Here's the problem... You're lacking knowledge about the spiritual right hand, you don't know what that is sooooooo what you do is CHANGE the word of God to fit your LIIMITED understanding.

Instead of reading and BELIEVING every word is right and every word means exactly what it says, you have completely missed the REAL meaning of the passage.

So I ask again, can cutting off your right hand save you from hell?

How about when Jesus the RIGHT HAND of God was CUT OFF, did that save you from hell? This is like basic pre-k Christianity lol.

"If your right hand causes you to sin..." Did Jesus cause you to sin? No. Therefore your metaphoric interpretation doesn't make sense.

The KJV says to cut off THY right hand not YOUR right hand. But if you insist that Jesus is teaching one to cut off body parts to save themselves from hell, that's your right.

I do not think that this is a choice between an extreme literalism and an extreme metaphor.

Something in the middle would be my guess.

I just read the bible for what it say, I don't try to interpret the meaning... it says what it means and means what it is says. The only interpretation needed is to decide if the passage is about the literal or figurative.

You want someone to agree with your “cut off Jesus” idea? Well it won’t be me. I know better.

Jesus is the RIGHT HAND of GOD.
He was a Rock of OFFENCE (that means he offended people).
He was CUT OFF ( crucified).
His death saved the body of believers from hell.

And what is your reason for saying those verses aren't about Jesus the RIGHT HAND of God?
And how does cutting your right hand off save you from hell?

50 Nor consider that it is expedient for us, that one man (God's RIght Hand) should die for the people (body of believers), and that the whole nation perish not (go to hell).

Jesus said it.
“Thy” refers to the hand of every person Jesus is teaching.

I just think it's ironic that you push the inerrancy of the KJV and yet you don't even believe the words of the KJV. Either cutting off your right hand saves you from hell or it doesn't... it's that simple.

Matthew 22:44 The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool?

Hebrews 10:12-13 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; from henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.

Notice that Jesus isn’t being used as God’s right hand, but is sitting on God’s right hand waiting and expecting God to handle the enemies for him.

It is an analogy referring to your own body being a living sacrifice holy and acceptable to God.
Which act of faith requires a sacrificial love like Jesus proved to have.
You remember, Let this mind be in you that was also in Christ Jesus.

But in that we who follow Jesus are expected to suffer as he did there is likeness.
