I'm going to agree, and before I read this, I was going to say that, "the math works," for the Lord to return this year or soon--
I meant it symbolically--
the "math" does work in many ways-- math meaning signs, world events, scriptures--
While I try to remember to pray everyday for more time, for myself or on a greater scale, I believe it is safe to say, I would also not be surprised if major events went down, or began, or if I was not here next year, or all of this year, taking it one year at a time thereafter.
At the same time, I believe it is possible, that one year at a time, the Church of Christian believers will continue to prepare for the Lord's return, which is what we are taught to do anyway in the Bible by Jesus and all the Apostles-- prophets, and Old and New Testament.
This should stay in the News section-- and we could add events from the news of 2017 or 2018, forthcoming--

Anyone notice the international day of peace theme back in 2017? Together for Peace: Respect, Safety and Dignity for All. Interesting theme, notice 2 words, peace and safety.
These so called international year of peace that is celebrated every year, is just like a politician saying the economy is fine, when in reality, there is no peace, and the economy is messed up.
We see each year getting worse and worse in gun violence, and not only that, society has reached the level of children killing children.
How can one say there is a international year of peace, when the violence is getting worse and worse?
Since the moral foundation of society has reached to the point that it is just a matter of time before the foundation completely shatters. What happens if a foundation shatters under a house? The house will fall, or becomes unsafe and dangerous.
You know is incredible, that people today still cannot see what is happening. I have no doubt in my mind we are living on borrowed time, and that borrowed time is like an elastic band stretching and stretching. There is a limit as to how far a elastic band can stretch.

all I get is a tirade about how negative we Christians are; always looking to the
doom and gloom; wanting the end to come.
I guess we spoil the dinner party with truths.
The blind are blind and see nothing. The deaf are deaf and hear not the
Word of God.
And the burden for me is that I know of the catastrophe akin to Noah's days
that is coming to burn up this world and all its wickedness.
I know it is coming, I tell people save yourself from this, but they will not
listen nor embrace the gospel.
It is a big responsibility to warn others and to preach constantly.
I fear that I am not up to the job God has me employed to do.

When you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be alarmed. These things must happen, but the end is still to come.
People who accuse others of being negative, those accusers cannot handle reality. That is my opinion. Can't think like that because it is negative. Reality is, the world is getting more messed up. That is fact. And people have to accept that. It is not a question of being negative, it is being realistic and accepting facts. Not accepting fairy tales, but accepting hard core facts. The guts of the matter is, this world has become to the point where much of the wickedness happening today is not even labelled for what it is. Instead it is labelled as the new norm of society. This is the society we have today, this is fact.

I think the question should be more along the theme of:
'will Israel do the flattening?'

The Bible in Isa 17 and Jer 49:23-27 does not specify Israel will have anything to do with it... However, the Elam prophecy, Israel is stated as doing the deed. This to is future prophecy.
Right now, I think it will be between Russia and the US.Right now, the US is fixing to attack Syria and Russia says no- noooooo. Since part of Israel get flattened as well, I think it will be nuclear. The military as is in Jer 49: 23-27 will also be cut-off that day...To do this it would almost have to be Nuclear since God tells us "in that day" Russia and Iran now have bases close to Damascus. This would of course begin WWIII and stop the process of the Mag-Gog War until later. There are prophecies that have to be met before the Gog-MayGog War.

Jerusalem was returned to Israel on a Jubilee year 1967...2017 another Jubilee year saw the US Pres. recognizing Jerusalem as Israel's capital.....
God gave us signs to tell the spring which we are in....In 2015 those signs started coming into focus...Earthquakes began increasing from 15-20 (greater than 5.0)per year to almost 2-300 per year today.
The Blood moons, Eclipses, etc. began to show up on Feast days and other holidays of Israel...
The last sign that apparently has happened was captured in Rev. 12. Nowhere in the last 6,000 years were the stars lined up as stated in Rev. 12 until Sept 23, 2017 (a Jubilee Year). Neither will the stars line up again for at least another 1000 years beyond 2018.
The latest Blood, Super, Blue moon was on Jan 31, 2018 a Hebrew Holiday (Tu BiShvat).
While the Jubilee year (2017) ended on March 16th of this year (2018) without further happenings, it is clear that the Moving of the US consulate to Jerusalem will end in nothing GOOD.
The US had an Eclipse that past right through the middle of the county in 2017. In 2018, We sill have one that cross the US in the center of the country.
