John146 has given the proper meaning of diakonos so there was no double standard. It literally means servant and was transliterated as deacon, not deacon OR deaconess.

Transliteration: diakonos
Phonetic Spelling: (dee-ak'-on-os)

If you're implying that it cannot rightly be transliterated, "deaconess" you are correct, because it is not a feminine term in the Greek. If you are thereby implying that it cannot refer to a female, you are incorrect, because it is used of Phoebe. She was a "diakonos" and therefore a deacon. It is only by an a priori belief that females cannot be deacons that leads one to believe that it could not be translated "deacon" in Romans 16.

Obviously, you haven't been paying attention to my posts. There has been no misogyny whatsoever, only the word of scripture. Actually, I stated more than once just how important women are to the overall society and to God. So, for you to accuse me of misogyny is nothing more than "bearing false witness". You should actually try possessing evidence of something before you go accusing people of things.
If all you did was quote Scripture continually, it would be no problem. However, that is not what you are doing. You go beyond to give your own commentary based on your rather wacky interpretational methods, and you harangue people who disagree with you.
