Ummm.. I don't know. But I'd say if the banned members OP or supporting comments is what got them banned, then it's probably best not to repost it. :)

Our banned brethren have been quoted quite a few times and referred to so I don't see a problem with that.

This may be more fitting in Misc or even User2User Tech.
User bans are not allowed to be discussed in the forums or chats. So if you're going to make a stink out of the users bam you may find yourself banned.
The truth is you don't know the reason for a person's ban. Not all reasons are for public behaviors. More than once I've been shocked to find the reasons for some users bans and what was going on with them behind the scenes.
Just leave it to die or risk being banned yourself. For sticking up for someone you don't even know the reasons they were banned.
And if you're friends off the site naturally they're going to play the victim card and play innocent. So that doesn't prove anything. And if they'd done something you can't see they aren't going to admit to it.

I think you read into my question

I didn't say a thing about wanting to know why a person was banned

TMI that I did not ask for

If you were not clear on your intentions that's not the readers fault.
Also you're welcome for passing along useful facts as well as answering a question you Did mention. Typical BDF attitude.

Your own attitude has been "PMS laden" lately.. More so than Seven's...

many of us are 'still' here because we appreciate and feel gratitude for the 'owners' -
even if we don't agree or understand why they have done what they have chosen to do
concerning members-visitors, our place is to accept, if Jesus wants us here, but I don't think that they
take offence
if we don't understand all of the mitigating circumstances, and hopefully they realize that many
of us have very strong attachments to those whom they have decided to ban and must accept this...
(not talking about the nutters)...

many times it's heart-breaking, especially when we have come to Love them for the different common
bonds that we share or identify with...and thus, this is real life, in every aspect of our lives -
and so we must go back to our Source, Jesus Christ for comfort and for strength to go on and take with us
the blessings that we have received along the highway...

I judge how clear I am by how many respond to what I said in the general arena of "well, at least they got it." In 7's case, everyone got it but you. Thus, not "the readers' fault."

7, I'm with Tourist. I don't think it's bannable, but there are two things to consider in doing this:

1. Attribute who did say it, because honestly? Banned or not banned, every time we write anywhere, it is automatically copyrighted as something we said. CC may be the platform, but our words really belong to us, in a very legal sense.

2. Whereas, you can post stuff others have said before, got to say, in most cases, if I know the person was banned, it tends to lower my trust level on what was said. Instant thought is, "if they were banned, something was wrong in their thinking to begin with." And, I don't always agree with bannings, however I tend to trust the mods enough to suspect they're right 95% of the time.

i understood what she was saying, i think everyone knows that the reasons people get banned are always kept secret.

another cryptic message for who knows why?

well good on you.

you were just simply wrong. I honestly cannot believe that such a simple question can be so badly misunderstood and then people get angry

childish

well I was wondering

not loosing sleep over it though ;)

I didn't think it was bannable...I just thought not the best thing to do in light of the fact the person is banned

I never thought some folks would make such a big deal of it

what was I thinking? :p pretty sure the mods have their reasons too
