The problem is that the words used: Gehenna, Hades and Sheol dont mean Hell. They mean grave. Not so sure that Hel is compatible with a loving God.
Gehenna was Jerusalem's dump.
Hades is the Greek Underworld.
Sheol is both an underworld and an evil place.

So, nope. Grave isn't in any of the words. Grave is usually "grave" in Bible versions.

You say that now. Wait til she's President, bro!

There are not many paths that lead to God. That’s Oprah’s pluralistic theology, but not found in the Bible. The Christ is the ONLY way to the Father.

What I've learned from others in the last few weeks:

1) Billy Graham, non-reformed free-willer; (man decides his way into heaven, or not). He's in hell.

2) R. C. Sproul, Reformed theologian; biblical opposite of (to state it simply) Billy Graham's soteriology. He's in hell too.

No. I dont. I believe the Bible was inspired by God, but not dictated. It is not God who made mistakes; it was fallible men. Mistakes happen over the centuries in translation, mistakes happen when something that is copied over and over again is copied wrong ... one word ... can change the entire meaning. Jesus was infallible and inerrant.
The above is just an excuse. For if we can't trust in God's written word, then how could we trust in His promise of salvation or any of His promises? Regarding this, we have OT prophesies being record as fulfilled in the NT. We also have Paul quoting OT scriptures throughout his letters. Do you believe that God is powerful enough to make sure that His word remains undistorted? We also have the ability to look at the major translations side by side for any given scripture to what the differences are if any, as well as the Interlinear.

"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work."

Stephen Hawking was probably agnostic, like most people. Atheism is a religion of it's own.

How do you know he is in Hell? Isn't that God's call. How do you know he led others to Hell? Provide examples.

When you are speaking to someone hit "reply with quote" otherwise no one will answer you because we do not know who you are speaking to. The Bible says "by their fruit you shall know them" Hawking did not believe in God according to his own words. That being said I cannot say he did not call out to God in the last moments of his life, but I highly doubt it. He leaned on his own understanding and so he is now separated from God. And that is free will to chose,as sad as that choice is. Whether he led people to hell is dubious. We'll never be able to blame anyone else for the choice we made. We are responsible for what we do with Christ, whether we believe or reject him.

Answer this: How could Jesus who preached love and forgivness torment people (let us say Jews here ... who grew up Jewish obeying what their parents taught them ... this is their religion ... just as christianity is my religioin).
God's invitation of salvation through faith His Son does not do away with the consequences of those not believing in His Son. The invitation is out there because God so loved the world that He gave His only Son that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. Take notice of the above where it says "whosoever believes," which also means that whosoever does not believe remains in their sins and is on their way to condemning punishment.

God's love does not nullify His righteous judgment. A person is saved by grace through faith. Anyone's name not found written in the book of life will be thrown into the lake of fire. This is what the great white throne judgment is about, i.e. the judgment of all the unrighteous dead. Jesus also said, "no man comes to the Father but through me." That means that there is no salvation outside of Christ. Consequently, anyone who dies without Jesus remains in their sins and God's wrath rests upon that person.

"Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life." - 1 John 5:12

"Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them." - John 3:36

They are taught by their parents that this IS the truth. do they go to hell because they obeyed their parents and believed them?
Once an individual comes of age, they should know the truth for themselves, not by what their parents told them. They have to have their own faith. They should be reading the word of God for themselves. Come on! What kind of logic is that? This is about individual choice from being told about Christ and then reading His word for oneself.

For example, my faith did not come from my parents, for they were not believers. God called me when I was 14 years old and that from reading His word and had nothing to with my parents whatsoever. Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ. Then you read it for yourself and are convinced if God reveals His Son to you.

I'm not convinced there is any biblical evidence to support the theory that there is an age of accountability.
Consider this...

Luke 2:41-42: "His parents went to Jerusalem every year at the Feast of the Passover. And when He (Jesus) was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem according to the custom of the feast"

In Israel, one of the Jewish customs is the Bar Mitzvah/Bat Mitzvah (I think it's 12yrs for a boy and 13yrs for a girl) where they are acknowledged as having all the rights and obligations of a Jewish adult. I *personally* believe this to be the age of accountability, although the scriptures do not set a specific age in stone, but as mentioned in Luke, Jesus was also 12 when He was considered an adult.

I really don't believe God sends babies to hell!

Consider also how God has used several Jewish customs to communicate spiritual truths to us. Take an ancient Jewish wedding for example... the groom leaves to prepare a place for His bride and will return for her. Very interesting and revealing if you read all about the weddings back then.

Folks saying......."How do you know this or that?" Well, let us GO TO THE SOURCE:

What Stephen Hawking said about God, his atheism and his own ...

British theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking schmoozed with popes during his lifetime, even though he was an avowed atheist. The famous scientist, who died Wednesday in England at 76, was often asked to explain his views on faith and God. During interviews, he explained his belief that there was no need for a creator.
He said during an interview with El Mundo in 2014: “Before we understand science, it is natural to believe that God created the universe. But now science offers a more convincing explanation. What I meant by ‘we would know the mind of God’ is, we would know everything that God would know, if there were a God, which there isn’t. I’m an atheist.”

Now, I'm fairly sure somewhere in Scripture, we are instructed to test the spirits, and we will know a man by his works........

In my humble opinion, Hawkings now knows the truth hat he denied and scoffed at all his life!
Scripture tells us what will become of chaff.........

He is on record as an atheist. By the testimony of his own lips he is not in a happy place right now nor for eternity. It is a grievous thing to consider.

Although to become a bit more serious, I think we have "through" figured out.

Stephen Hawking said that though one couldn't prove that God doesn't exist, he felt that God just wasn't necessary.

He also said, “I believe the universe is governed by the laws of science. The laws may have been decreed by God, but God does not intervene to break the laws.”

For someone who didn't believe in God, Stephen sure spoke about Him a lot.

Someone posted previously that Stephen may have been mad at God for his having ALS. Perhaps he was. His first wife Jane (who is a Christian) said that Stephen never wanted to discuss his disease and she and their three kids were not allowed to talk about it with him. Jane and Stephen remained friends even after he divorced her to be with his nurse and caretaker. I just hope and pray the Lord used Jane to witness to Stephen and in the end, he finally repented and submitted to God.

It's been pointed out that Stephen Hawking was born on Galileo Galilei's death anniversary (January 8) and died on Albert Einstein's birthday (March 14.) Also, Einstein and Hawking both died at the age of 76.

Things like that can really make one wonder.

You've noticed an interesting paradox. It seems most atheists think of God, death, and Hell more often than Christians do. Or at least they have more to say about it.

Stephen Hawking said that though one couldn't prove that God doesn't exist, he felt that God just wasn't necessary.

He also said, “I believe the universe is governed by the laws of science. The laws may have been decreed by God, but God does not intervene to break the laws.”

Where Stephen Hawkings is now ... we don't know. God will decide. When Billy Graham died, many said that he, too, was in Hell because towards the end of his life, he became more inclusive. He stated that people of others faiths, or no faith at all, might be saved IF they lived as if they knew Jesus (paraphrasing).

I cannot judge anyone's soul. I certainly dont believe that people of other religions (and possibly no religion at all) will go to Hell because they believed in the wrong "things". I wonder if there even is a Hell.
The existence of the Eternal Lake of Fire is firmly established in the Bible...

I do not hold hope for Billy Graham... He is an even worse case then Stephen Hawkings.. Because i believe Billy Graham was once a Christian who ended up falling away from the truth and became a heretic.. At lest we can say that Stephen Hawking was not a traitor to the Gospel..

The perfect Love of God does not outrank His perfect Justice...

God has gone to extraordinary lengths to make it as easy as it can ever be to be saved.. He suffered death out of love for us sinners to gift us salvation if we would only just accept the free gift.. People who reject His gift of Atonement for their sins will not have it..

The Love of God will have no eternal benefit upon those who do not love God...

It takes two to establish an eternal relationship..
