AND I have a question that no one can answer in a way that makes sense.....explain the following....

<---------A
===============> <- direction of the rotation 1037 MPH
-------->B

When I fly to AU it takes 17 hours to fly A
When I fly back from Au it takes 15 hours B

The plane flies at around 580 miles an hour

So.....Why does one way not = 1617 MPH <--Rotation plus plane speed

and

How can I make any ground if the earth is traveling 450 MPH faster than I am flying? Plane speed minus rotation speed

;)
That's too complicated for my simple mind, especially at my advanced age :)

Now posthuman may be able to answer this question, and
he is also younger than I am, and less befuddled by age :D

Oh, actually I think I do know why, but I am guessing it is because you are flying within the earth's atmosphere, and the earth's atmosphere is traveling at the same speed as the earth. Perhaps it acts like a cushion, too, protecting us from the gale force winds (understatement ;)) we would surely feel traveling at such break neck speeds throughout our galaxy and the universe. We would all be blown away if not for the atmospheric cushion :D

The teachers of "Lordship Salvation" don't understand what "Lord" means. The Greek word is "kurios", which means "Supreme in Authority". Jesus already is Lord. making him Lord would be pointless. Just like we don't make him saviour when we get saved: "And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Sonto be the Saviour of the world. (1 John 4:14)

Hi Tourist, it is a civil infraction and why compare "ending a human life" with breaking the speed limit. All sin's are not equal but all sin's are breaking either God's law or man's law. Why not just slow down a we bit and confess you have broken a civil ordinance of the government. Its does not matter if it is a huge sin like murder, but a sin is a sin, confess and move on.

Living Godly Lives in a Pagan Society:
1Peter2:13

13) Submit yourselves for the Lord’s sake to every human authority: whether to the emperor, as the supreme authority,
14) or to governors, who are sent by him to punish those who do wrong and to commend those who do right.
15) For it is God’s will that by doing good you should silence the ignorant talk of foolish people.
I absolutely agree with you that a civil infraction is not on par with ending a human life. In my area where I live 99.99% of the drivers on the road either on purpose or inadvertently exceed the speed limit by 1 MPH or more. I do too, not because I have disregard for the law but because it would be unsafe to do so as you would not be in with the traffic flow and an accident could result. I always try to make a conscientious effort to come to a complete stop at stop signs but sometimes it is inadvertently a rolling stop. If I am sinning by doing so may God have mercy on my soul.

Ground speed and air speed are different calculations but If you add how much of a "tail wind" and add that to the equation you may have your answer. If that does not work ask Posthuman....:)

One way non-stop From LAX to BKK Thailand is about 16hrs. On the return fight, BKK to LAX, the Arrival time is 1 hour before you departed from Thailand. The plane lands at LAX 1 hour before you left Thailand. There is a 15hr time difference between Los Angeles and Bangkok, go figure.

Thanks for your reply, all of our sins are forgiven whether by "omission or commission", Jesus payed it all. I don't think making a rolling stop at a stop sign will keep any of us out of Gods heaven... :)

Yep and those 380 Air Bus are equally amazing, up to 450 passengers give or take a few. And now I hear on all econo flights all you get is a box lunch and a bag of peanuts, wow.

My wife and I were planing a trip to NSW Australia, but God had different plans and we missed our opportunity. We have 2 relatives living in New South Wales, Kaillarney Vale. but my wife's niece returned after a 5yrs School Visa expired. The other relative is my wife's younger sister who married an Australian citizen. They would make the trek to Thailand once a year.

Are your trips to Australia business or pleasure or both. Do you have family there? Sorry to be so intrusive.

Okay and thank you for the correction, my info came from my wife's aunt who flies to Thailand frequently. And my sincere apologies to any one connected to the Airline Companies, I was given wrongful information. And also I need to find out from my aunt about the services on board her flght. Thanks again,

I will definitely fly Qantas if the opportunity arrives.

So is this Paulk saying works count againt you?

Thats odd, Jesus says this:

John/Yahanan 6:27, John 6:27, “Do not labor for the food that is perishing, but for the food that is remaining to everlasting life, which the Son of Aḏam shall give you, for the Father, Yah, has set His seal on Him.”

Mat 19:16-17, "And see, one came and said to Him, “Good Teacher, what good shall I do to have everlasting life? And He said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good except One – YHWH. But if you wish to enter into life, guard the commands.”

John/Yahanan 14:26, "But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you."

John/Yahanan 14:15, “If you love Me, keep My commandments.”

Luke 6:46, “But why do you call Me ‘Master, Master,’ and do not do what I say?”

The Most High says:
Exodus 23:7, “Keep yourself far from a false matter, and do not kill the innocent and the righteous, for I do not declare the wrong right.”

Paul says:
Romans 4:5, "And to him who is not working but believes on Him who is declaring right the wicked, his belief is reckoned for righteousness,"

Solomon says:
Proverbs 17:15, “He who justifies the wicked, and he who condemns the righteous, both of them alike are an abomination to the Lord."

John says:
1 John 3:7, "Little children, let no man deceive you; he who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous."

Jesus says:
Revelation 22:11-15, “He who does wrong, let him do more wrong; he who is filthy, let him be more filthy; he who is righteous, let him be more righteous; he who is set-apart, let him be more set-apart. And behold, I come quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give every man according as his work will be. I am the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End. Blessed are those who keep His Laws, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. For outside are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and worshipers of gods and everyone who professes to love, yet practices falsehood.”

YOU STILL DO NOT GET IT, DO YOU?

He is SAYING:

Romans 4:3-5 (HCSB)
[SUP]3 [/SUP] For what does the Scripture say? Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him for righteousness.

{
UNEARNED, NO WORKS, it was JUST PURE FAITH the INSTANT HE BELIEVED.}

[SUP]4 [/SUP] Now to the one who works, pay is not considered as a gift, but as something owed.

{There for it is NOT SALVATION, because the ONLY SALVATION is a result of GOD MERCY AND GRACE, NOT SOMETHING TO BE EARNED. NO ONE CAN EARN SALVATION, IF YOU THINK HE OWES YOU SALVATION, YOU WILL BE WRONG, BUT IF YOU THINK YOUR GOOD WORKS WILL BE REWARDED WITH SOMETHING ELSE OTHER THAN SALVATION, YOU WILL BE RIGHT. Personally, I only long to hear the words from HIM, "Well done, my good and faithful servant." WORKS ARE NOT REWARDED WITH SALVATION, IT IS AVAILABLE AS ONLY A FREE GIFT OF GOD.}

[SUP]5 [/SUP] But to the one who does not work, but believes on Him who declares the ungodly to be righteous, his faith is credited for righteousness.

{WORKING FOR SALVATION IS IN IMPURE MOTIVE, WHILE WORKING BECAUSE YOU LOVE HIM, IS THE ONLY PURE MOTIVE THERE IS. HAVE YOU RECEIVED YOUR FREE GIFT FROM GOD?}

John 4:10 (NCV)
[SUP]10 [/SUP] Jesus said, “If you only knew the free gift of God and who it is that is asking you for water, you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water.“

Romans 5:15 (NASB)
[SUP]15[/SUP] But the free gift is not like the transgression. For if by the transgression of the one the many died, much more did the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abound to the many.

Romans 6:23 (NASB)
[SUP]23 [/SUP] For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 3:23-24 (NKJV)
[SUP]23 [/SUP] for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
[SUP]24 [/SUP] being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,

Ephesians 1:6 (NJB)
[SUP]6 [/SUP] to the praise of the glory of his grace, his free gift to us in the Beloved,

Revelation 22:17 (NCV)
[SUP]17 [/SUP] The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!“ Let the one who hears this say, “Come!“ Let whoever is thirsty come; whoever wishes may have the water of life as a free gift.

Romans 5:10 (HCSB)
[SUP]10 [/SUP] For if, while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, ⌊then how⌋ much more, having been reconciled, will we be saved by His life!

YOU CAN NOT DO ENOUGH GOOD WORKS TO EVEN BEGIN TO EARN YOUR SALVATION!

Amen, there is no such thing as an acceptable sin.
I had a lady in the Church that I attended, years ago, actually say in response to that question, "Why should I go the speed limit, as long as there is no State Patrol car in my review mirror?"

Castlereagh, yep 4 weeks is a good long stay but any less time and it goes by to fast as you well know.
I reckon this farm has animals and possibly crops. Again happy landings and don't forget
to write home.....:)

Just a monkey wrench.... :)

Rahab lied about the spies and makes the 11 chapter of Hebrews and lineage of Jesus as one of 4 Gentile women in said lineage....
Or in Proverbs 6:30 that says to not despise a thief who steals bread if he is starving. :)
