love and some like John the Baptist stiff amd fiery cutting none slack...God uses all types for particular situations and has been using imperfect men from the beginning to proclaim his perfect message!
I would add.
imperfect according to only one liar.
All you need to tell a person about good gifts is
Thank you Lord for giving them such a blessing.

Good soil as our Lord sees fit will always nourish the roots, And Praise God for increase.
Think on elisha for a moment! His Eyes were on Heavenly things and was never dissuaded.

o]Are you an elisha to this board?

o]or are you going to continue to dissuade the youngins of their Reward?

o]Is Faith in Salvation a fruitless Tree?

Nope once you "rest in Jesus" guarding your own heart is no longer an issue for the holy spirit keeps one going forward without so much "sting" so truly tis better to trust in Jesus for your heart to be guarded instead of "trusting one's self" so much it can be "difficult" because we have to think on "who knows best" instead of "being impulsive".

Your second point seems a terrible misrepresentation of what Dcon actually does here in coming against those who DO try to dissuade others of their reward. You really ought to leave off commenting until you know what is going on, which PLAINLY you do not.

1 Timothy 5 Complete Jewish Bible (CJB)

5 Do not rebuke an older man sharply, but appeal to him as you would to a father; treat younger men like brothers, 2 older women like mothers and younger women like sisters, with absolute purity.
3 Show respect to widows who are really in need. 4 But if a widow has children or grandchildren, first let them learn to do their religious duty to their own family and thus repay some of the debt they owe their forebears, for this is what is acceptable in the sight of God. 5 Now the widow who is really in need, the one who has been left all alone, has set her hope on God and continues in petitions and prayers night and day. 6 But the one who is self-indulgent is already dead, even though she lives. 7 And instruct them about this, so that they will not be open to blame. 8 Moreover, anyone who does not provide for his own people, especially for his family, has disowned the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
9 Let a widow be enrolled on the list of widows only if she is more than sixty years old, was faithful to her husband, 10 and is known for her good deeds — as one who has reared her children well, showed hospitality, washed the feet of God’s people, helped those in trouble, and engaged in all kinds of good work.
11 But refuse to enroll younger widows, for when they begin to feel natural passions that alienate them from the Messiah, they want to get married. 12 This brings them under condemnation for having set aside the trust they had at first. 13 Besides that, they learn to be idle, going around from house to house; and not only idle, but gossips and busybodies, saying things they shouldn’t. 14 Therefore, I would rather the young widows get married, have children and take charge of their homes, so as to give the opposition no occasion for slandering us. 15 For already some have turned astray to follow the Adversary.
16 If any believing woman has relatives who are widows, she should provide relief for them — the congregation shouldn’t be burdened, so that it may help the widows who are really in need.
17 The leaders who lead well should be considered worthy of double honor, especially those working hard at communicating the Word and at teaching.
18 For the TaNaKh says,
“You are not to muzzle an ox when it is treading out the grain,”[a] in other words, “The worker deserves his wages.”
19 Never listen to any accusation against a leader unless it is supported by two or three witnesses.[b] 20 Rebuke before the whole assembly those leaders who continue sinning, as a warning to the others. 21 Before God, the Messiah Yeshua and the chosen angels, I solemnly charge you to observe these instructions, not pre-judging and not doing anything out of favoritism. 22 Do not be hasty in granting s’mikhah to anyone, and do not share in other people’s sins — keep yourself pure.

23 Stop drinking water; instead, use a little wine for the sake of your digestion and because of your frequent illnesses.
24 The sins of some people are obvious and go ahead of them to judgment, but the sins of others follow afterwards. 25 Likewise, good deeds are obvious; and even when they are not, they can’t stay hidden.

"You shall give him his wages on his day before the sun sets, for he is poor and sets his heart on it; so that he will not cry against you to the LORD and it become sin in you.

I have already read over the entire Thread.
And seen how dcon responded to posters.

I was going to avoid the Thread.

You have read over the entire thread? I call that a lie. You avoid the thread but have read the whole thing, huh? Wow. How stupid do you think we all are, anyways? Never mind. You needn't answer that question. Liars don't tell the truth anyways, even if you would like to take us all for a bunch of country bumpkins.

So much assumed, so much judged, so much condemned.
The odd reality is those who do this to others will have it done to them.

Now those involved in churches, with believers, house groups, fellowship
know the lack of wisdom of those who desire belief above love and understanding,
listening and sharing our hearts before condemnation and confrontation.

But those who claim authority for themselves, say such extreme things their
judgement will be sever, but they have no fear or desire to just share the
blessing the Lord has been in their lives to encourage the brethren.

It should make you wonder if actually this confrontation is all they have.
But this is not what Jesus and the apostles meant by good works.
That alone should bring 2nd thoughts and a desire to seek the Lords face
and His word. Praise God He leads and blesses His people with His Spirit
and love, Amen.

You should know. It is your specialty, after all.
Magenta, Are you part of a fellowship, or is this your fellowship?

In our house group, I quote some of the crazy positions people take here,
as an example of how unreal people are. Strangely they do not come to your
defence, but are amazed at how you come to these conclusions and know
scripture.

Just interacting on the internet is not the same as having real relationships
and contacts with people in the real world.

Who is amazed? The people you gossip with and misrepresent me to?

I have spoken often of my church.
I am not surprised you have not seen it.
The blind don't see much.

He told us less than six hours ago that he avoids this thread. Now suddenly he has read the whole thing (almost 58,000 posts). Yeah, I called him on that one, too.

Sigh how long will this go on?
1.Elisha is not the same as D,Elisha had "twice" the spirit and so it makes sense that he did well for God and of course he thought of heaven often for he probably was thinking of Elijah a lot after witnessing him "leaving to heaven".
2.D is not dissuading anyone of "rewards" in heaven nor am I we simply speak truth of salvation,we don't discourage people from striving to do good works we simply state that they "don't save"(now they don't anyways excluding in the time of tribulation) Jesus assuredly told of treasures in heaven but "knowing" if one is saved is "more important" than what one "might get" nothing wrong with thinking a little on "rewards" to come for some "encouragement" but it shouldn't be anyone's "first focus" .
3.No, Faith is not a "fruitless tree" Jesus is the "vine" and we are stemmed from him when we "accept salvation" and "will serve" by doing works through him by way of the holy spirit.
Now to further clarify any one of us can "choose" to do a work that "we want to do" and then other times there are the ones that we may "be called to do" in a day and we must discern the difference between "what we want to do" and what "Jesus wants" and unfortunately there is the "possibe influence of satan" there to "scramble our thoughts" making us think we are being called by Jesus to do something when we aren't which is why it is important to have "certainty" along with "salvation".

What is an unusual interaction?

"false teacher", "sugar coated gospel", "liar", "leading people to hell"

These are unusual to put towards someone who believes in being saved by faith
shown by a transformed life. As an evangelist, if you stand against this you are
not a believer but a sinner lost in sin.

We are not transformed to perfection overnight, but we have love and forgiveness
planted in our souls. And Gods word works through every part of our lives as we
read, dwell and have fellowship with His people. This is the core common thread
of all protestant fellowships, yet here is a group saying it leads one to hell.

So their fate is sealed by the very thing they actively reject and preach against.
I do not have to say any more, it is this obvious to the Lords people.

Seems like you would have better things to do than read the entire thread which now has more words in it than the bible

Nobody rejects that works follow justification as part of the process of ongoing sanctification. Nor do those you oppose preach against it, as you say. This has been pointed out to you may times, but you continue blithely in your falseness, regardless. And we know why. You are an unreliable witness. Jesus told us who your father is.
