you are talking to a guy who had many muslim friends, who studied quran and hadith and who talked to countless imams and islamic scholars, i also read islams history.

You take your info about islam from far-right wingers like david wood. i already seen alot of his videos and also walid shoebat, brother rachid and other islamophobes. and i can tell you that they are cherry picking, they are looking at violent verses in quran and take them out of context while ignoring the full verse and the book as a whole. if you actually studied quran you would know that it preaches equality and self-defense, not violence and hatred.

The quran throughout denies Jesus as the Christ and the Son of God. The Bible tells us who the liar is. And in case it has to be said plainly to you: liars lie. They don't tell one lie and then stop.

The quran is full of lies through and through, and so are the people who defend it. There is no context you can put the quran or any of its verses in that would make it truth. Jesus is the Truth (John 14:6), and the quran denies Him. That right there should tell you.

But since you apparently think highly of the quran, maybe you should follow the verse in it that says to check it against the Bible to see if the quran is correct. The Bible is the measure of truth, not the quran.

yes i know abbasid caliphate had black slaves, but not even close to what christians had and they treaded the slave way better than christians did. muslims also ended their slavery way long before christians did.

Slaves were taken by Moslems from wherever they could get them - when Europe was invaded millions were taken as slaves. In Africa, slavery, encouraged by Moslems, was rife for centuries before any Europeans came on the scene.
Moslem slavery ONLY ceased when European navies (notably the British) stopped it!

Spread of Islam - Islam has NEVER spread apart from conquest. The numbers of "voluntary" conversions to Islam are infinitesimal compared to the forced conversions throughout history!
In addition, any conversions from Islam to another religion are punished by death...Even if some countries have laws against these "honour" killings it does NOT stop them!

Your post is correct except for one thing. It should read "every single assumption is wrong" not "every single fact is wrong". A fact cannot be wrong. Not trying to be picky, just trying to help you to word it better next time. I agree with your sentiments.

When I was kid I watched 'I Dream of Jeannie" and I read a kiddie version of the Arabian Nights" Disney came out with the Aladdin movies, and I loved them, Princess Jasmine was so bold and indepdendant I liked her feminist spirit. I heard the story about Scheherazade and her creativity i started writing stories of my own, my 5th grade teacher started having the class writing fiction stories, i was greatly inspired. i saw movies, with belly dancers, heard stuff on tv about Arabian, Muslim women, learned about the middle east, about terrorism, Desert Shield. i was curious about middle eastern and Muslim culture, i saw this cool movies on Tv, I don't remeber the name, it was an old movies, but it had a prince and princess in love, a little street urchin boy, an evil wizard/bad guy, a big genie in a little bottle, it was cool. Well, I was confused about what islam was and what they really believe. The idea of a harem is bad. It is cruel to lock up women and only let them out to go to the market to buy food when they had a written note from their husband. I don't like women being forced to wear those all-covering sacks, they can be modest without them. There's nothing wrong with hajib, in Christianity and the old testament of the Bible women covered themselves modestly and covered their hair. in the middle ages and other historical times women had to cover their hair, head coverings became a fashion statement. Wearing a long, long sleeved dress or long pants underneath the dress and a head scarf is enough modesty. And they can be quite pretty too. I used to be afraid, and sometimes hate Muslims. I thought they were hypocrites. But the Lord revealed to me that I was a hypocrite.

i learned something about Islam, I discovered it has a lot in common with Christianity, and Judaism. The Lord taught me how to love. Love does not judge what race or ethnicity one is, it does not judge by gender or religion or creed. God is love. he loves Muslims. He wants to bring all human beings together in the name of Christ, who died for everyone. Christ brings us life. Life to the fullest. I love Mulsims, I love everyone, God has freed me from hate and fear. I am not angry any longer. God took away the bad feelings and my attitude has changed. I went from liking middle eastern/muslim culture to hating it when I was a teen. I learned of the suffering of people in Afhganistan, Iran and Iraq. And praying, seeking God's love, I loved them and realize they need to know Christ.
