Look folks, regardless of what some of you may think, I didn't come here to argue with any of you. I didn't come here to act like any king either. What I came here for was to speak what the Bible truly says and provide scripture. If anyone has a problem with any of the scripture I've posted then really their problem is not with me. If anyone has a problem with scripture then their problem is with God and I suggest they speak to Him about that. If anyone doesn't agree with scripture then what good does it really do to argue with me ? I am not the author of the Bible, I only deliver it's word. And one can sit and type all the insults, sarcasm and derogatory statements they wish and it isn't going to change any of this one bit.
in other words. He came to argue HIS interpretation of scripture. He did not come to a bible discusion forum to DISCUSS scripture itself.

His mind is closed. His way is right, our way is wrong, period

he is not the first one to do this, sadly, he wont be the last.

I have watched this thread for some time and seen 3 wise men preaching the gospel as it is written. Nehemiah6, John146 and wolfwint have spoken the word of God honorably, but many have chosen not to listen. Instead, these men have either been often ignored or condemned for their words of truth. Do you people not know of the book of Daniel where 3 men stood by trusting the word of God so greatly that they feared not the king tossing them into the fiery furnace ? The king thought nothing of those 3 men nor their God either until he tossed them into the fiery furnace only to see them walk out alive, untouched, unharmed and not of smell of fire. How could this be thought the king. It was due to strength of faith in the true word of God and the Blessing of God Himself that protected those men from the fire. God made sure that it did not matter who tried to harm them, they were sure to be protected by their faith alone. The same is true of anyone on this website that comes to speak the true word of God with no fear of their oppressors. Some will insult, ridicule, scorn and scoff a man for telling the truth, but when he is under God's wing of truth you cannot hurt him any more than the king could hurt those men he tossed into the furnace. Where faith is, truth is, and where truth is God is also. When a man speaks the true word of God people should understand it is not the man speaking, but it is God speaking through him. And to criticize, ignore or chastise any such man is to do the very same unto God Himself. I speak nothing of myself but only of these 3 men when I say it is not good how they have been treated here. People should have more respect for one who speaks the word exactly as written giving nothing to it and taking nothing from it. For that can be nothing but the Spirit speaking itself. When words match scripture they are true and when they do not match scripture then they are false.
interpretation.

"I have seen 3 men who agrees with my interpretation. Thus in my view, they preach the word of God"

Can women be elders in the church? How about bishops? Why or why not?

Very Christian of you to mock the Bible. It is a King James Bible and if you look back a few pages you will see that all versions of the Bible state the same thing regarding women being a pastor within the church. It is prohibited.
Nowhere in the King James translation are the words, "women may not be pastors" or anything close to that. Stop conflating terms and use the ones your venerated KJV uses, and your statements might have some validity.

I know several women who are elders in churches, so the answer is "yes". There is no "why" about it; they simply are.

Are women allowed to speak about JESUS?
How can you stop them?

what comes to mind is also Jesus words about those who are for HIM that they are not against HIM
Who is telling here in this thread that it is not allowed for woman to speak about Jesus?
I went not through all posts, but I found nobody who says that it is not allowed for a woman to speak about Jesus.

I see a different between preaching in the sunday service the sermon and teach from the word of God. And speaking to other people about Jesus.
If you are going after the scripture a woman should not preach. If you are going after the timespirit there is no problem for a woman to preach. Its up to evereybody himself whom he will follow. The Holy Spirit ore the timespirit. I know that today you rarely find an denomination which has no woman as eldest ore as pastors. And so far I see this will also not change in the next future. I am married with a woman which lebt her church because they got a woman as Pastor. Not automatic somebody who is understanatic the bible in the way that a woman should not preach, is a woman enemy ore somebody who dishonor and suppress a woman.

My wish is only to do what the word of God says, indepent what people says.

And you, through your eisigesis, have totally missed the point of what was being said in that scripture. It is talking about the order of the worship service... making sure that everyone had their chance to speak, sing a hymn, or prophesy. In other words, not have one self-appointed "spiritual leader" take over the worship of the assembly. Do things in order.

It has absolutely NOTHING to do with who can join the assembly. If Jesus personally went and embraced lepers and welcomed them back into society, why do you think he would refuse a drunk/addict/homosexual access to the hospital for sinners? If he let a sinful whore join their assembly and wash his feet, what gives YOU the right to refuse access to anyone?

Your elitist, self-righteous attitude about the worship assembly is what is driving people away from God, in droves. The idea that we have to somehow be good enough to come worship God. We have to fit in a mold, or a profile that only YOU can define, through your pious "knowledge of scripture".

And, why do I accuse you of lying about your age? My discernment.
John 2:13-22 [SUP]13[/SUP]When it was almost time for the Jewish Passover, Jesus went up to Jerusalem. [SUP]14[/SUP]In the temple courts he found people selling cattle, sheep and doves, and others sitting at tables exchanging money. [SUP]15[/SUP]So he made a whip out of cords, and drove all from the temple courts, both sheep and cattle; he scattered the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables. [SUP]16[/SUP]To those who sold doves he said, "Get these out of here! Stop turning my Father's house into a market!" [SUP]17[/SUP]His disciples remembered that it is written: "Zeal for your house will consume me." [SUP]18[/SUP]The Jews then responded to him, "What sign can you show us to prove your authority to do all this?" [SUP]19[/SUP]Jesus answered them, "Destroy this temple, and I will raise it again in three days." [SUP]20[/SUP]They replied, "It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and you are going to raise it in three days?" [SUP]21[/SUP]But the temple he had spoken of was his body. [SUP]22[/SUP]After he was raised from the dead, his disciples recalled what he had said. Then they believed the scripture and the words that Jesus had spoken.

Absolute proof that not just "anyone" or "anything" is allowed in God's house. For those who wish to believe otherwise, I suggest you read the scripture.

Your "discernment" is much better defined as "bearing false witness" and ludicrous. So, you are under the impression that two homosexuals should be allowed into the service even if they are having sex in the front row. So, you are under the impression that a pedophile should be allowed to sit in church and fondle children. So you are under the impression that a person strung out on heroin and screaming and yelling should be at the service. Those and many other lewd and ungodly acts are exactly what you are defending when you say "everyone" should be allowed to attend. Well, your ideas are totally false and do not represent any "order within the church" nor do they represent the use of any common sense. You simply have chosen to "argue" for the sake of arguing with someone. I guarantee if you turn the church into a "saloon" atmosphere that is what is going to drive away the godly people. And furthermore, if "anyone" and "anything" should be allowed into the church, then tell me why did Jesus turn over the tables of the merchants in the temple ? Absolute proof that not "everyone" nor "everything" should be allowed in God's house. Why don't you cease speaking your nonsense and attacking someone just for the sake of attacking.
This is very disgusting. And hyperbolic. But mostly disgusting.

When you people say "everyone" should be allowed to attend a service, those are the disgusting things you defend. So, you should change your opinion not to include "everyone".

Go with whatever you like but the Greek word is: διάκονος [diakonos]

Strong's G1249
διάκονος diákonos, dee-ak'-on-os; probably from an obsolete διάκω diákō (to run on errands; compare G1377); an attendant, i.e. (genitive case) a waiter (at table or in other menial duties); specially, a Christian teacher and pastor (technically, a deacon or deaconess):—deacon, minister, servant.

The KJV translates Strong's G1249 in the following manner: minister (20x), servant (8x), deacon (3x).

I'm aware you like to sling accusations and bear false witness when you don't like someone.
I want you to look in the mirror whilst repeating the above post.

You have quite an imagination. No one else here was suggesting anything remotely like this.

I remember when I was a kid, a guy came to a service. He was a little tipsy. He started acting out a little bit. You know what happened? A man from the congregation sat next to him, talked with him, and sat with him for the rest of the service. Did the visitor give his heart to the Lord? Idk. But I’m sure he will remember how he was treated that day.

So when did Jesus kick people out of his presence because they were sinners? Seems to me he was more angry at people like you (the religious self righteous do gooders) than he was at the sinners..

What joke.. You must go to a dead church, if nothing else definitely a self righteous church. which is disgusting.

Imagine if he went to LD's church, he probably would have been judged, tossed out. and maybe even have made a scene as he was being tossed out. He most likely came for help. Praise God your church gave him hope instead of judgment.
