I know a few people with gall stones, who had them treated by
sonic shock waves to break them up. Not sure what the criteria is for this
kind of treatment.
Oh and apparently rapid weight loss on a low fat diet can cause gallstones to
grow. (I wouldn’t mind losing a stone or two mind you).

I looked up what causes gallstones, and read that some are made up of hardened cholesterol, while the other, darker ones are caused by excess bilirubin, usually a result of some kind of liver or blood disorder.
