True or false?

Rom 8:10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

Rom 8:11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus fromthe dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the deadshall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

is this just after we die?
You answer my questions and then I Yours:)

I've never seen tongues like it first occurred in Acts. A lot of what some call jibber-jabber, though.

You have not seen a tongue thread yet. They take forever and never get anywhere. lol

If you put Romans 8, 10 literal for Now. Then your body is dead. But I Support you are not a Spirit. You have an body and this body is not Dead, otherwise you would not Feel pain, ore Hunger ore thirst. You are Living in this body right. So it is not Dead Now.
Vers 8,11 speaks from the Future. Not from the present. We know from 1.Cor 15, 35ff that we will get a new spirituell body.
So we get this body After we die, ore when we still alive while he is Coming back and we meet him in the Air.

I had the most profound dream last night about this topic. For the last few days I have been studying the Greek in the passage about communion and it’s link to sickness. And what I found was so interesting. Basically Scripture teaches us that when we eat food in doubt it can cause us to be sick. I haven’t seen this before because it’s hidden away in the Interlinear. In today’s age, we often say this is good for me or this is bad for me, but I believe this can be eating food in doubt and not faith. I’ll work out the specifics and post about it using Scripture.

But in my dream I saw that I was like the walking dead, that I was dead, but the Spirit in me was keeping me alive. And I’ve been really processing the truth that the Spirit is life. And we have rivers of life flowing out of us, and other similar Scriptures. I really feel the Lord moving in this thread. Thank you everyone for sharing your hearts! Love you all!

Paul Ellis again, from the copy and paste queen. Just for once, answer a post in your own words. That way we will know you are not a zombie or troll. Then again.....
JM does not realize that "Escape to Reality" is ironical. What he really means is ESCAPE FROM REALITY, and JM is certainly on that track.

A resource is a resource and if a person wants to use one resource over another that is their choice. Certain study Bibles are out there to read and use as a resource and Christians prefer some over the others. Personally I have 3 and agree with some of what each one says but not all of what each one says.

IMO The New Strong's exhaustive concordance is terrific and it's what I use and like but have heard Vine's is better. But so far Strong's is the one because that is the one I purchased 3yrs ago. So far., it works.

So if you don't like Paul Ellis don't use any resources he writes or offers. Find and post who you do like. I don't particularly like John MacGarther so I don't use his resources. There are some things I do agree with him about but I prefer to go with teachers and preachers I agree with more and not those I agree with less.

But if someone posts his stuff and is encouraged by him I'm glad for them. Yaaay and yahoo. If they post his stuff and ask me about it I will answer why I don't like to listen or read his stuff. But no one asked me so I don't see any reason to get on a thread and post why "I" don't happen to like him.

The Bible says we are spirit now. We live IN a body. This body is a shell that houses us. We are not our bodies., we are the person inside the mortal body.

The shell houses who we are.. spirit IS who we are today and forever. When this perishable puts on imperishable and this mortal puts on immortality ..... So we will get "new" bodies that will be spiritual ones like Jesus has today. But His new body could be touched and could eat yet He was not bound to time and space anymore. We will have a body like His but it will be ours individually.

Jesus is the first of many brethren.

God is spirit and those who worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth. We cannot worship God unless we are doing it from our spirit man. The flesh isn't going to worship Him. At best the flesh can make a good show of it but the Bible is clear., God is spirit and those who worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth. John 4:23-24

[SUP]23 [/SUP]A time will come, however, indeed it is already here, when the true (genuine) worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth (reality); for the Father is seeking just such people as these as His worshipers.
[SUP]
24 [/SUP]God is a Spirit (a spiritual Being) and those who worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth (reality).

This is a pretty amazing truth to me about learning to walk in our new creation. We have this human shell that Jesus has taken the power away from. Yet we still have to reckon what Jesus did to be true by faith EVERY DAY while here on earth. We are new creations in Christ and we are no longer subject to the flesh but to the Holy Spirit. Jesus broke the power of sin.

Jesus has broken the power of sin for us but He did not take the presence of sin away because each day we have 3 things that have sin in them....

1. The world

2. The flesh

3. The devil

So while we are here we have to choose to walk in our new creation by faith so those 3 things no longer defeat or define us.
This is a daily reckoning and a choice.

What's your problem Magenta? Having a bad hair day? Note what I said below:

5. The Lord continues to heal people daily, either as a response to prayer or simply because ultimately He is the only Healer, and medical doctors can only go so far. Christians who are sick are instructed to call for the elders to pray over them.

What Ben and others of his persuasion are promoting is a false Gospel.

Nehemiah, how is it you use such defamatory statements about me, when you have not once seen me preach anything but the true Gospel of Jesus Christ? Have I pointed to any other than Christ, in order to be saved? No. Have I made salvation a works-based pursuit? No. So then, how can you say I preach a false Gospel, when you have only seen me preach Christ and Him crucified as the Gospel? Please watch your words, and consider their implications.

Perhaps I was in error to think you were saying Ben's claim was that healing was always supernatural, when I saw him acknowledge both. My apologies if that is not what you said. "Therefore healing is not always supernatural (as you said)."

Do you think you have a good reputation that I can defame it?

Realism would help you greatly.

Here's the whole picture of what I see in you. You are a young man trying to seem old and wise. I really do get that we're never going to be completely wise in our entire lives. And youth comes complete with inexperience along with a whole lot of tumbles. ("Tried that. Didn't work. Tried that. Didn't work." Those kinds of tumbles.) But the thing the tumbles are supposed to teach us is we aren't wise, and we have much to learn. (I will let you know if I ever get to the point of feeling I finally arrived at wisdom or finally arrived to the point of learning it all. Do NOT hold your breath waiting for that to happen.)

You're problem is you tend to think your job is to teach everyone from your vast stores of wisdom.

My problem is trying to teach you you don't yet have the vast stores of wisdom.

And this has nothing to do with age. Blain is your age and he teaches within the set of what he has learned so far. He gets he has miles to go on the stuff he doesn't know so far. And he gets he might be wrong. You tend to think you got everything you need already and thus you are here to impart this great wisdom onto the rest of us fools.

You know what I want out of you? Why I keep harping on you? I want you to stop putting on the old-and-wise fake face, and to speak from the real you. The you who knows you don't know everything yet. The you that is willing to concede that simple little commonality we all have, so you can open your mind to the obvious thing you're missing. You've been indoctrinated into a boat load of crap, and have, as yet, come to realize it is one huge boatload of crap!

People come to the Lord complete with huge boat loads of crap. A lot of the crap we don't even know is crap for years. (I really was raised Catholic, and when I was born again landed into a group who believe the same crap about healing that you do. It took me a very short time to learn what RCC crap I carried as treasure. It took me even longer to dump the crap I learned from that first place I landed after being born again. I didn't know it was crap until I listened to real people of God and read the Bible. So, again, this is not about age.)

Once we get which stuff is and which stuff isn't crap, then it is joint effort to dump the cargo we carry. You keep thinking you've got no crap.
If we're being honest here, I've never liked the way you misread people's intentions, and think you know their heart in matters. Especially when it comes to me, as you mischaracterize me and think there are ulterior motives. Even worse is that instead of keeping your opinion to yourself, you wish to air it out to the world and for all to see, not using sound judgement.

I am still learning, and I know to not think myself wise in my own understanding (something the Lord taught me). It isn't me being a know it all, its me operating in the gifts He has given me, and using them for the edification of all. How little you know me to think I don't look in a mirror and see flaws. The smallest of them sadden me.

As for my reputation, that is in the hands of those watching, those reading, and those we are to be a witness to. I'm not going to boast of my conduct, I will let it speak for itself.

You have this gripe against me, that you wish to somehow catch me in the act of passive aggressiveness. Is it because I once expressed it, what I saw, in you, and it was a righteous judgement? Do you wish to make me out to be a hypocrite? I think you have more important things to do.

The Lord lets me know when I have "crap" that needs addressing, He keeps me clean. He is my Teacher, so you don't have to express concern. He's got me.

Just a heads up you can have both for about 20$
its all in one place ( book ) too .

Its not exhaustive still it’s has both .
If your looking to step it up you may want to try Brown-Driver-Briggs Hebrew/English lexicon for the OT and
Thayer’s Greek/English lexicon for the NT prices very on both . Both are free of commentary ,but have in-depth
definitions of the words and their usage. Both were recommended to me by a good friend. I will say those two books are not for just getting your feet wet . No you are in for a dunking.lol

Stones, to understood you right. You say that we do not wait till we got our new body for to live a life without sickness and deseases?
And if a christian dies on any deseases than because he had not got the right teaching?
If you really believe this?
Stones, I answered your question, but you not Mine questions above. Why Not?

Is not faith an "escape from reality" in some respects? Does it not see the insurmountable odds, and yet still believe? Joanie certainly is on the right track, as she allows the Lord to guide and teach her. In fact, not only is it an escape from reality, it actually defines it through God's providence.

So then, how can you say I preach a false Gospel, when you have only seen me preach Christ and Him crucified as the Gospel?
In the context of "healing is in the Atonement" this is what you said in post #183:

If people don't believe that it is God's will to heal them, how can they even begin to have faith to be healed?... We seek healing, but are asking for something that He has already freely given through the Son. It is yours! Believe.

In other words, your Gospel includes physical healing along with the healing and salvation of the soul. But that is not the Gospel given to us in Scripture (1 Cor 15:1-4):

1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;

2
By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.

3
For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; [does not include sickness, disease, or disability]

4
And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

Since there is no mention of physical healing in this passage (or any other Gospel passage) would you not agree that you are presenting a false Gospel? So now you should make up your mind. It is either/or.

The Gospel is for the soul, but a fringe benefit of Christ's suffering is healing of the body. There is no contradiction here, no either or, necessary. The Gospel is to make those once dead in their trespasses, alive through Christ Jesus. So no, I do not preach a false Gospel, because there is one that is true. Christ and Him crucified.

Exactly. There is ONE WAY to the Father and that is through the Son., Jesus Christ and Him crucified. Amen. Jesus makes dead people alive. Lame to walk...blind to see... No contradiction here.
